This thing sounds fantastic. If you stand it up, it will fill a moderate-sized room with sound, and the bass is great. I love it.

Update 12/05/20:As always, Treblab has come through with their superb customer service. Dennis from the Customer Satisfaction Team contacted me & was very receptive to my concerns & opinions & assured me that they would be shared with the design team. I will say that he went out of his way to ensure that I was satisfied with the final outcome; that is the reason why I upped my rating to 5 stars. I just cannot sing more praises about their customer service (see other people’s comments). Their products may not be perfect, but it is precisely this type of attention to customer satisfaction that will keep me as a customer for life. Thank you, Treblab! 🤜🏽🤛🏽It sounds good. Deep bass is pretty good. The engineering is goofy, though. It says that you can play it while while charging; sure-if you balance it on something very narrow. The charging port is on the BOTTOM 🤦🏽♂️. You can’t even play it plugged in to conserve battery. Pretty dumb. Still thinking about returning it….

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The TREBLAB HD-Max almost literally blew me away. The first time I played it, I had the volume on my paired iPhone up all of the way. The 50W speakers were so loud I had to quickly lower the volume on my phone. You can also fine tune the volume by using the controls on the unit itself. And it is a beauty. It comes well packaged in a lovely gift box with the cords, carry strap, instruction manual, a card that enters you in a chance to win $50 plus helps register your device. And a TRELAB sticker!Unpacking is a breeze and the main unit is well braced within the box with the accessories in a smaller interior box. I didn’t even need to read the instructions to recognize the power button and turn it on. It had some power, but I plugged it in via the USB 3 cable anyway. I’m unsure of the claimed 5 hour charge time with that method (5V quick charge brick) but I can say it takes at least a few hours from total battery depletion. It is rated a battery life of 5 hours at full volume and 20 hours at 20%. It lasts me all day at the volume I play it. Pairing is simple, just choose “TREBLAB HD Max” in your Bluetooth settings. Sound quality is excellent and there are three modes: Outdoor (with more treble), Indoor (normal equalization), and bass boost (self explanatory). The TREBLAB HD-Max has 4 buttons that control a plethora of features, most of which are covered in the product description above and on on their website. Some of my favorites:* The strap, as it can be a bit heavy to carry around.* It is weather resistant and easy to wipe down. The ports are protected by a rubber plug.* Multitude of features.* It can be used as a power bank.* Wireless pairing with a second speaker.* Can be used with phone calls. There is a built-in microphone.* Able to pair with up to 7 more devices.* Subtle LED lights that indicate power level and other functions.* The pleasant on and off sound it emits.* Easy to read, clear and concise mini-manual.* Sound is nuanced and is more hi-end than I expected.I’m so glad I picked up the TREBLAB HD-Max Bluetooth speaker. It has all the power I could ever want and sounds fantastic.~Kort

So I actually recieved this item a day late. But the extra wait was worth it! I had a chance to go to a slot that had the JBL extreme model which I would say is the model that treblab made the HD to compete with and boy let me tell you……. TREBLAB FOR THE WIN. So in regards to sou d the lows are bass driven and permeate the entire room, the mids Gove a clear use of instruments and vocals and the BASS……. holy F. I set this bad boy to bass boost and sent it. This speaker is going with me in the gym, and on my runs. The strap is super convenient too for not just wearing the speaker but tethering it to my child jogging stroller. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I gave this speaker 5 stars. I was going to deduct a star, due to the fact that the charging port is on the bottom of the speaker. Who’s idea was that?!? However, due to its great battery life, I haven’t had the need to charge it while in use. I drive a relatively loud commercial truck, and play it at 30% to 50% volume. Sometime louder. Some days I use it only a few hours, and some days it goes all day, but I generally only charge it every other day. More out of habit than necessity. In addition, the sound is great, considering it’s a rechargeable, portable, Bluetooth speaker. Even over the deep rumble of my diesel engine, with the windows open, I can hear the bass, paired with adequate mid and treble. Overall, this is a fantastic speaker, and I’m very please that I went with the Treblab, and saved myself $200 not buying the other brand.

Let’s get one thing straight up front. The Treblab HD Max speaker will not stand up to a $600 outdoor plug-in speaker. That’s ok though, because that’s not what it is. It’s a boosted version of the HD77 that happens to sound great for how portable it is. The bass response and sound quality are some of the best I’ve heard for a portable bluetooth speaker. You really can’t go wrong here if what you want is something you can take anywhere and is loud. Understand that you’re not going to get deep, booming bass. That requires a lot more power. It’s a great product at this price point.

This is by far superior then the JBL Extreme I got a yr ago (that crapped out completely almost in a yr) And learned this is a more common issue, a lil too late when I found a large thread about similar issues of it stopping working and either having to try hard factory resets, or send it back in, some having issues within a yr of owning. The resets did not work for me, and read others had resets work,, but months later dead again. So I had to find a replacement, and steer away from that brand. I’m really hoping this will not be the case with this? This came highly recommended though. The sound on this thing is sooo good& way better. The bass is great for it’s size compared to a a home speaker. Good quality casing, strap is even way better quality then my JBL, which within a few months broke. I don’t know how the other next two versions of the JBL Extreme are or improved and was not gonna even attempt another try, at least by how much I’ve learned it went down hill in qaulity.Skip the jbl, at least the Extreme. Also just incase get the insurance plan.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. First off, if you’re trying to decide between products, I was very happy with both the Treblab HD77 (smaller) AND the Treblab HD Max! Both off impeccable sound quality, response, and bass. Of course a larger diaphragm means more sound and even more bass, so the HD Max blows its little brother out of the water, hands down. Much better sound and construction quality than other brands; price too. I bought my HD Max for my theater projector actually. The awkwardness of dragging around a sound bar and trying to find appropriate placement within or outside of my house is a pain. With the Bluetooth capability and or 3/8 direct input cable good connecting great sound is a snap. The HD Max is built for travel. It’s also not going to keel over and die when subjected to some light rain, splash from a nearby pool, or a spilled drink. Treblab products are simply built like a tank. And the will play for hours on end on a single charge. Using your phone to play music and you get a call, no problem! You can use the speaker for that too. There really is very little that I can find to complain about Treblab’s speakers. This wouldn’t be an honest review however if I didn’t include a couple of minor issues. My biggest complaint with the HD Max (or HD77 for that matter) is the low power warning that you get when nearing empty. Don’t get me wrong, warnings are good, but not when you’re using power to warn me that it’s going to shut off. You’re just robbing me of rocking out to the last few minutes of the song I was listening to. Not to mention the frequency in which the interruption comes. I think a better option would be using a light system. Example: lit green = full power, yellow = moderate, red = need to recharge. There’s really no reason to audibly tell me I need to charge my Treblab; I’ll know when it dies after all. Lastly, and mind you this is purely a limitation of the technology itself and not Treblab’s fault, I can’t wait until the day that using Bluetooth means no longer sacrificing volume. It’s a story as old as time itself, trying to find the balance between quality and functionality. When you take on the flexibility and convenience of the portability that comes with Bluetooth, you are not going to get the same performance that you would with a corded, uninterrupted, powered version of another audio source of equal measure. That said, Treblab is pretty damn close! Best audio investment I’ve ever made. Bottom line, you will not be sorry!

I got it as I work in a very loud factory and this at half volume vibrates and screams!!! Can’t even have it at full because it’s too loud. Sounds great at max but not if you’re within 50ft… Too loud up close… Use as you’re car stereo. Windows down and treblab bops

I am an audio snob. I wasnt sure about trying this. The quality of these eclipses JBL! I now own 2 of the MAX, 4 of the 77 models, and wireless headphones. I hope they continue to innovate. I do wish they would allow the pairing of a multiple devices and had an app where I could select different sources and connect more than 2 speakers. Other than that I love them.
