I bought this a week ago and love it. My teenage kids have had Jawbones Jamboxes, other small Jawbones speakers and we’ve had a myriad of other little Blutooth speakers. I wanted speakers that would ROCK like my old stereo system in 1990. You know, huge speakers, receiver, etc. this one foots the bill. It will rock out for those times you want to hear loud music. The bass is great BTW. It also works well for what I listen to most of the time, NPR and podcasts.Update a year or so later. Still love it. One of my favorite posessions. Expensive, but worth it.

First I purchased the Marshall Stanmore and I liked it so much that I started looking at the other Marshall bluetooth speakers online. On Amazon I found the next size up, the Marshall Woburn bluetooth speaker. The Woburn arrived and I was so excited to set it up and test it out!! The sound is FANTASTIC and hopefully your neighbors house is not too close and it will play very loud and crisp. I am VERY happy with the Marshall Woburn bluetooth speaker!! Marshall if you are reading this, please make an even bigger blue tooth speaker as I will purchase it! 🙂 If you are looking for a great bluetooth player, with fantastic sound (that also looks good), this should be your first choice. They are available in different colors (I’m a female and ordered the cream color) to compliment my living room furniture.

I don’t know about the Woburn 2, it didn’t have features that justified the additional cost, but this Woburn I is an absolute beast! I have a 50wat EVH 5150 Guitar amp, and I can play music on this Woburn, play alone on that (very loud) amp, and hear both clearly. Mostly listen to hard rock/metal, and for me, this is perfect! Well done Marshall!

I’m not an audiophile, and I’m not someone who can pick out treble frequency misalignment. I’m just someone who likes listening to music at home and enjoys aesthetics equally as much.I have a couple of JBL portable speakers, and while those are good for listening to music while in the shower or out on the golf course, I was looking for something that can go in my living room, get reasonably loud, but still look good. I didn’t want to go the route of Sonos or Bose because I didn’t want a soundbar or, to be quite frank, pay $500 for it.Marshall speaker arrived today and I’m blown away. The cream color of the speaker and rose gold accents really look beautiful. The sound is LOUD. So much so that my girlfriend thought we might get our landlord coming by with complaints. While I’ve only had it a few hours, it’s exactly what I’ve been searching for. Now that the Woburn II is out, the price point is reasonable to boot. While I am not in a position of authority to make a claim to sound quality, it sounds great to me. From electronic to rock to jazz, it’s been great. Also hooks up to my portable record player, giving it an added bonus. If you want something that sounds good and looks equally as good in your living room, I’d suggest it. If the bluetooth issues others have mentioned appear, I’ll alter this review. But on first glance, it’s absolutely worth the money.

I’ve had several cheaper Bluetooth speakers and while this is the most expensive it’s well worth it. Sound quality is very good. Adjustable treble and bass knobs are perfect for getting it just right. Volume goes to 10, I’ve never had mine over 3, be aware before turning it on to start low. I’ve lost Bluetooth connection a couple of times while within range and had to reconnect. Item looks great and sounds even better. If you’re looking to get a Bluetooth speaker and price is an issue, save your money and get this one. You will not be disappointed.

You won’t need any other speaker. Its the ultimate portable Bluetooth plug in speaker to own. The sound quality and its versatility make it a must haveI have the Stanmore and was already impressed by the sound quality. When I received my Woburn I was very impressed. Marshall improved on something that was already great to begin with. Definitely an upgrade

Love the sound and volume that the Woburn is capable of! I also love the classic Marshall amp look of the speaker! I mostly listen to a variety of 80’s music and it sounds excellent! Love that you can adjust the bass and treble separately! The only drawback is that I can’t adjust the volume from my phone, I have to adjust from the speaker…going to look for app that may allow me to do this.

As other’s have stated, the bluetooth on this version is not the best. But I was able to pick up TWO of these Woburns for the price of one new version of the Woburn II. I then bought two RCA Y-adapters and wired both speakers as mono (one left and one right). You need to provide input on both RCA inputs, thus the Y-adapters. So the left Woburn gets the left signal repeated on its left and right RCA inputs, and right Woburn gets the right signal on both of its RCA inputs.

I became aware of the Marshall bluetooth speakers a few years ago while strolling through Best Buy. Being a musician that has owned Marshall guitar amps drew me right over to a Stanmore out for display. I demo’d it and was extremely impressed with the quality of the sound and the punch of the low end from a unit no bigger than a loaf of bread. I knew right away that I would own one someday. Eventually after stalking this thing for a while I ran across a great deal on Amazon for a refurbished Marshall Stanmore, and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s quite loud, but it’s the quality tone I enjoy most from the rock tunes on my iPod Classic while grilling meat in the yard.I had always been intrigued by the bigger, deeper and more powerful version named Woburn, but never actually saw or heard one. I read rave reviews though, but would never pay the amount of money on myself that was being asked for these speakers. Woburn II came out recently, and the original Woburn can be had for a very reasonable price. My Woburn arrived yesterday. It is, as expected, bigger and badder than the Stanmore. I usually have the Stanmore’s bass control dimed, the Woburn sounds best with the bass and treble set at 3 o’clock. While the lows produced by the Stanmore go down to 45 herz, the Woburn’s go down to 35 herz, which needs to be heard to be fully appreciated. Yeah it’s way too loud, but it sounds fantastic at sane levels too. Quite muscular really.

Awesome Blue Tooth Speaker!!! It’s simple (in operation), classic (in figuration), and beautiful (in appearance)!! But the best part is the sound (in performance)!!! You will have to hear the sound to know what I am talking about!!!
