I have (2) of the D8s and thought why not get (2) D9s.More is better right? It is louder. I haven’t fully tested everything about it yet like a variety of styles.I easily removed the handle by removing the black tape covering hiding the hex head screwswhere the handle inserts on the side. Took 2 minutes if you have the right size hex/Allen wrench.I carry mine on my bike so I don’t need the handle. See photos where I carry both everywhere I ride & play my trumpet. You can see where the screws were removed so no more handle!Update: I tested (2) in stereo in an outdoor concert environment at maximum and heard no distortion like on my D8s. Probably thanks to the larger drivers to handle the additional headroom power. Nothing comes close at this price point. If you intend on playing them softly indoors you probably won’t enjoy what they can really do near max volume.UPDATE #2: There is a D9 OS update that greatly improves the indoor bass level if that’s something you’d prefer. Search for the files on YouTube for updating your device.

While product appears to work satisfactorily, warranty registration appears to be an issue. The warranty card included in the packaging indicates “we only provide 48 months warranty period to the customers who have registered for warranty online” Great, however, the URL provided for registration does NOT work and no alternatives appear to be available at the manufacture’s websites (both their .net and .com addresses). Beware. If you are unable to register the product, apparently no warranty is provided . . . test it well during your allowed Amazon return period. After that, we are probably on our own (no warranty)!Update: Via email, the manufacture responded by email & confirmed my warranty registration. Per the email, they are working to correct their URL on the product’s warranty cards.

Today I received my D9, I opened the box, pushed the power button and immediately paired it with my phone. I went to my playlist and brought on Deadmau5’s song Let Go (featuring Grabbitz). I hit play and a soothing clear sound filled my room. I cranked it up and when the bass dropped, I couldn’t believe the rich warm and full sound coming out of this thing! In less than 1 minute I got on Amazon and ordered a 2nd unit so I can sync them up (as advertised) and play them in stereo. OMG technology is awesome! So yeah, don’t think: BUY! And this this has a 12,000mah battery to charge phones and it’s waterproof? Done deal solid every day of the week!UPDATE: went to the beach, paired both units into stereo, totally rocked the area with a full rich sound. This is good stuff guys!

Tested this on Black Lake in Hammond, NY for our annual fishing trip the first weekend of May. It rained a lot, the speaker was out in it the entire time and playing at moderate to loud volume for 8+ hours a day on the water for and back at the cabin for beers nearly all night every night for 4 days —and only needed charged twice. It’s loud enough to hear going down the lake in the wind at speed 20Mph+. The sounds is nice and clear, the Bluetooth is simple and functions flawlessly, the speaker is fairly compact and tough as nails —this thing just did everything perfectly. Nearly every guy on the trip said they were going to order one. BUY IT.

Started my bt speaker search with an insignia sonic… not good … next speaker jbl extreme 2 which was on sale for 149.99 but even at that price to me the sound wasn’t good super muddy and not what I was lookin for… next was a soundcore motion plus.. great speaker but not quite the bass I was lookin for even tho I know at the end of the day these are smaller bt speakers they’re not home systems like I have in my basement but the motion plus was good enough I also ordered one for my dad… problem is at that time soundcore also released the motion boom so I ordered that one while still holding onto my plus… instantly I liked the boom better.. not as good as mids or highs of plus but with eq adjustment it came close… the problem with these 2 speakers is at 80 percent volume or higher and this is connected to my note 20 ultra they would begin to distort…. over 80 percent and it got bad and sound especially on boom would drop off…. so I then sent those back and ordered the updated all black aiwa exos 3… so far at this point the exos 3 was my favorite altho bass heavy songs at 70 percent or more volume and it would also distort… so sent it back… next up I ordered a harmon kardon onyx 6… that speaker if you love bass and plan to always leave it plugged in is a great speaker.. the problem is when you unplug it and I guess to save battery they cut the power to it its like half as loud or good as when it’s plugged in… on top of that for rock and country it was not great for hearin the instruments and vocals bass great but all the rest not great and again unplugged and it was automatic deal breaker…. so watchin reviews etc I stumbled upon the W King D9…. I ordered and let me tell you I was impressed from the get go and that was before my wife helped me update firmware but after a lil time with it I increased volume and from 70 percent all the way up to max all this thing does is get meaner and better…. for real the bass is legit not as deep as onyx 6 plugged in but better than it unplugged and def better than the rest altho the motion boom is close but again the motion boom at 80 percent volume or higher just goes downhill…. and im huge soundcore fan own 3 different pairs of earbuds and headphones.. liberty 2 pro spirt x2 and the q30 so im not tryin to knock them but to me and I’m being 100 percent honest this w king d9 is what i feel you’d get if you put the boom and plus together as 1 speaker….. now after a while we updated firmware biggest difference is more bass on each setting but most noticeable on the indoor eq setting…. but more I listened to it it really continuse to blow me away with the sound quality.. great bass mids and highs and man does this thing get loud and it does so without distortion…. so add in the phenomenal battery life the super convenient handle and I finally found my bt speaker I was lookin for… so much so I ordered a 2nd and for anyone looking to do that the sound that these speakers put out in tws is unreal… its truely amazing and I just really can’t recommend this speaker enough.. at the full price of 89.99 with then 10 percent off so like 82 bucks it’s a steal even at 89.99 it’s a steal.. last week I noticed they had it at 76.49 with 10 percent off so I ordered the 2nd one and one for my oldest brother.. he currently has a bose revolve .. ive listened to the revolve for 199.99 and it’s big brother the revolve plus for 299.99 and to be quite frank …. this updated d9 smokes those in sound quality …. I promise it does and that to me is what makes me so thankful fir finding this speaker.. all the searching and tryin out speakers I feel of all the ones I’ve had this is hands down the baddest meanest best sounding bt speaker of em all….. order this speaker if you’re like me and have tried others… you too will appreciate it and again for the price it’s a no brainer!!! W king… ya got a new customer and I gaurantee I will tell anyone and everyone I know to get this speaker….ladies and gentlemen.. the d9 smokes all those speakers I mentioned the onyx 6 would be the best closest out of all those hut that’s only plugged in and even then you’d only get more bass but not as loud and not as good a kids or highs as this d9 and onyx 6 unplugged again the d9 smokes it!!! Anyone on the fence order it.. you won’t regret it!! Also added a photo of how you pair 2 together from owners manual

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is my 2nd W-King Bluetooth speaker. I liked the D8. The D9 is a step up it has NFC a much bigger battery for added time between charging. Rich bass, clear highs. I use one for my TV as a soundbar and music streaming. I use the other in the bathroom it really sounds great in there. It can charge my phone 3 full charges. I highly recommend this over more expensive speaker that sound the same or worse. I like to bring it outside for playing while having a BBQ with friends.

I got the D8 a little over a month ago and figured I’d try the D9. My simple test was to put the D8 in front of me and play a song and then swap the D9. I was surprised as the difference was instantly noticeable. The D9 is definitely more powerful. The bass on the D9 is, noticeable, less heavy than the D8 however the rest of the range sounds clearer or more accurate. An audio person could describe it better. My primary use case is on an outdoor tennis court. I had the D8 for weeks and it also covers an entire court and the 2nd. I’d say the difference is the effort. You don’t need to turn the D9 up as much. I would 100% prefer if the handle was detachable or like the D8 and loose since I keep it in my backpack with my tennis rackets. The body is a bit bigger. I much prefer these buttons over the D8 as they have some color on them and thus easier to differentiate at a glance.Update: installed the firmware upgrade and the bass is much better. The firmware improvement was enough for me to return the D8 and settle on the D9

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I have the 50w W-King and was so impressed with it that I decided to get the new 60w W-King when I saw it. Amazing sound with deep bass and clear audio for audiobooks. It has a huge long lasting battery. Clear sound across the shop and two of these can be paired together if you would need more power.

  9. Oldskool

In honesty, was going to purchase the D8 mini only because it had the micro SD slot, but heard about this newer speaker that had more power to it. So, have had it about a month now, and am very impressed with the sound quality and design. Has a very large battery to it (12000 MA I believe) and two woofers and two tweeters and a large passive driver on the back of the unit. The buttons are located under the handle, and they are multifunction buttons, so make sure to read the manual to get the most out of this speaker. There are two EQ settings (activate by hitting button on far right), and the default is the one that has heavier bass, but when you hit the button, it drops the bass and increases the mids and highs. It has a good range when using bluetooth, have had no dropouts as of yet. I mostly use my unit with the MicroSD slot, and I currently have a 32GB card in it, and it accepts it fine. The exterior is covered with a rubbery coating, seems like it will withstand a day at the pool or beach, but do not believe that it can withstand submersion for a long period of time, so I wouldnt try it! 🙂 Anyway, my main thing I do not like about this speaker is that you cannot customize the EQ to your liking. The defaults sound fine for virtually all genres of music, but would like more customization. And that the passive driver is essentially exposed on the back, means that a careless poke or drop could possibly rupture the material on the driver. Should have a speaker grille on it like the front drivers! How they missed that is incredible! Other than that, I still highly recommend this speaker. Have not cranked it up to max, mainly because I don’t want to make my neighbors call the fuzz on me, but I know this thing could easily fill a room with sound. It is not really a party speaker, but it gets awfully close.

Ok, first off I ordered this speaker and the soundcore boom. I received the boom first. The soundcore boom sounded great. Then i received WKING D9. I tried them both side by side. Once I started listening to the D9 I wasn’t happy with the boom any longer. Yes, the boom has a nicer sound to it but it wasn’t very loud and this is where the D9 shined. These speakers are under $100 and to get the most bang for the buck I had to keep the D9 and return the boom. If you want to listen to music softly maybe the boom is for you. but, I like to jam so D9 was for me!
