I wanted a wireless speaker for personal use- while I’m in the kitchen or doing crafts. For a little speaker, it packs plenty of punch for me! Every range is crisp and clear- I like bass, and there’s plenty of that as well. Each genre of music is represented beautifully, and I’m very happy with this purchase!

I first heard about the Flip (an earlier generation) a few years ago at my local AT&T store. One of the sales reps talked about the great sound from such a little package. I kind of put it in the back of my mind and didn’t think much more about it. Then Covid hit, swimming pools were closed and I decided to get a little swimming pool to cool of during this hot PA summer (climate change is real folks!). Anyway, I digress. After sitting out in my pool with my Beatsx, I realized I couldn’t really lay down with my neckband on…so I remembered the conversation with that young sales rep. I ordered the Flip 5 and was instantly won over! It has a really nice, rich sound, the battery stays charged for long periods of time and it has made these hot summer days more infinitely enjoyable. I am sold…you will be too!

I was a little underwhelmed when opening the box since the size is so small compared to what I was expecting. I will say: #1 waterproof is a must, and they didn’t miss the mark on JBL Flip 5, #2 this little speaker packs quite a punch. I was using it on a pontoon boat for a week without issues. The kids loved it, and the sound was decent enough to not trigger the audiophile in me not to freak out.

These little speakers pack a huge punch and battery life is more than a fair amount. Wanna use it all day at the beach or weekend camping? No problem, grab a solar recharger. This is my second JBL speaker, the first was a gift 2-years prior; now keep one at home and one at work. A colleague walked into my shop one day when I had it cranked-up; she thought I had a “large boom box” playing.Well worth the money!

I had an awesome Harman-Kardon Onyx speaker for a few years & loved it. Sadly, it died & as Summer is currently roaring into the East Coast, it’s time to delight my garden & annoy the neighbors w/ my eclectic musical choices. My original experience w/ JBL! speakers goes way way back & know that they were bought by Samsung (so was Harman-Kardon both done in 2016) & while I have had good experiences w/ Samsung electronics, I was a bit leery of what they would do to these product lines. I am glad I put my distrust aside & ordered this speaker, figuring that if I disliked it, would give it to one of our friends’ kids as a gift. While not nearly as loud as the H-K Onyx, this speaker is plenty loud enough & is truly able to handle a quick spritz of water w/o tanking. While the additional bag that comes w/ this can be handy, the plastic case is great to travel & fits easily in the pocket of a knapsack & if you get a carabiner clip, you can pretty much hang it anywhere be it on a beach chair or tree branch. If you’re looking for a quality BlueTooth speaker, I recommend this one. It’s not exceedingly expensive, it lives up to the JBL! name & is far more rugged than the cheapo models I’ve seen in retail stores.

I had a flip 4 but I “lost” it in a breakup. So I decided to get the flip 5. I’m happy with it and can’t wait to use it on my vacation in Cancun. Also will be good to have during my lake visits. The only thing that I was disappointed about is that it doesn’t have a headphone jack input which I used to use on my flip 4 with my switch when I had it plugged into the projector. That’s my fault for not reading the description though and Nintendo’s fault for not supporting Bluetooth. Again, I’m happy with it and plan to use the heck out of it.

The speaker works incredibly well. Gave it as a gift to a college diver to use at the pool during practice, so the speaker being waterproof and the included carrying case both worked out great. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a portable Bluetooth speaker with good quality audio.

I don’t often write reviews on products but I highly recommend this item because the sound is a MASSIVE kick for its size. No joke, it’s a really good sound in such a small package. It has great sound depth and can surprisingly blast music without losing its excellent sound. I was skeptical at first because the thing is only 7inches wide but it’s easy and fast to connect. If you’ve previously set it up to your phone, it automatically connects the instant you turn it on.For anyone who is reading this: BUY IT. It’s 100% worth the price. You wont regret it. It’s worth every cent. You can tell the quality just by how surprisingly heavy it is. Make sure to get the case for it too, makes storage for the speaker and charging cable convenient. Both are just really sturdy and again, really great quality.

These are very good speakers. It gets loud enough sitting next to you but neighbors aren’t likely to complain. This speaker is meant for Music. It’s buffers all sound so you don’t get the glitching from starts and stops of Bluetooth reception problems, which I don’t know about you but it bothers me. This also allows it to sync with other speakers like itself if that is what your looking to do. There is no way to turn the buffering off.It is not good for watching YouTube videos or watching movies. There is supposedly better sync technology in Bluetooth 5 but I’m not seeing it. Video and sound is slighting out of sync and it bother me. Even if sync did work as advertised it delays starting and stopping videos such as you might do pressing the space bar to catch a specific frame of a video.You also unfortunately can’t use this as a small speaker for instruments; midi or analog. There is no aux input to bypass the buffering.
