Battery life blew me away! I bought this as part of my changing to a less hectic, more technology minimalized life style. It still has a screen that is a functional size, and runs Android apps perfectly for unicating with coworkers, etc. Smart phones are a necessary evil in the modern work place.I can still run Audible and Google Maps. Even on days of “heavy” usage I can leave it unplugged overnight without concerns of it dying. It was also jam packed with UI features that help prolong battery life, including an option to auto turn off and on at set times. The App Blocker does wonders to save battery life, but can be a bit annoying until you figure out and tune your app permissioms how you want them.

This is by far the best phone I have ever owned. Compared to iPhones and top end androids I find it to be superior for so many reasons. If you find yourself irritated with the endless stream of thin phones that you can break in half with your bare hands, with giant screens and tiny batteries with price tags that rival gaming computers – this may be the phone for you. If not, Unihertz may have something else for you, they are taking a different road than the competition and I am so happy to finally see someone doing it right. Here is why I love this phone:It is small. It is cheap. The battery life surpasses every other phone I have ever owned by at least a day of life (including recent iPhones). It is easy to handle. It is centralized around being a phone, not a social media addict stream. It suits my needs perfectly. It won’t ruin your jeans like the comically enormous phones that most people have accepted as normal. There are reasons people would not like this phone:Being uncommon you are likely to have to deal with issues yourself. It is not for those who are not technically minded. There are settings you likely will want to change and things you will want to adjust. It is easy to do but you may want to avoid this phone if you struggle with this type of thing. ATT had trouble forwarding to my virtual voicemail app, but it worked perfect on US Mobile, so I consider this a failure for ATT, not Unihertz. Some qualities of the phone to consider:It is very heavy for it’s size. It is mostly battery. I like this, you may not. If you are a social media zombie I would avoid this phone. I feel that if you were to lay back and stare up at this above your head while letting your hands go numb like the typical social media lover, you may be putting yourself in danger. I imagine if you dropped this phone on your face from even a foot away you might break your teeth.Durability:A lot of people want phones that will survive falls onto concrete. Most phones cannot survive this and when they do it is really luck. I think this phone may have a better chance of survival but it is still a phone – it will probably break just as easy as any other. The real benefit with this phone is that it is very easy to hold on to, to store, and it is a lot less likely to be fumbled like the large tile phones that are now standard in the industry. Simply because the shape if it is much easier to hold – like an old Nokia.I would give it 100 stars if I could. It is so cheap I am considering buying a second one as a backup just incase I lose or damage the first one.Unihertz for the win! I am excited to try out the Jelly 2 as well!

If your life is on your phone, you’ve probably made peace with the trend of ever larger screens, and perhaps are rooting for even bigger still. I rarely take pictures, control my home AC, navigate, or check my security cams, and I never use a phone for social media or gaming. The pocket filler is mostly for texts and calls, and a 4″ phone really hits the sweet spot for being comfortable in your pockets and still allowing you to type a text. I previously used a first gen atom, and it was too small for me to type on.I haven’t and don’t intend to test the durability of the atom L, but my first gen atom did fail the water test when I was leaving Schlitterbaun water park and realized it had been in my pocket all day. After that, the usbcharging port never worked again. It should also be mentioned that the Atom L’s screen is not recessed, so if you drop it face down, the glass will be the low point, so I hope they used quality glass. I’m not sure it even is glass, as mine came with a screen protector already installed, quite nicely with no bubbles or lint I might add.Mundane phone features are fine, the battery endures, calls are loud and clear and you have vanilla android without the usual vendor bloatware.FYI, I am currently using AT&T in Texas and reception and data are fine.

I’ve only had it a few hours so this is first impressions. This phone is amazing quality for the money. It is VERY well made and very solid. It has something of the expensive watch about it ! It operates well too. Very easy to use . Android 10 . Had no problem shifting all my stuff from old phone on to it. Camera’s decent too. It doesn’t seem to have any surplus apps etc , very simple clean setup. 3 different satnav systems and an fm radio – fair play . A toolbox full of useful stuff, including speedometer, plumb bob, magnifier , bubble level, speedometer etc. It has the feel that whoever made this phone genuinely cares deeply about it ! and only £239 ?!?! I just spent £120 on cheapo android phone 6 weeks ago, dropped it in a stream trying to take photo of my children for about 2 seconds literally and it ceased to work, hence looking for something more robust and came across this. If someone showed me this phone and told me it was £500 I wouldn’t bat an eyelid and would still buy one for that ( if I had £500 – which I don’t ). Unbelievable !!

I love the phone. But Verizon does not recognize it, so getting set up was a nightmare. Because we were determined to make it work we found a Verizon store that was able to help. They had to take a sim card from another phone to make it work. We discovered this after untold hours on the phone with Verizon who told us to give up and send it back. But now it works and is a great phone.

I was a backer of this phone and have had it for 6 months. My priorities were usability one handed and durability. The Atom L wins on both accounts. This is a 4″ 16:9 screen, really the only good “small phone” on the market right now, at least on Android. For durability it is excellent, I have dropped it on concrete without even a scratch. The processor and camera are quite good. Obviously not as good as a $1000 flagship, but better than I expected. The battery life is also best in class with the small screen and huge battery. Yes it is heavy and thick, but you get battery life and you don’t need a case, so it’s a good trade off IMO.

My first smart phone was a petite Atom which I liked. This continued to work following ocean immersion. As I became a heavier user I needed a larger phone with higher capacity battery. The Atom L met that requirement. Although a larger size it is still not too big and the larger screen, especially keyboard, is nice. It seems very rugged and has other added capabilities (over the Atom) such as SD card compatibility. The camera is very good. I use Consumer Cellular and some system settings had to be changed to download data with easy tech support of CU, I found a nice rotating clip case by Turtleback (for iPhone 5/5S/SE) that is a perfect fit (itemA-PMPVerSMExtHDL2). Other on-line reviews cover the phone in more detail. Overall a good practical phone that is not fragile. The owner manual is a bit too minimal. That should be improved.

I took the phone to my local Verizon store. They took a sim card and put it in a used phone they had sitting around. After they activated the sim card with my phone number they put it in my new phone. Turned the phone on and turned mobile data on.

Best kept cell phone secret. A little heavy but high quality. Great if you want a tough one hand phone. Tool box features are amazing. Absolutely would recommend this phone.
