This is quite a leap from my Moto G5. Reddit is fast. Google Assistant is quite responsive. Autodesk Sketchbook is more fun to draw with. Lots of screen real estate. The extra speed and pixels are worthb the price. When I double-chop to light up the torch I whisper “Lumos!”

Outstanding replacement for my old Moto g play (g4). Way better GPS reception. The old phone lost the signals anywhere other than sitting on the dashboard, and sometimes even then it would lose them. The phone reception is great and the Android auto app works well with sync3. I don’t have any knowledge about $1,000 phones so I cannot answer to that, but this phone is very good at what I use it for. It does make me wonder if the people who spend $1,000 on a phone are really getting way more than they will ever use, and are they just spending more and not getting their money’s worth. I bought two of these on a lightning deal and got a good price. If my phone is outdated in a couple of years, I won’t be crying the blues because I spent way too much! Good phone, good value, what more could you want?

I have to say that I love this phone alot, but the G6 was very dependable and reliable budget phone for the price. The $50 mark up was a little shocking but there’s multiple improvements that I guess we will have to pay for like 4gb + 64gb , larger screen, more vivid display and fd+, upgraded processor. Having Alexa isn’t a big hit because you still have Google voice assistant which is more than enough. The turbo charging is great but the one bad issue is the small 3000mah battery. Life span is horrible. I’m not on my phone 24/7 but I average a good amount of time logged using it and my average time from fully charged to the power save 15% pop-up is a lousy 7 1/2 hrs. They weren’t stupid at Motorola that’s why there’s a G7 power model and it’s cheaper, what! I’ve had it since day one launch off of Amazon and I’m happy with my G7 overall it was a good choice.Update on the G7 8/22/19The best $300 budget phone of 2019 can’t go wrong with this, Motorola has stepped out of the crowd with a great phone upgrade from the G6. Now will they make a G8 next year? If so I will have to buy it for my upgrade from the G7. I have to say I am a little surprised that I was able to get more battery life from the phone when l went to the XDA forums and saw that it has secret ways to make it happen and I noticed a big difference in the performance as well. So go check out the rest of the forums at ASOP, and Android development XDA, etc. Well I’m glad I bought the phone it’s been a better performing device than I expected. Glad I didn’t spend the money on the iPhone or Galaxy S10. 5g won’t be available for most people until the end of 2020 or into 2021. Save the money, buy a new Moto.

I loved my G5 but it had become too slow so I got the G7 from Amazon. I chose this unlocked version as I use TracFone. The migration of service and content was long and stressful even though I had to expect that moving from Android 8 to 9 on a new Moto phone would have challenges.After holding the new phone I knew I had to encase it. I went back to Amazon and bought a protective case from Best quality case. Cost was $6 and it is excellent!!So far I am extremely pleased with the speed, and enhanced volume in this new Moto. And this Android version Pie gives you more options.The negatives are:It is heavier than the 5+.Initially I had problems with the email with 2 email clients. Fixed it.Volume of voice emails is a wee low even though I always invoke the Speaker.I wish battery would stay charged longer.Nonetheless, overall I highly recommend this phone as THE leader in the budget Android category.

I have been using the Moto G series of phones since version 4 (I get them all from Amazon, unlocked). Recently, I switched to Visible Wireless and had to get one of their Samsung phones. I hated the service and I missed the Moto G. I dumped Visible (it’s terrible and their customer service is horrid) and switched to T-Mobile, with the Moto G7. Everything is crystal clear, the interface I’m used to and love is back, and I even like the new location for the fingerprint sensor (The “M” log on the back of the phone). It runs smoothly, has a good battery life (not as good as some other phones, but still good). Ultimately, for the price, you are getting a great phone. And I can attest, it works awesome with T-Mobile!

I have been an apple phone user since 4, but I have been rocking the 6plus since it came out. The 6plus was great at the time but very outdated…but I ran Into the issue of price. I love apple phones …but as I have aged some I would rather spend money on other options in life. There is no way I’m paying 1k for a new iPhone and I’m not even up for paying 4-500 for like a 7 or 8. I was stuck…then I saw this phone in sale before Christmas…it was less then 2bills and looked great and had decent reviews. I took the leap …and I am soooo glad I did….now only comparing it to a 6plus …this phone rocks…camera upgrade was so huge for me I love it…I know it’s still not state of the art but nice…super fast …no slow downs…no issues with wifi etc..the screen is bright and beautiful !! The turbo charge they mention is for real it takes like 15-20mjns and my phone goes from. Like 10% to like almost full…my iPhone would take forevvvaaa. I only will occasionally fire up a game on a phone anymore and I loaded up some graphically intensive games and this phone didn’t flinch…I don’t use the fingerprint thing so no idea if that works or not …only down side to this phone is the Android software…I’m getting used to it but Apple is definitely better…but for the price I will adapt and it isn’t like painful or anything 8)Took it to my verizon store and he popped out SIM card from iphone and out in this one and no issues at all. Now my wife has an iPhone x and it definitely is a bit better but it was 1k when she got it …I’ll take this for 175 or so and buy and new ps5 inthe future with the savings ..and a game…and an extra controller…and put the change in the bank….love this phone …

Update: I took this dish photo of a meal we cooked for Christmas. The camera on this Moto G7 phone is almost as good as my Nikon. Like wow! I ordered this phone as a gift on Black Friday, close to midnight, and it was delivered by USPS on a Sunday?! I did not know USPS delivered anywhere on Sundays. The phone is super fast. Face recognition works. Fingerprint recognition works. The battery seems to last forever because for 8 hours now it has been in constant use with no need to charge! It is the first day of use, but this phone is everything Moto wrote on Amazon. 65GB/4GB, superfast processor, awesome color graphics, superfast loading of games, sharp and clear photos, and just talking to Alexa without pushing any buttons is so cool! It is everything Moto G7 said offering great quality at reasonable and affordable prices. It was well worth the purchase! We are excited about this purchase. Thanks Moto and Amazon!

The white version of this device is simply beautiful. With 64GB of memory + Google Photos you will never run out of memory space. Phone is fast. fast. fast. I think the photos come out a lot better than previous versions and I am not running out of battery even though I played with it for many hours. It’s a great purchase, loving it… will update if it changes.

If you liked the feel of the older Moto phones (and the alarm and notification sounds), this one still has that friendly, fun vibe. It lags sometimes, but just in a minor way. As long as you don’t push it too hard, it works as nice as a more expensive phone. Just know it doesn’t feel cheap by any means.I have flagship phones, but got this one as a spare and to have bedside if I needed to browse the Internet. Fit and finish is great. It looks beautiful in white. I got it in December 2019 when it went down to $180. AMAZING DEAL. Even at $300, it’s a great phone if you don’t use processor or graphics-intensive apps, but since it’s older, I’d say wait until it goes down in price again, because you can get something newer and more powerful for a bit more. I installed a Poetic Affinity case and it felt good in the hand. After owning it for a few months, I gifted it to a non-techy friend that lost his iPhone 5. His wife loved the G7, and it has been working great for him since then. It still looks brand new. He has taken impressive pictures with it, too. I’m into photography and have 15 years of hobby experience; the pictures really impressed me. The way he composed the scenes made them look like magazine shots.The camera does need to be learned in order to avoid its weaknesses, since it’s obviously not a flagship phone. Digital zoom and low light obviously kill the image quality. It does yield beautiful JPEGs in good light, but the pictures look way better if you take them in DNG format and edit them to your liking, and use a better noise reduction software.The ONLY thing I dislike about this phone, the only one, is that the screen’s contrast ratio isn’t great. Blacks look grayish. The screen has lots of IPS glow. It’s not AMOLED like the older Moto phones, but even by LCD standards, those blacks literally look grayish. It does have nice colors and gets bright, plus it’s 1080p so it looks really sharp and clear. Doesn’t look like a budget phone screen. Believe me! It looks very nice. Other than the poor black levels, it didn’t look worse quality-wise than my Samsung Galaxy S10+ or LG G8, but just way less impressive.If you are not a power user, such as a person that’s editing 4K videos or playing graphics-intensive games or strictly using it as your main photography tool, this could be your primary phone. Data speeds on T-Mobile’s LTE are fast, and it operates smoothly besides the occasional lag. It’s light in weight, too, but feels solid. Get you a nice case and 3 tempered glass protectors and you’ll be set for a couple years without spending much.This is the smartphone to get when you’re on a budget but don’t want to miss out or feel like compromising.
