I have had this a couple weeks now and it looks and operates very well. It is a linux dev laptop and builds of huge frameworks are very speedy. I sometimes dont even remember where I went wrong before the compiler running on this tells me.This is my first LG laptop and they sold me. The keyboard response is like the fingers are part of it. The weight is tiny but it feels rock solid. The ONLY thing I can ding this for (but will not) is it not remembering keyboard lighting mode between sleeps (in linux). The keys are white and lit white and when the screen and other screens cast light on the keyboard when backlit, the keys disappear. I turn off backlighting and it is perfect but after a sleep back to full on. If that is my biggest gripe, not bad and this thing makes me happy about laptops again. Well done LG.Update 6/24/21: Still love it. Almost went crazy on Amazon day to buy it’s big brother. Should have. This laptop is still the best I ever owned and I toss 2-3 a year after beating the SSDs with a sledge. Not this one. Still love the white and the trim. Makes you feel like you are doing something important and then you do. Again LG…well done.

I bought this one by looking at the Consumer Reports ratings. This was one of the highest rated laptop in their list.I love this laptop. Really don’t have many qualms about it. I also own the same LG 14″ laptop which is a little over a year old. That one also works great. It has the touch-screen feature which this one doesn’t. That is the only feature I miss about this laptop.Off-white color with lighted keys makes it look very elegant. It is extremely light weight. The best part I like about this laptop is that it doesn’t blow hot air out much. LG has done a good job with the internal heatsink. I don’t have to worry about it over heating during extended use.I would have loved a bigger Solid State Drive. The one thing I would recommend LG changing is the power adopter plug that goes into the laptop. It has a very thin pin that plugs into the lap top. No thicker than the 3.5 mm audio jack. You have to be careful if you have kids that they don’t bend it or break it. I had to buy a new charger for the year-old laptop because it has the same charging plug and it broke. I think I paid $14 for it.I would recommend this laptop.

  3. JJ Retiree

It is light weight, and performs well. When the laptop is off there is no way to tell when charging is complete (plugged in and charging light is white all of the time). I called LG customer service because you are supposed to charge it before using it. The LG guy told me light would turn green, NO. I wish I could replace the battery myself. This laptop can use the WPA3 WIFI security protocol, which means it will not be obsolete for some time.

  4. L. Rostocki

Good performance, attractive – overall worth the price. If as durable as other LGs – worth even more

  5. Amazon Customer

MET ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS. ZOOM, PLAY MOVIES, WORK, VERY FAST, DOES NOT BOG DOWN, REASONABLE PRICE

I have been looking for that perfect laptop for me, and I believe I have found it. The gram laptop is the laptop to own for me. I am finishing up a masters program and like to surf the web while on the couch.First some misconceptions about this device: it is plastic: no it is not plastic it is in fact magnesium alloy the same material as most Surface devices. I like the feel when touching this device that although does not have that cool metal feel, has more of a textured wax paper feel.People complain about the flex. I am not gonna lie it does exhibit flex, but I would never press my laptop down as hard as tech reviewers do. Plus this is mil spec rated for drops and bumps so it should be pretty sturdy.Overrated: How light it is. It is really light, weighing only 2.2 lbs. It is neat, but it does really change the day to day function. I think if it was also thin like the galaxy book pro this would be more of a feature. As it is, this makes it just really easy to pick up and move around one handed. It is a regular ultrabook thin, just not super thin.I really like the display. I like the 16:10 aspect ratio, and the panel gets bright at 450 nits. The panel itself produces good color representations. I especially like the symmetrical bezels around the display with no annoying thick bottom bezel.I love the white color because it not only is not boring, but it does a great job at reisting fingerprints and smudges to stay clean.Battery life is amazing, with it probably lasting well over 10 hours. I say this because I have used it for 8 hours straight one time and it had 47% left.Performance is what you would expect mostly for an 11th gen i5. I say mostly because reviews have noted this is thermal throttle to not reach high clock spends to keep fan noise down and battery life up. It is marginally different to competitors in real world use but it is something to note if you are looking to get top of the line performance.Keyboard is not a pixelbook go keyboard but it is really good allowing me to type at high speeds with minimal mistakes. Trackpad is very responsive and accurate. My complaints are minimal in the grand scheme of things:Cost: This starts at $999, but that is for the i3 version. Really the i5 version should cost $999, not $1200 it cost a regular price. The Razor, Dell, and HP are all pricing their i5 models at this price so I don’t know if this is an intel thing for luxury laptops with the i5 processor. This looks worse when the macbook air starts at $999. I did buy mine on saleSpeakers: The could use a bit more powerConclusion: This is arguably the best premium windows laptop you can get that is not plain and boring. Is it everything I want in a laptop? Yes that is all…

  7. Jim A.

I love this LG Gram laptop. It is so lightweight. I like the white color very much. I use it every chance I get. For the high-ish price I don’t think a touchscreen would have been out of the question, but other than that, this is the best and easiest to use laptop I’ve ever had.

  8. Planned Obsolescence

Incredibly light. Laptops are made for portability, and this is that laptop, period. The i5 CPU handles everyday tasks flawlessly. This is a single fan laptop, so this may not be for high performance gaming or professional-industrial heavy duty rendering or simulation. But for everyday tasks like web browsing, documents, art design, movies, casual gaming, this will fit the bill. The 20 hour battery life is always a plus. The light weight justifies every complaint one could have. Very satisfied with the purchase.

  9. Mae Johns

Such a wonderful computer. Small and VERY lightweight but powerful. Extremely fast and quick to turn on with long battery life. A+++++
