I bought this laptop to replace an aging device. I wanted a desktop but couldn’t get an RTX3000 video card for my build, so settled for this laptop since it had all the features I needed for my work.I use the machine for 3D rendering and some gaming. A laptop chassis is not ideal for this, as the video card gets extremely hot during 3D rendering. I know repeated use will likely cause the machine to fail eventually, but it gets the job done. Will keep it as cool as possible, do constant backups, and hope for at least a couple of years use out of it.Otherwise, it’s a good machine. Screen is a bit flimsy, but everything works as expected.

What I’d like to know is why someone spending this kind of $$ on a laptop wouldn’t pony up just a few more bucks for a protection plan?

Battery power is little to none unless your doing just surfing. Otherwise it is an excellent machine. It runs great, plays games great and it gets up and goes. I would recommend this PC to anyone but be on the lookout that the battery doesnt last very long.
