The stand is well-designed and built. The metal is of good quality. After the first few minutes of adjusting different angles of the platform and extension sections, it is quite stable. The extension section might seem to be hard to raise/lower, but it is not difficult at all. In my opinion, the extension was designed be sturdy so that it won’t unexpectedly drop down with your laptop/iPad on the platform. The technique is to push in the release button at the top of the back side of the extension to release its grip, and then it’s quite easy to move the extension up or down. Be sure to push the button fully in until a click is heard (or felt); just lightly pressing on the button does nothing, a good safety feature in my opinion.

This stand is perfect for teaching and doing work with my MacBook Pro! It is adjustable for sitting or standing (like a podium) at my dining room table or any height in between. It is sturdy, and the best part is that its design allows you to angle the stand so that, combined with the way you angle your laptop, whether sitting or standing you can keep the top of the laptop screen at eye level (best for reducing eye and next strain) while also keeping the keyboard low enough (best typing position so that you do not cause shoulder or neck pain). Plus, this company is a small family business – even received a personal note with the product.

its a well designed product, nice finish, good construction, its a little hard to adjust the positions but the up side is that this makes it very sturdy so im not worried that the stand will fold or bend in any direction, wherever position i placed it it will stay like this forever, since i do a lot of typesetting letters its a very good add on to my office, and lately when everything is being done remotely via video calls i need it more than even to give presentations etc. it was so good that i bought another one for a friend as a holiday gift, i hope he will like it 🙂

I have been working without a laptop stand for years and didn’t know I even needed this item. It’s compact but durable, sturdy and surprisingly stable. It allows for multiple adjustments so that you can have the correct ergonomic fit for your situation. It also helps with being in the proper position/height if you need to be on zoom meetings. I have a relatively small desk space and was looking for a way to fit 2 laptops (one in front of the other) without having to purchase a new desk since I also have other must-have items on my desk. This laptop stand allows me to put my work computer at the front of my desk and have my personal computer behind it and then can just move the work computer out of the way when necessary. I would recommend a wireless keyboard, however, as it is less ergonomic to type on the laptop keyboard on top of the stand. One additional note: what contributes to the sturdiness is that it takes effort to move the stand to different positions which allows for the stability so that it doesn’t easily move around. It’s not difficult to change positions but it does take 2 hands. Great product overall!

I have been using this laptop stand to create a standing desk at my kitchen counter, and it has served this function perfectly. It allows the bottom of my laptop to be lifted to a max height of approximately 13 inches from the countertop. It is very attractive and has a small footprint, so I leave it out pretty much all the time. I was worried that I might not be able to use the keyboard easily due to the lip that keeps my laptop in place, and due to the pressure that typing places on the adjustable height mechanism, but I have been able to type very comfortably with no problems at all. The customer service for this product is also outstanding. A++!

I’m using my Dell Precision 5540 laptop (15.6″) with a Dell U3417W monitor (34″ 3840×1440) in a 2-screen configuration, and had been using an old Dell laptop stand which took up huge desktop space, and couldn’t raise my laptop screen as high as I wanted it. I bought this stand because of the impressive height adjustability, and boy does it not disappoint. I could raise my laptop screen probably 12″ higher than shown here, if I wanted to. And this thing is rock solid. There are no locks; a given configuration is held in place by the mere friction of the hinges, and you need to apply considerable force to adjust it (in a satisfying, comforting sense; not an annoying, excessive sense). The build quality of this thing far surpasses my expectations. I would give this thing as a Christmas gift.

Love the construction of this item. If you want something sturdy to hold your laptop then this bad boy will do that for you. It’s pretty flexible in how you can position it BUT I will say it’s a bit tough to move it around between different positions. For me that’s fine since I keep it up high to make it eye level with how I sit(ergonomic) but if you want something you want to modify every other hour, look elsewhere as the sturdiness of this thing makes it hard to move easily(it’s possible just not super easy) between one position and another. However if you’re looking for something to set up in a certain configuration and forget it then this thing is awesome.

This stand is sturdy, well engineered and well made. It has made a big difference since I set it up and put my laptop on it in the ease of using my laptop (even though I also use an auxiliary monitor. I wish I’d bought and started using it long ago. Significantly less eye strain, neck fatigue and shoulder tension. Great idea; great product. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars on “Ergonomic” is because (1) it is hard to reposition – because it’s so sturdy – but I haven’t needed to reposition it since setting it up; and (2) I can’t figure out how to use the small button under the “foot hinge” of the device and there were no instructions or diagrams sent with it.

I study a lot for my job and for fun, and my neck has started to cause me problems. I attribute this neck pain to always looking down at my reading materials when they are on a table, desk, or whatever.This device will hopefully fix that now that I can place my iPad (my primary source of readingMaterials) at eye level.The stand is adjustable with a great range of height. It’s very sturdy the joints are tight, which can be adjusted with the included Allen wrench. It is designed for a laptop but the support can be tilted so far forward that a tablet works, no problem.Do yourself a favor and look where your Amazon orders are shipping from. I had to start doing this because of the Chinese stores overwhelming Amazon. Whenever I look for ANYTHING on here, the top 10-15 items are generally produced or shipped from a Chinese seller. I’ve had too many poor quality products which have (now) obviously inflated reviews. I’ve even received review requests for these items that I’ve bought that offer gift cards for a guaranteed 5-star review.Anyway, long-story short, this item is from a US store, it may or may not be made in China but at least its from a likely reputable source.
