I really like this monitor. Because it is 27″ instead of the normal 24″, the pixel size is larger, and it is much easier to read. The curve is great since you sit close to a monitor. I never thought curved TVs made sense, but trust me, it is great on a monitor. The internal speakers are okay for voice in a quiet room, but they are fairly quiet and tinny. If you want to listen to music, or if there is a lot of background noise, you will need external speakers. It is great that an HDMI cable is included, but it is only about 5 feet long. If you are connecting to a tower that is not right next to the monitor, I recommend buying a 10 foot HDMI cable. Then it will reach anywhere. The monitor came with a film on the screen and a sticker on top of the film. They were easy to remove. Assembly was easy, and a screwdriver is included. The monitor has a nice tilt feature so you can adjust the angle. There is also a nice indicator light that shines down on the desk.

Solid monitor. Got 2 of them. Picture is really good. Like others have said there is a plastic trim around the edge so it’s not really edgeless but it does go all the way to the plastic edge (no black between picture and plastic edge) so I’m guessing that’s what they meant by edgeless. Not a deal breaker for me. The trim is pretty small so I don’t notice it. The curved is nice. Your eyes don’t have to refocus as you sweep from one monitor to the next. It also gives you more of an immersive feeling than regular flat ones. For the price this monitor can’t be beat.

This screen is curved and a bit bright, but I suspect my settings are off regarding that. Good picture quality. Using it for gaming instead of a 65″ color TV. At 3 feet it is better than the TV at 15 feet. Came with a HDMI to HDMI connector which I had to replace with a device connector – HDMI with one side flattened and the other end HDMI. Computer has 4 connectors for this but only one HDMI connector which I needed to connect to the TV. Not a problem with the screen but something to check regarding purchasing a new computer.

I was real sceptical about these monitors because they were so inexpensive. Pulled the trigger anyways on 2 of them and so glad i did. Everything is spot on and they are awesome! 3 months daily gaming. Could not be happier!

I bought this because I needed a much larger screen as the middle screen of the three that I use. It is great and I can open two web browsers at the same time for SAAS software development and configuration. I say it that specifically because I frequently need to copy script, etc. from one instance or my reference docs from one screen into another. And it’s great to be able to have both windows opened large enough for that to be practical. I’m not a gamer so those aspects I don’t have an opinion on. I will say that the screen is too bright in its default configuration (because for development it’s easier to see my 3 monitors by being close. MS Word and the config environment is too bright. I solved this by putting the monitor in ECO mode and turning the sharpness down to 25%. A higher sharpness level causes characters on the screen to have inconsistent thickness and led to eye strain. If I were to buy a 32 inch then I would want 4K UHD because of the issues with eye strain when looking at text in any monitor larger than 27 inch–obviously talking about the process/method I use for development.

I use this monitor for many thing. Some slight PC gaming as well as for work purposes. As soon as I plugged this monitor in it looked fantastic. It is bright and the curve adds a little something to the experience. But I have waited to review this purchase because everything is great out of the box. It has been about a month now and I still love this monitor. Color and pictures are still very crisp. Very happy with my purchase.

So far. I’ve been using this monitor for my Xbox, and the picture is not bad. Audio, is ok, but I’m using my own speakers alongside it. I’ve got nothing negative about thisEdit: Sept. 29, 2019Quick Update, this monitor is still in fantastic condition. It runs, looks smoothly and nothing has yet to fail. Still highly recommend to anyone reading and to my friends/familyEdit: Sept 28, 2020Still a champ!Edit: March 14, 2021Might upgrade but not too bad. It still has a few years in it

Like many, I was hesitant to purchase this! I decided a few days ago that I wanted to buy a 27″ monitor and a curved screen seemed cool, so I went for a ‘renewed’ (huge mistake) Samsung curved screen 27″ monitor. When I opened the box, I was dismayed to see that some of the materials were either missing or out of the bag. The stand was fairly easy to assemble, and soon I had the unit attached to my Mac Pro Tower system running OS X Mojave. From the get-go the experience went down-hill, as the picture just wasn’t that bright or sharp. After calibration, it only looked a little better, but I could live with it. But then I noticed the elephant in the room! There was a nasty light-leak coming in at the bottom corner of the right side of the screen. In fact it looked more like a damaged panel than a light-leak. So now I’m angry and I call Amazon who, after talking to two reps, refunded my money to a gift-card, where after receiving (2 hours) I immediately started looking into another monitor. I couldn’t really afford anything over $200.00, so the Spectre caught my eye. Although the reviews were mostly great on Amazon, I also saw some glowing reviews on some high-tech websites, so the 27″ Spectre was ordered and it arrived about two hours ago. This is my experience:1. Amazon had it double-boxed and carefully packed. (The Samsung was NOT double-boxed)2. The monitor sits inside its own colorful box, also carefully packed.3. Accessories include labeled packages of screws, power-brick and cable + HDMI cable and Booklet.4. There is also a cool magnetic screw-driver and cable management attachments. (Very nice!)5. It took less than three minutes to get everything attached. Unlike some reviewers, I found the stand easy to attach.6. The protective film was easy to peel off.7. Build quality is excellent, and this does not feel or look cheap.8. The inputs are simple: VGA, HDMI and Power-Plug.9. Hooked it up to my Mac and the picture came on without a hitch.10. Happily there were no pixels burnt out and no light-leaks or bleeds whatsoever.11. The picture looked good, but not especially bright.12. Once I figured out how to navigate the big configuration menu and make some adjustments, the monitor came alive with a sharp, bright and crisp display.13. Text looks good; MUCH better than the Samsung did.14. Others have complained that is not an edgeless display panel. I find that issue to not be an issue at al, as it is very close to that reality. The rim is very small; barely noticeable … not to me anyway!Final Thoughts: This is a wonderful monitor and Sceptre did it right! I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I sure hope that over the next several months, I remain a happy camper!

This monitor just arrived (I am looking at it now writing this review) so I can’t speak to its long-term quality/durability. That being said, I am very impressed right off the bat. I wasn’t really sure what to expect with it being curved, but frankly the curve is not extreme. In a good way. I would say it adds a small amount to the viewing angle and overall aesthetic of the monitor, which is perfect. Too much curve makes it annoying and less usable, this one has just enough to actually offer something of value and not just a gimmick.Picture quality is quite good. This is replacing a 10ish year old Samsung 24″ monitor that was insanely good quality back in its time, and I was surprised how much better the quality actually is. I don’t use it for anything too intense, just work stuff and watching some videos and movies, but it performs very well for that. The aesthetics and build quality are great for a monitor at this price point. I was surprised to find the neck of the monitor’s mount is actual metal rather than silver-painted plastic. It includes some cable-grabber things (designed to, I imagine, lead cables from the back of the monitor down to where they plug in) that don’t seem to really be useful at all, and the instructions barely mention them. For me, that’s not really a huge deal. If you’re concerned about tidying cables, some 5 cent zip ties will work much better anyway. I was also pleasantly surprised by the “edgeless” design. It definitely has edges, the screen does not go all the way to the end, however the edges are small and nicely beveled, which gives it a very modern and high-tech look. Though, the screen is flush with the edges, so if that’s what they mean…. then, well, it is. At any rate, it seems to be a very nice design that looks great. It also includes a little screwdriver to install the massive number of screws it comes with…. 3. I’m sure the little screwdriver cost very little to manufacture, but it seems wasteful to me. Who doesn’t have a standard phillips head screwdriver? And what are you going to do with this little cheapy screwdriver after you’ve used it for all of 3 screws (if even that, I’m sure most people will use their own anyway)? Throw it away. Seems wasteful to include it. Not really a knock on the monitor I guess, just a comment to the manufacturer.Overall, if you want a monitor that looks sleek and modern, has solid picture quality, and you’re willing to spend a bit extra but don’t want to go crazy, this is a great choice.

this is a very nice monitor. the curved screen indeed makes a difference.i tried it with 3 different computers with 3 different input types (Usb-c, vga, hdmi) without any hiccup. it worked fine for every combination. Granted that I am not a big gamer, I do not know how it would perform while playing games that require extensive graphics resources. my only regret is not to purchase the 32-inch model.
