I saw this mouse at $31 or so and assumed it was probably inferior to the Razer / Logitech / Corsair MMO mice. I was super WRONG. It’s actually better than any of them. .I have used the Razer Naga ($74), Logitech G600 ($50), and the Corsair Scimitar ($75), and this mouse has a better feel and is more user friendly than any of them. The software is also the best of the four. I’d rank software and usability as #1: Perdition, #2 Logitech, #3 Razer, and #4 Corsair. Everything these days on amazon is rated 4.2 stars, so it’s almost impossible to figure out what to buy. That’s why I’m writing this review. The feel of the Perdition is awesome, the texture is fantastic, the buttons are firmer and have a quality feel, and it has the button next to your left click, which is a great addition. The only negative I can say is that this mouse wheel has a slightly looser feel to it than the tightness you’ll get with the Logitech. But it beats the Logitech in all other categories. Just buy it, it’s so affordable.

I have tried multiple mice with the 12 thumb buttons. I did not like them Buttons too soft, cheap feeling, ect… This Red Dragon Perdition is hands down the best I have used. Great for all the extra buttons needed for Fort Night. Buttons have a good textile feel, but not clicky or loud. ALL buttons are programmable, including the DPI buttons. AWESOME! Because once I got my DPI set where I want I reassign those 2 buttons for reloading, freeing up another more convenient button for something else. This is my second one. First one lasted about 2-2.5 years and the only thing happened is the red rapid fire button stopped working. I use that for my interact button, opening doors and picking stuff up. So it is a well used button. Every day, sometimes all day long. Very easy to program macro’s and different profiles for Fort Night, PubG, COD ect… I used the first one so much I wore out 3 sets of pads on the bottom. Finally I took drops of epoxy and made pads that don’t wear out. Having the custom weights are a big help. I use all of them. Makes a smoother pivot and better pin point stops when micro aiming. If it’s too light it’s hard to control as well. My only complaint is the cord. It’s a nice, sturdy cord. Braided and high quality. But these braided cords are stiff. I would like a cord that is more like a wet noodle. But there is no corded gaming mouse with a soft noodle like cord so have to live with it. No latency at all, the mouse is as smooth as silk. Highly recommend for gaming.

I develop 10-12 hrs a day Visual Studio and loaded this with keyboard shortcuts. One row is for debugging, another for cut/paste, etc. A few snippets too(hints that trigger the snippet lookup). As I use features I added them to the mouse. F5 is mapped fire button, which runs your app instantly after making changes, which is a pleasure not to have to touch the keyboard or move to the toolbar. The two buttons under the scroll bar are mapped forward and back.Best $30 I ever spent. Productivity is increased because I don’t have to break thought and think of keyboard shortcuts. When you repeat this 100s of times a day, you can really appreciate this piece of hardware. I have no comment on its durability but it is high quality. Very attractive too vs an ordinary mouse.One key could be mapped to profile switch, so you could have like 60 buttons if necessary. Only little thing is it will not store a large textblock mapped to a key. Logitech hardware can do this (but needs a driver and software to operate). The mouse does not need any software once it is programmed. It acts as a keyboard.The software didn’t work at first until I did RESET ALL, then it worked perfectly.My old mouse is very lonely!

I am a LONGTIME Razer Naga user. I had the first generation Naga a few days after it released back in 2009 and I used it to play WOW for years. I was a hardcore raider back in the day and that mouse got a serious workout. That mouse lasted me for 6 years. Since then I have been through two newer generation Nagas neither of which lasted more than a year before they started glitching out. In less than 2 years they were unusable. I don’t bang my mice or abuse my gear, something clearly happened over a Razer as their product quality has completely fallen off. I decided it was time to try something new, and boy am I glad I did. This mouse was FAR less expensive than the comparable naga, it has a much better feel in both texture and size. The side buttons are arranged so they are easy to locate and press. I never get lost clicking the wrong button and my large thumbs have yet to mis-click and hit two buttons at once. In addition this mouse is a far better fit for my hand, and is actually much more comfortable than any of the Naga’s have been during long gaming periods. So far I’ve had ZERO issues and am very pleased with this mouse. If you are looking for an MMO gaming mouse I strongly recommend you spend your money here!

I’ve been using this for about four months and here are my thoughts:Everything is just perfect except for one minor I thing that barely even bothers me. After I log into Windows, there is about two seconds where I can’t move the mouse. I think that’s because the driver software for it is starting up when I log into Windows.The rest of the mouse is so perfect that I’m still giving it a 5-star rating. I’ve tried quite a few gaming mouses before this one, this one beats even the more extensive ones. I recommended this to other people as well, and purchased it as a gift for someone. Everyone loves it.The macro keys on the side are easy to reach (I’m right-handed, average-sized palms)The profiles are very easy to set up with the included softwareThe amount of options when it comes to setting the macro keys is just wow!The adjustable weights are an added bonus. I keep it at max weight, but I like the idea that I can change it if I ever wanted to.It’s nice that there are multiple RGB zones, that way I can keep most of it red and black (my office color scheme), but I can have one zone denote the profile currently in use.4 months of using it and no complaints at all. Doesn’t seem to have taken any wear. Still works as new. I highly recommend this gaming mouse.

I’ve used this mouse for over three years now and it’s still going strong. I recommend it every time someone I game with is looking for a new mouse but doesn’t want to shell out for the big brands.The software is a little clunky but you get used to it. I love being able to have different profiles for all the buttons: I have one profile for boring work stuff (copy, paste, find… I even put in a macro with like 20 keys one time when I had to fill out a form 100+ times just with different employee names). My other profiles are for different characters in a video game that doesn’t allow custom keybinds per character, so at least I can easily rearrange the ones on my mouse via the profiles.The removable weights are amazing. If you are feeling too much drag when you first get the mouse, try taking out some of the weights. And the little plastic case is great as I’ve moved cross-country with this mouse twice now.The ONLY real complaint I have is that most of the surface is very lightly textured therefore difficult to clean. I contacted Redragon asking if one of their newer models is a more matte surface as it appeared in pictures but they told me that they can’t compare products since they are just the seller not the manufacturer (huh?! sellers compare their products all the time…)

Pros:-The $30ish dollar pricetag for this makes it easily half the price of it’s main competitor, the Razer Naga. I feel like Naga’s quality has been going downhill the last few years, and a Naga Razer was only lasting me around 12 months with every day normal use. I’m not mean to my mice, the Naga just didn’t hold up. I gambled on this because I thought, “Even if this DOES break after a year, that’s way better than paying $80+ for the same amount of use from a Naga.” I got a few years of use out of my M901 and when I had a minor issue with it, I immediately replaced it with another.-It has mappable buttons, you can remap these to whatever your heart desires. I predominantly use this an an MMO gaming mouse to play FFXIV, and it’s perfect for that. I admittedly don’t use most of the buttons except for the numberpad ones on the side, but it’s useful for that.-Speaking of the side buttons, they have a nice sort of concave/inverted tip to them, and this makes them very easy to use and differentiate which rows your on.-It’s a little on the smaller side, which for myself (a person with small hands that most gaming mice aren’t designed for) is actually a very nice perk. Bigger mice make my carpal tunnel worse, so this slightly smaller one is nice.-They recently started packaging these in reusable “tacklebox” type cases so if you want to travel with it, it very neatly fits in this compact hard case.-It has weights in it, so you can get a more custom feel out of your mouse.Cons:-I don’t particularly like the rough texture that they coat it with, it makes my hands feel oddly dry, a bit like touching the rougher sort of microfiber clothes. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, and after a few months of use, it will wear down enough it’s less noticeable.-Even with my small hands, I sometimes find my pinky can drag a little off the side, so just be aware of that if it’s a thing that bothers you. This might heavily depend on how you hold your mouse too, so this may just be a “me” thing, and I definitely don’t hold it against Red Dragon.—This is the second one of these I’ve owned, and I only replaced the first one because after years of use, it started to hold left click a little bit, which was really only noticeable when I was highlighting text to copy/paste. I’m sure this is an easily fixable issue, and it didn’t even do it that often, but I didn’t want to mess with it too much considering I can just get a brand new one for $30.All in all, Red Dragon is making very good quality products at a fraction of Razer’s price tag, so if you’re wanting to try a gaming mouse but don’t have the dosh to fork over for other Razer’s products, seriously consider giving Red Dragon products a try. The price tag makes this a very nice entry level for anyone even looking to try a MMO-style gaming mouse.

Responsive, well built and utterly customizable. If you need a mouse for gaming, this is good for anything you want to do.I was hesitant at first about the use of third-party software to assign buttons and macros to the multiple keys on the mouse, but the software is very light on resources and easy and intuitive to use. You can save your preferences is profiles and keep 5 Active profiles that you can switch to a button built on the bottom of the mouse.I mainly play first-person shooters using the mouse and it works fantastic for doing so, all the optional keys on the side make using the keyboard a lot better for me cuz I don’t have to take my fingers off of the directional keys and basically the only other button I have to press on the keyboard is the spacebar, I have custom bindings for every other function on the mouse. In my opinion this is much better.It’s nice to know that if I decided to play an MMO with complicated macros, I’d have what I need.The construction the mouse is fantastic, with a non-slip matte black finish, adjustable weights, and a braided nylon cable that’s nearly 6 ft long. It’s the best Mouse I’ve ever owned, I’ve played with more expensive gaming mice, and this holds up. So if you’re looking for performance on a budget, this is a good place to start.The buttons on the side of the mouse or a bit small, and I have fairly large hands, but even with this situation as it is I still don’t have much of a problem with accessibility. Plus the customized binding allows you to disable button so you don’t have to use all 12 if you don’t want to. I absolutely love having all the extra options.

I decided it was time to replace my standard mouse with a gaming mouse. I wanted a mouse that is more comfortable to use. Wow what a difference. I am impressed with all the options that are available with this mouse. The mouse comes with a breaded USB cord – very high quality and you can select the color and breathing rate of the dragon on the mouse – this is really cool. It also has adjustable weights, so you can adjust the weight of the mouse by removing weights; the weigh adjustment is really a good idea. The mouse package also includes, replacement feet/pads for the mouse, a mini disc with the dragon software, so one can set up the mouse’s number keys and options for various games. This includes profiles too. The software supports options for setting the DPI, accelerations, pointer speed, scroll speed, double click speed and polling rate. This mouse is a bit overkill for me, but I really like using the mouse. It fits my hand very nicely and is easy to use even when play a game for an hour or more. I had to readjust the mouse settings in my games as well. I think for the price, there is not a better mouse out there. This is the only mouse I want in my house!

After a year with this mouse, I can say it’s preformed the most consistently out of all the gaming mice I’ve used. This includes the Razer Naga and its variants, Logitech, and other off-brand mice, wired and wireless.From an ergonomic standpoint the mouse works beautifully, however it takes some getting used to. The mouse feels pretty much perfect in my hands, but my hands are quite small, so people with large hands beware. The ergonomics will likely not be comfortable for you. The mouse has a wonderful texture and feel, not too grippy, not too slippy, perfect for my preference.Now onto the buttons. The left and right click are audible and tactile with the left click feeling just a hair worse than the right; absolutely nothing to write home about though. It feels fantastic. The DPI is easily adjustable using the buttons under the scroll wheel, and they are surprisingly well-placed to prevent accidental presses, which is very nice. The side button on the very left of the mouse has some…interesting uses, but it’s not useful for me, so I won’t consider it a con. It is pretty poorly placed, which is honestly the only flaw with the mouse in my opinion. I have stretch my index finger uncomfortably to press it. Now, the side buttons. This might be a deal breaker for some, and it took some time for me to get used to. The side buttons have more of a “membrane” feel to them, not a “mechanical” feel. If you love your clicky tactile feel, you won’t like the feel of these side buttons. However, I would still say give it a try. I would definitely not describe it as “unpleasant.” Quite opposite in fact, it’s actually very interesting and nice. However, the buttons do not all feel consistent when I press them, but that still does not detract anything from how the mouse preforms, it still feels fantastic.The DPI can range from very slow (6in = one full screen of cursor movement) to blazing fast (1-2in = one full screen of cursor movement). I use the second-to-highest DPI setting, as I’m used to having high sensitivity when I game. I admittedly don’t need to use the software, so I haven’t. I don’t have any real use for programming macros, and I dislike using that kind of software. However, looking at some of the other reviews it seems like the software isn’t too suspicious, so if I wanted or needed macros for something I’d at least give it a try.The weights and button to change the lighting is on the underside of the mouse. Honestly, I thought the mouse was too light for my liking, but I enjoyed my Razer Naga for how light it was, so I got used to it pretty fast and love it now. It is still very light with the weights inside the mouse, and they’re also a bit tricky to get out of bottom of the mouse, but turning the holder and give mouse a light tap on my desk makes them all fall out in their holder. The holder itself holds each weight very nicely. It also fits snugly inside mouse, so you don’t have to worry about all of them falling out if you re-adjust your mouse position. The “Setting Switch” on the underside lets you change the color of the logo on the front of the mouse, which looks very nice. You also don’t need to use the software to change the lighting, which is a nice plus.The materials of the mouse do feel cheap, but surprisingly it’s actual construction feels professionally done. There are no unpleasant rattles, sticks, or textures. It seems like a very intelligent and efficient use of cheaper materials, which is impressive to see. The surface material also feels very resistant to wear and grime, so none of the side buttons or left and right clicks have lost there tactile feel. This is truly my favorite feature about the mouse; it feels just and good now as it did out of the box.Final notes: I have absolutely no major complaints (if any complaints for that matter) about this mouse. It just works well, no unresponsiveness, no cheapness, and no headaches. For the price I really just recommend you try it for yourself, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
