This is my 4th PC racing wheel. Mounting it is maybe a little trickier than most but once clamped down- it wont budge it does not do force feedback- but it does vibrate; wasn’t sure about the default settings on that but got used to them eventually. The main problem is that I have found it does NOT work on some newer games that are out in 2020- this isn’t necessarily the fault of HORI its that the necessary drivers are not out yet- I’m happy STEAM gave me my $ back on those but its frustrating to be stuck with a limited game selection so in hindsight I would have been better off investing another $50 for something more mainstream that works across the spectrum.

I bought this wheel for my computer recently and was very skeptical of the few reviews, but ive been happily surprised recently by its performance. the wheel and pedals are very responsive and work well. The pedals are sturdy and when using the heel rest dont slide out from under your feet. they are a little too close together for my feet, but thats not a major problem. the wheel is comfortable and turns further than i usually need in the games i play. ive played Dirt 3, GTAV, American and Euro truck simulator, project cars, WRC Powerslide and Need for speed with this wheel set and its worked spectacularly all around. Its easy to attach to a desk or table (with the clamp or suction cups) and only requires one USB port to connect to your computer. Most games will auto detect the wheel and allow you to simply plug and play. some games on the other hand with no in built configuration for wheels (like Grand theft auto) will require a small third party program called “XBoxce” its a free Xbox controller emulator that allows you to map the wheel to a controller diagram. allowing you to use the wheel comfortably with any game that is controller compatible. (yes you can play dark souls with it). ive attached several photos to show it attached to my desk with the clamp to show the overall size.

This gaming wheel is a great start for anybody wanting to play racing games or ATS games. Trust me, I liked the wheel but I had an issue whit the one I received. The problem I had was about connecting the wheel to my pc. I always had trouble trying to get it recognized by my pc. I tried so many times, and I probably only played it once, and then It was disconnected. My pc would not recognize it again. I thong it was probably an issue with my PC but it appears that the issue was the wheel because I try the same port with other devices and got no problem. The overall appearance and quality of the wheel are great. I just got lucky to get a defective one….

The HORI Racing Wheel is awesome! I really like it a lot. It really makes a big difference when playing a racing game when compared to using the controller. The steering wheel even has a little vibration to it when you hit this or that which is nice! The wheel handles well and feels good in the hands which has a rubber grip on the sides of it which is a nice feature. Feels just like an actual racing wheel. The buttons are like the ones on the controller so that’s a nice feature too. The pedals work good and have just enough pressure when you press them down. Over all its a nice steering wheel and pedals. Well worth the money.

We purchased this for my son’s birthday. It works on his computer perfectly and is compatible with all the games he’s played it with. We were a bit worried when we bought it because it’s a PS4 wheel and the game he really wanted to play it with was never released on that platform (it was Xbox/PC only) but it still worked with it. It’s responsive without being too touchy, and it allows you to toggle the sensitivity to your preferences. We’re fans!

This is not a simulation wheel . The rumble isn’t that bad and is comparable with an controller but doesn’t replace force feedback . It works with everything I have tried it with so far . Mainly Snow runner and Project cars 2 . It took some hardcore setup to get it to feel right in project cars , but most other games its plug and play and will work as an xbox controller if the game has no wheel settings . For Project cars 2 , in the calibrate wheel part , when it says turn to 90 degrees and hit enter . Turn it to say 270 or 180 degrees , depending on how the settings on the wheel itself are set . I like 270 as it feels real , where 180 is like F-1 cars I think . The pedals , I actually have no issues with them sliding on carpet when the flap is extended and the brake is slightly heavier than the gas like real life . The buttons feel exactly like PlayStation buttons except the shifters , which still feel fine to me (100$ wheel here ) . For the price , the extra immersion is worth it IMO . With a VR headset in Project cars , even with this cheaper setup , you will be blown away ! I have bought 2 now , and likely will grab 2 more for my family .

Wheel Review: If you have ATS or ETS(2) this is a great budget wheel! It can be a bit difficult to set up on PC but just search on YouTube, “How to Setting Hori Racing Wheel Apex on Euro Truck Simulator 2 | v.1.37 update !! Check it Out!” (copy and paste it) It is one of the best tutorials to help set it up. When you tighten the mount to your desk, (the suction-cups are a bit of a joke LUL) tighten it just enough so that it won’t move around on your desk. If you tighten it too hard, the wheel becomes difficult to turn at times. It has a great feel to it and I’ve had no problems with it. There is no force feedback the main movement mechanism is like a bungee cord. You will get some vibrations from the rumble inside when making sharp turns, which is cool. Honestly its a 9/10Pedal Review: The pedals that come with this wheel are not the greatest. They tend to slide around a lot since there is no gripping mechanism. The pedals are plastic with a spring resistance. When cold the accelerator tends to squeak (from my experience lol) Don’t let this stop you from buying this wheel, you can accelerate and break directly from the wheel itself. 6/10Final Thoughts: I’ve put 199.5 hours into ATS using this wheel and I’ve had no issues with it at all! The wheel is sturdy, pedals are “meh”, setup can be a bit challenging (watch that YouTube video). It’s genuinely a decent wheel.

It actually gives my son a realistic driving experience which is great. It forces him to actually drive, using the brake and gas properly.

Wanted a inexpensive steering wheel/pedal setup for Euro Truck Sim 2. Wasn’t interested in spending a lot of money for force feedback. This unit fits the bill perfectly, and works great with Windows 10. Being disabled, it is hard for me to use the pedals but the steering wheel has L2 and R2 buttons on the rim that work the gas and brake. I would recommend this wheel to anyone who just wants an inexpensive wheel without force feedback. It does have vibration feedback which when working, simulates road bumps, and tires hitting the curb etc, however, mine stopped working the very first day. Double checked settings, and force feedback is enabled, so I am guessing something inside the unit stopped working. It is much easier to drive with this than the Xbox One controller I was using previously. The pedals do slide around a bit on the plastic floor mat I have them on, however a few strips of Velcro will fix that. Update. Checked the Hori site, and found a firmware update for the wheel. The vibration effect now works correctly. :o)
