I wanted an inexpensive controller while on holiday so I bought one of these for around $20 from amazon.It arrived quickly (kudos to Amazon) and after I bought 2 AA batteries it instantly worked with my Windows 10 PC .I have played Just Cause 4 with it and there was absolutely no configuration needed. Windows recognised it and it worked.I didnt expect that as my Logitech F710 took soo long to setup and has problems every now and then; but I didnt experience that with this controller.I also used this controller for the Dolphin Emu and it works flawlessly with very good response times.If I have to be picky, I would say that the receiver which you plug into your PCdevice is the size of an old time flash drive. So if you plug into a front or side USB outlet it will protrude. This is not something to minua a star over, but it does annoy me and I will have to rearrange the USB connections so I can plug this into the back.Also note this requires 2 AA batteries which are not included; but these batteries are not expensive to buy separately.If you are looking for a hassle free wireless controller for PC then buy this !

Good value for money controller. Not quite as well made as an original XBox controller — but still solid. Responsive controls, good latency (or lack of) in the games I’ve played. Auto off. Only quibble is the LED on the USB is a bit brighter than I’d like. Was concerned my Android TV box, which can be fussy, wouldn’t like it but paired in an instant, no problems. Note — two AAs not included.

It’s not exactly a PS3 controller, obviously. It registers as an Xbox controller on my pc. I’ve had this for a year and I only have problems when my batteries die. I just use cheap batteries from the dollar store so it’s not a problem at all. I use these for pretty much every game on pc. It works great with ps1, ps2 and ps3 emulators, I also use this for snes and nes, steam games, Epic store games, and really any game formatted with controller support, but at no fault of the controller itself, sometimes mapping breaks on the emulators so I have to disconnect, uninstall the driver and restart my pc, unplug and then just plug the usb dongle back in. It was plug and play originally for me (my pc is running on windows 10). I didn’t have to install anything myself as far as the controller is concerned. I really just forgot to leave a review until it popped up randomly in recommended products when I was tracking a completely unrelated order. The feel of the controller is very similar to an Xbox 360 controller with the original default battery cover, not the rechargeable one.

First off, the physical design of this controller is nearly flawless, IMHO. By that I mean it’s a perfect replica of the XBOX 360 controller it was obviously modeled after. Even the AA battery compartment is interchangeable. Now, it doesn’t have the headphone jack, but I couldn’t care less about that for my purpose. Weight and quality of materials were satisfactory at this price point and actually better than I expected.But why 4 of 5 stars? Well, despite it’s price, there are some button “feel” issues. I ordered a couple more, so I’ll report back to see if it’s a QC issue or an actual design problem. But so far, my first sample has a flaky D-Pad. Left and down seem fine, but the right command often doesn’t register without mashing it, even though it feels fine. This is a huge failing, and the biggest flaw with my sample. I hope it’s just a one off…Second flaw is the triggers, which are well documented to not be great. Instead of linear, they get easier as you push them, and are difficult to control precisely in game like Forza. Also, my right trigger provides less resistance than the left, which is a little annoying, as my left trigger has a more predictable feel than the right.Last “flaw”, and I’m not sure if this is the controller or another issue, but the joystick dead zone wasn’t as predictable as I’d like. Looking at the Game Controller Windows interface, it looks perfect. But in games, it felt difficult to make very minor adjustments with the joy sticks. However, center was dead on center on my sample.But that’s all I could find wrong. At close range and direct LOS, I could not detect any discernible delay in response that some reported. Maybe they updated the wireless, or it could be a range/LOS/low battery issues. Not sure. But my first impressions are very positive here. I like that it uses AAs, of which I always have rechargeables on hand.Overall, I’d choose this over a used XBOX 360/One controller in most cases. I’ve tried that route, and they often have so much joystick wear that it kills the experience. With improved QC and better trigger feel, this could pass as a fully legitimate system controller.

So far the controller has been great. No issues with any of the games I’ve tried it on. I’ve played with it for nearly 30 hours on the first set of batteries and they are still working great. My hands are pretty big and the controller feels a bit small sometimes, but that would probably be the same with any controller I use. For the money I would highly recommend it.

This is not my first EasySMX controller. Last one lasted over a year. I put a lot of mileage on it specially forward on left stick when playing game. So its the heavy handed use that doesn’t let it last longer. As a handicapped person, video games are my favorite choice of drug. Keeps my mind off the pain.

I did some research about wireless controllers and I decided to go with this. I am actually very happy with it, the response is great, battery life is pretty good although I do recommend buying some rechargable batteries as oppose to disposable ones.I had a regular wired controller but my kitten would just not stop playing with the wire and messing me up while gaming. I am bad enough by myself, I did not appreciate her help for that. I can now play comfortably.Pet parenting 1.0.1

I’ve been using this for over a month now with my Raspberry Pi. Having bought really bad Chinese-imported game pads off of Amazon before, I was very, very pleasantly surprised with these.* The build quality feels superb. Even the box it came in was pretty awesome.* It was literal plug-and-play on my RetroPie (Raspberry Pi). I haven’t tested it on x86/x64 Windows, but assume it’s the same* Automatic power-off! It’s powered by two AA batteries, and I was worried after reading reviews that there was no off switch. It automatically turns off!! Way better than an off-switch, which would’ve been a huge pain. I’ve been using the same batteries since I got it.* They look pretty darn coolOverall this is a pretty well designed product and as an Electrical Engineer myself, I’m pretty impressed. If I ever need more wireless controllers, I’m definitely buying these again.

I bought this for my husband because he was tired of “being tethered”to the console. He loves it and he plays a lot. Then the grand kids wanted to play too and he let them but they are NOT as careful as he is, and yet the controller works just fine despite being dropped repeatedly This is a tough one!! I highly recommend it.
