Just want to start with Im not disapointed with my decision to buy this particular sim wheel. What im disapointed about is the lack of honest straight forward descriptions. So the weel itself is plastic or at least a plastic housing. Ok yeah it is just a toy. Wait a toy that if i place my hand wrong the force feed back could injure me? With plastic. So id say at least 98% of these sim racing wheels say there metal of somekind you know like a real car stearing wheel. Um the paddle shifters feel like there bending just from use. not to be cofused with overuse. The plastic break and gas pedals, (no clutch?) Actually feel really good theres no real sence of presure but there is restance so its not to bad but you cant really use one foot cause the adjustable plates on the pedals are wierdly big. Its almost like they had no idea what they where doing. The base of the wheel feels real sturdy and has a fair amount of weight to it. I guess its dual band and mabye a gear for the stearing and force feed back. It feels not at all like what i thought. In fact i kinda think i got a defective one. I mean it works as far as i can tell, but feals dry and like a out of aline gear. Kinda like half working power stearing. So this is probably the most important bit. Button maping? Yeah well no. Only if the game doses it in there options. As far as Assetto Corsa goes kinda as long as you use the buttons they allow but dont tell you. Its trial and error. So your left with 4 buttons that are double duty for the options menu and shifting up down. Why why why. This is only being used on xbox one s. Even though i hooked it up to my laptop to see the setting and was able to kinda get it to work good until i unpluged it from comp cause the save files dont go from comp to xbox. Or something like that. Blah… Problem is i cant fine tune it and i cant remap the buttons. For $299.99 you would think you would get these features since a 40$ controller can. Now you can set levals of options like ffb, cerb ffb, road ffb, (as far as asseto corsa) and none of witch really help you with a discription so you have to look it up on you tube, then it wont be for your exact wheel+game so youll round up/ down the values and hope for the best. If you have a family or roommates and you need to use headphones? You have to plug in to your controller and set it to not turn off. O wait i have yet to find this setting. so every few minuts itll shut off and lag your game. Unless you listen to music at same time you race. Oh and and probably the worst is there is secret” or hiden” settings. Now to me theses should be praised not hidden. You can download this info from thrustmaster. How to work the menu that chnges on the fly: like the degrees for the stearing. 270, 360, 6??, and 900 and the other is a sensativity setting. default, low, mostly low, and really superlow. Let me end this by saying all in all if you can get it right it plays really good and i would suggest this for a sim driver that is new to wheels but not new to sim games. Oh i almost forgot. The add ons, a choice of 2 triple pedal set ups with a forth as long as you can get the adapter plug. A shifter again same as pedals. And a handbreak except that one a mod and its going to be expensive. Not unlike the other 2 and the usb hub for conections cauae this wheel dosent have enough holes to plug these add ons in. And they actually cost more then the wheel peddle combo i paid for. So there it is in my words a proper discription.

Great mid level wheel, I’ve been missing out! I have been playing racing games for a long time over several generations of consoles and never had a wheel. I never had a problem playing Forza on the controller, so I just never thought to get a wheel and pedal set because it just didn’t seem worth it. The game that forced me to buy a wheel/pedal set was F1 by codemasters. I became fascinated with Formula 1 racing a couple years ago which led to me looking for a game to play. F1 is much more of a sim style game as opposed to Forza’s arcade style games which work fine with a controller. The wheel has made all of my racing games more fun to play including Forza Horizion 3 and Forza 7, but I play F1 2017 the most and its extremely fun with a wheel.

This is a great wheel over 15000 races on last one, Worked so good I purchased a new one. Replaced clamp bolt to same thread Allen head :drilled my racing chair mount and works perfectly 😃😉!

bought last week along with the wheel stand pro. I use exclusively on Xbox One X with Forza 7 and Horizon 3. Looking forward to Horizon 4. If you are planning to use similarly I would suggest you crank the steering radius down from 900 to 360 in the advanced menu settings in both games. Before I did so I was less than enthusiastic about the massive dead zone that rather quickly made me nearly regret buying. Dumb of me to forget that these devices do need adjustments to set them up properly. The adjustment from 900 turn radius to 360 will take about 10 seconds in the menu and then you are done. My initial disappointment instantly vanished upon making the change and I found myself 5 hours later still playing having completely lost track of the time. After a few days of making the adjustment from control pad to wheel I finally became fully acclimated and I have shaved much time off of my previous fastest laps with the gamepad(xbox elite) I play with all assists off and driver AI at the second most difficult setting. Its just a matter of relearning braking points and turn in points with the wheel and then its all fun.

Simply amazing. Find a small square flat table (mines is a collapsible tray table) mount the clamp to the wheel. Configurate it and set up the installation, map your keys in your driving or racing sim. And boom you’re good to enjoy some nice steering wheel action with a nice feel of the force feedback, it actually feels resistant to just trying to power slide or speed down a road. A very realistic yet comfortable feeling especially since the grip on the wheel feels smooth and maneuverable. Overall I recommend this as nice entry level gaming wheel especially with the price. Given most say you need to spend atleast 3 or 4 hundred dollars you can consider this a steal. You won’t regret your purchase. I’ll also include that the pedals are actually better than you may think on first glance. Yes they can be upgraded but for the price it gets the job done and is actually stable on a tile/wooden floor.

Got this set up as I am new to SIM racing. On F1 2017, Forza 6, and Project CARS2, this wheel has awesome force feedback and handles well. Had some trouble with wheel not syncing to my XBOX One S but found if you disconnect the USB and reconnect you are good to go. Now all I need is a SIM cockpit!

I have been playing race sims for a very long time. This is my first wheel. I have the xbox one and I’m working it on Forza 7, so the most recent of things works with this wheel. There are rubber pats on the bottom of the peddles so if you have an uncarpeted floor you can just make sure the pads and your floor are clean and you’re just great. The paddle shifts are great, the force feed back really makes it feel pretty awesome. Going from the hand controller to this wheel makes the small corrections to fix your race line possible. It was so frustrating to want to just make a slight correction to load your line from the right side of the road to the left or the other way around and you would have to make a jerky move that would scrub speed or you were just going to have to try to run the inside line and probably end up either braking too much or maybe you’d end up going off. This is just so much better. The feedback really is not as smooth as a car, seriously, what is though. But, I’d buy this one again over and over and over.Easy set up, easy take down, can use it to get into and out of the game and to navigate inside the game. Absolutely amazing. The only thing I would change is making the USB cable longer, because my xBox isn’t right in front of me… going to try to use an extension for the USB cable and see what happens.

Long time Forza fan and someone who really enjoys racing games. After years of listening to the Logitech vs Thrustmaster banter I went with the TMX for a few reasons. I can get pro pedals when I want to learn to clutch and I can add a shifter at a later date when I can handle taking my hands away to shift. Ive never bought or used a wheel outside arcades from back in the day like LA Rush or Cruisin USA/World. The quality of the wheel is excellent and while it looks like cheap plastic it doesnt bend or flex under duress of intense action on track as you “swat flies.” Understanding what feels good to you is key to learning how to use a wheel. if you are looking for a cheap and affordable way into sim racing or just the immersion this is the wheel to get. Your chair and stand will cost more and this wheel will last you until you upgrade. Ive easily clocked in 100 hours before this review and have played many games on PC: iRacing, PCARS2, Wreckfest before and after the major PC update, Dirt Rally, NASCAR Heat 4 and even took it to Xbox One to drive around on Forza Horizon 4. Plug and play. You are not going to buy a better wheel for under $250. First time buyer and wheel user. I hope you find the same pleasure I have in this experience because its changed gaming for me. I like change like this! The picture I used doesnt reflect the self made rig I put my wheel into. You have to mount those pedals down some how or the will move. I am not on that glass table anymore. Secure the wheel and pedals for maximum use.

I had the force feedback Microsoft Wheel for the xbox 360 and wanted something similar for the xbox one without having to pay $300-$400. This works perfectly right out of the box with the Xbox one. I only played Dirt Rally so far, but I am hooked and makes playing the games so much better. The wheel feels great and the force feedback is a lot better than my last gen. experience. I also purchased the “The Ultimate Steering Wheel Racing Game Stand” and I am also happy with this purchase as well. I am not sure what makes the other force feedback wheels so much more expensive, but this wheel is perfect for me and my family. I am not a hardcore racing sim person, but I love how this wheel feels and I can really get into the feel of racing. Dirt Rally is a great game for the xbox one and having a wheel is a must. This wheel is all I need.

So I picked this up as an upgrade from the T80 and man does it do the trick, on PC you need to download the control panel to set up and calibrate the wheel out of the box, which can be found on thrustmaster support page, tested with Project cars 2, Asseto Corsa, and F1 2019, all 3 work wonders after doing some tweaking to deadzones, sensitivity and FFB settings. As a beginner wheel that’s a little cheaper than the logitech g29/g920 I couldnt reccomend this wheel any more, everything worked out of the box, the buttons feel great, the paddles have a satisfying click to them, the pedals have good preasure for being a cheaper set, and the tightness of the steering feel great, materials as cheap as they are feel great in your hand, the rubber is really grippy and allows you to really control the wheel, as someone who spent 1000s of hours on controller I highly reccomend the switch, in project cars 2 driving the corvette c7 GTE at the daytona road course I’ve shaved seconds off my time with each lap so it goes to show that the wheel is so much better then controller 10/10 would buy again
