Improves sounds so much! Very recommended!

Includes several combinations of TRS and TRRS audio plugs to accommodate a wide array of devices including PC, MAC, as well as Android. My preliminary test using an Android Smart phone recording a video with up close proximity there was a definite improvement in audio clarity and presence. It is sensitive. It picked up the fan from across the room from the small space heater. After turning that heater off and running the test again is where I could really zone in on the improved sound between it, and the built-in mic in the device. There wasn’t any hissing, or distortion whatsoever; just a clean signal ready to go right to print. The thing I really like about this kit above the others is that the wind muff comes in two varieties. One is the smooth black foam surround which looks very sophisticated and would shine with your other black gear, and the other is a hairy muffin wind cover that looks like a wild game cover. I had another one of these that they permanently glued the inner foam core to the hairy outer cover so there was no decision as to which to use.Another nice feature is that it comes with a nice pouch with a drawstring top so you don’t have to store it in the box, or some hap-hazard travel bag. It’s just the right size to save space and yet comfortably accommodate all of the contents. The shock mount is beneficial to help eliminate vibrational noise coming through the attached recording device, but after using a professional recording studio shock mounts, this is a good thing to have but can’t complete with a completely suspended rubber wire isolated mount. Hey it is the only one I have that has any kind of shock mount at all, so it is a nice add on.Overall sound quality, portability, features, variety of connecting cords, due wind screen covers foam and fur, as well as the shock mount all add up to a nice device. It’s already in the pouch and going right into my camera bag.

I got this so I could improve my video quality for zoom and recording for church etc. I really love how it looks and love all the accessories it comes with. It makes every setup look professional! It also improved sound immensely. Highly recommend to step up your recording game!Pros- lots of accessories, 2 filters and two cable types for phones and cameras, and mount- sounds great and has an awesome extra long extension cable!

Honestly I don’t know much about microphones so this review won’t go into the specs or details of this microphone. I got this for my daughter that likes to pretend to make YouTube videos. We tested this mic making a video without it and one while using it and you can really tell the difference. The microphone makes you sound very clear and sharp. I like that it comes with two cables to use for your smartphone and camera. We do have a dslr camera and will be using it to make videos with with it as well. Overall we are happy with it and recommend it if you want to start making Vlogging.

Comes with adapters for multiple uses, good sound

The improvement of sound quality is quite good. I got this for doing voice overs in YouTube videos that I create. The internal mic on my laptop is not great and this is a vast improvement.I also got this for use in both my long-range camera and my DSLR camera as well. I use these in my videos and this has certainly improved the sound quality.Included in the package is the cattail and foam wind reduction that go on the microphone. They seem to function well. Also included is a extension cable for application of using the microphone at distance. Is it about 8-10 feet long. Additionally there is the vibration reduction mount that has the attachment for the hot shoe and a nut that tightens down on it. This seems okay but I’m worried about the integrity of the plastic as it may break.on the microphone it also has a spot where you can plug in some headphones and monitor the sound input as well. This can be helpful and ensuring that you have good sound quality.Overall I recommend this because it is a great kit for the price and the quality seems to be good as well.

The world of audio is highly technical, often confusing, and full both products that genuinely deliver higher quality and products that consist of little more than exaggerated promises and inflated prices. Consumers would be forgiven for not knowing where to begin when searching for a microphone. I’m here to tell you that this is probably a good option for most people.Let me be clear from the start. This is not going to compete with professional-quality microphones that sell for thousands of dollars, and it isn’t meant to. If you’re a working professional who needs perfect audio, odds are you already know what you need, and this little microphone probably isn’t going to get the job done (and you probably didn’t need me to tell you that). On the other hand, if you’re a hobbyist, amateur, beginner, or student, this might work well for you.Of course it’s true that this represents a marked improvement over the on-board microphone on any camera, be it a cell phone you’re using as a camera, a consumer-grade camcorder, or a pro-sumer grade DSLR or mirrorless camera. That ought to go without saying because pretty much ANY external microphone will be such an improvement. The real question is how this microphone compares to others intended for similar purposes. The most likely comparisons are a variety of shotgun microphones from Rode (which begin at about $100 and increase to several hundreds of dollars), or the increasingly-popular Takstar SGC-598 (which is in the same price range as this microphone). After doing some tests (using only the shotgun microphones plugged into my Panasonic mirrorless cameras, recording from a variety of distances under a variety of conditions and with no postprocessing or correction on the computer), I think I’ve come to a conclusion regarding the quality of this microphone. In my experience, the Rode brand microphones do have a slight edge in cleanness of sound. The biggest difference I’ve been able to find is that this microphone does produce a little more “hiss” or “self-noise” than the Rode microphones. However, the difference is subtle, and whether a minor difference justifies significantly higher prices is up to the buyer. I imagine for most people, this microphone would be more than sufficient and the extra money on the higher-end product would likely be wasteful, but some people do require that extra little edge.I also found this to be largely comparable to the Takstar SGC-598, to which the Rode microphones are often compared. In my own tests, I found this microphone to have a slight advantage when recording a bit closer to the microphone and the Takstar to have a slight advantage further away. However, the difference was small enough that I cannot guarantee that conclusion would hold under different recording conditions. One big advantage this particular product has is that it comes not only with the “spongy foam” style microphone cover but also the “furry” style wind shield, which is not only beneficial but arguably essential when filming outdoors. Most of my own filming is done indoors, but I’ve been looking into branching out into some new settings, and I’m quite happy to have that cover included rather than having to buy it separately. I also like that this microphone comes with a pretty good shock mount. Again, it’s not on par with some professional-quality products, but it far exceeds what I would have expected at its price point and should be more than sufficient for most people.

I was really impressed in this microphone as I had to use it for zoom classes because my computer microphone had stopped working. This microphone has allowed for clear quality audio!

  9. JoAnne Mohrland

I’m a musician, this helps me sound better when recording a utube or Instagram video rather than just using the speaker it comes with
