I chose this TV to use as a work monitor, and I’m glad I did. I needed maximum real-estate to fit all my applications, remote desktops, as well as use a chat app that was always in view.Some of the pros of this TV/monitor is the extremely high contrast ratios. I don’t have a professional calibration unit, but I would estimate it is at least 4000-5000 to 1. I’ve seen much worse on higher priced monitors. It’s really stunning when compared to an older monitor, you can’t believe that the picture can be so much better.Some would complain it’s a VA panel and not IPS. Yes, there is slight washout when moving side to side, but really, at 3ft away, it’s pretty much negligible; and honestly, almost imperceptible. After a solid month of use I can say I don’t even notice it anymore unless I want to.Some of the other pros are that it supports 10bit color, and HDR to a limited extent. A con is that it’s limited to 60Hz refresh rate, but I’m not a huge competitive gamer, this was fine for me. Color-wise it is superb, very vivid and crisp once you dial the settings in.—=== SOME HINTS ABOUT USING THIS WITH A PC ===—You need to set it up to use the full bandwidth of your HDMI connection. **Make sure you are using HDMI rated cables for at least 4k@60Hz.** Nothing less will work. You will need to buy one, there isn’t one included in the box!You will need to enable Game Mode, as well as Input Signal Plus. To do so, follow these steps:1) On the remote, press the Home button2) Highlight “Settings”, and then select it (don’t press up)3) On the menu that appears go to “General”4) Navigate to “External Device Manager”5) From there, Navigate to “Game Mode” and turn it on6) Then, navigate down, and select “Input Signal Plus”7) On the new screen, enable it for whatever input you plugged your PC into.There you go. Google Play and Netflix had the best picture quality wise in my estimation. I have yet to try with Disney+. Amazon Prime is no better in navigation, its a hot mess.I have yet to see an Ad that isn’t a tiny box next to the settings. I simply never agreed to any of the Privacy terms offered. Seems simple enough. Functionality wasn’t hampered, and who really wants to talk to their TV (looking at you Bixby)?I have this attached to Ethernet, so I can’t comment on Wifi performance.For what it’s worth, I picked this up when it went on sale at $$377.00 after tax. Otherwise I probably would have passed for an actual PC monitor.

I’ve had it two days and it’s so great! This is a major upgrade from my 1080p and I have to say it was well worth the wait! I bought an extended 4 year warranty and I suggest all other buyers do too. You need that in case something disastrous happens to your tv and you need it replaced. I also want to say the 4K is so real that it’s like I’m there with the people on tv and not actually just watching the tv. It’s immersive and I highly recommend it for anybody that is looking only for a 32 inch that is the best in its class. FYI: I was not paid by Samsung to give this review or given a free product. But if they want to… heads up I’m over here!

Decided to buy this TV to replace my 32″ Insignia TV I’ve had for a little over 3 years now, I am so glad I went with the Q50R from Samsung. First thing is first, my space is extremely limited in my room so 32 inches is really the sweet spot for me, as I sit about 3 feet away from my TV anyway. The build quality is very nice, with what looks like a brushed metal frame, the bezel is thin. I saw the reviews where people pulled the plastic off and removed the rubber seal on the frame, but I was careful and had no issues with that at all. Mounting the TV to a more sturdy stand and TV setup was a breeze. Now, the main reason you might be buying this TV, the resolution. Wow! 1080p looks somewhat upscaled even though my box can only output 1080p content. Games look phenomenal on my PS4 with 1080p HDR enabled, I’m sure the pro would look even better. Once thing that I really love is the ‘smooth motion’ feature Samsung implemented on it’s newer TV’s like this, the refresh rate looks like it goes up to 120Hz to keep action smooth. And that’s another thing, I know the specs mention the resolution is 4k @ 60 Hz, but I feel the refresh rate goes well beyond that. I am sure the 4k, 60Hz will stick when the PS5 launches, which is one of the reasons I bought this TV. Not too sure if this TV supports HDMI 2.1 (4k 120 Hz), but just to even get that connectivity, the TV’s that have that HDMI standard are $600+ and there’s only 2 or 3 models that offer it. Watching TV on the 32Q50 is amazing, there’s no noticeable blur on fast moving scenes in movies or sports. Whites are nice and bright, blacks are nice and dark. Colors pop and the picture overall is just so great and clean, and I am sure that’s due to the Quantum Dot, QLED technology Samsung incorporated in this TV. Even out of the box with no configuration all I did was disable auto brightness. Sound is better than my old Insignia, I don’t like blasting my volume really, but it’s crisp and has plenty of treble and bass. Now $450 is quite a lot for a 32″ TV, but if this is the perfect size for you and you have the money, you can’t go wrong. This is the best 32 inch TV on the market, the only model that supports 4k (at least for the moment). What makes it even better is I was actually able to purchase this TV from Amazon in monthly payments so I didn’t have to pay full up front. I highly recommend the 32Q50.

I’d say I’m elated, but that is not quite enough. My wife has one complaint, “It looks too real.” Sound is surprising good for a TV these days. Sound bar makes it better than ever!

This TV is awesome. I recently bought an Apple TV 4K so I wanted to upgrade my TV to 4K also. 32 inch is what fits my space and in that size it’s actually hard to find 4K TV’s unless you get a monitor. So I tried a highly rated Dell 4K monitor, the problem is Apple TV sends commands like volume control through its HDMI connection to the TV and monitors aren’t set up with that type of HDMI protocol, called HDMI-CEC; so I couldn’t even turn the volume up or down without using controls on the monitor. That brings me to this Samsung TV, which was double the price of the monitor but honestly worth every penny. The picture is amazing, the onboard speakers are really good for internal speakers, and everything just works perfectly!

Just want to try and clear up some confusion: this 32″ TV uses a VESA 100×100 mount pattern, and it requires a screw size of M4-.70 20mm with a pan or button head (that’s a metric 4mm screw, with a 0.70 thread pitch, and 20mm length). I just bought the screws, mounted my TV, and took photos to help illustrate, so I’m 100% positive these are the right screw sizes. The VESA mount kit that I purchased came with an assortment of screws, but NOT the correct size for this TV. Hope this helps!

I bought this to mount next to my PC monitors, solely for console gaming. I have been looking for a small size 4k HDR set for some time. This is perfect. My only want is for it to have 120hz…this only has 60hz which is the standard at the moment. I did a lot of research and even bought 1 other TV and a monitor. Took them both back because they did not meet expectations. Size was too big too. performance lacking. This is great for a gaming station setup (see pic). I recommend. Not so great on PC games but OK as a PC monitor. I tried a few PC games and looks terrible compared to my Acer 1440P 144hz. However, as mentioned this does not disappoint when it comes to console games. 32 inch feels perfect to me since I sit about 3-4 feet away.

I was hesitant to spend so much on such a small TV and went back and forth between this and lower models and other brands whose 32″ TV are half to a third of the price. But I really am glad I bought this one in the end. Its much thinner and makes for a much cleaner install if hanging in the wall. The bezel is also smaller. But more important than looks, the picture quality is amazing. The interface is also very nice and easy to work with and it has more inputs than the cheaper ones, making it more flexible. Sound quality is also really good, if you are just using the TV speakers in a small room like I am. Overall I couldn’t be more happier.

WOW! Picture quality is amazing! Samsung is our brand of 4k TV’s… we have several of them throughout our home. Needed a larger tv for my kitchen and this was exactly what I was looking for. I use this little TV primarily as a display for both my MacBook Pro and my Surface; indeed I spend much more time using it this way as a computer display than as a TV. It works superbly as a display. That said, I do watch some TV, both over the air broadcasts and streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Apple TV+, and CBS All Access, all of which are available on the TV. Also, I’ve tried streaming from a Roku box. All of these work extremely well. My only minor beef is that the remote is very sparse. One has to pop up the home menu on the screen to find the inputs and settings. No good instructions come with the TV which also hinders quickly learning the system. To get any good help requires using the online instructions. In spite of my minor negative comment (having gotten use to Samsung’s menu system), I would definitely get this TV again.
