I have been adding to my smart home for years and I previously used Chromecast for my TV along with a connected IR blaster to automate turning the TV on or off. This was a bit clunky so I decided to get this Android TV for the bedroom because we already use Google Hub for all voice controls in the house. This TV has worked out so well. I love the UI along with the option of remote controller on my phone and it even integrates with Home Assistant, with just a bit of work, so that I can tie it into automations. Account setup was sipper easy for all of our streaming services and I love that it can connect to the network via Ethernet. The picture and sound are really good and I was surprised at how light it was for it’s size.I do run a Plex server, but I already connected a 2TB USB drive to the TV and that plays movies very well. One odd thing that I did notice is that some shows from apps like HBO max did not wound the same as ones from Hulu. The sound was not bad, but just noticeably not the same.I mostly got this so I could watch stuff while my GF takes over the living room for her shows, but she loves this TV so much that she keeps trying to use it for herself. Now I am thinking of getting a bigger version of this TV to replace the one I have in the living room.I did keep the box just in the event that something went wrong, but it looked like most of the bad reviews were from people who received a broken TV and just never said anything until the 30 day return window was over… I mean if you are just sitting on a broken TV for 30 days without contacting support I have a hard time feeling sorry for you.

Firstly, I purchased the 43 inch version with no sound bar. The packaging it was shipped in was the TV box with a shipping label, so everyone including your neighbors will know what you purchased including porch pirates, although with a package this big, I doubt that will make it any less enticing to steal if you have this issue. The tv comes with a smart remote, two legs that can be attacked to the tv with a screw and an hdmi cable. The power cable is preattached to the TV. The legs will not screw into the TV unit easily, so unless you have a really grippy screw driver and you’re strong, I highly recommend purchasing an electric screwdriver to attach them. I purchased one from Amazon for $18 and it did the trick. The picture quality is as advertised, 1080p. Due to the size of the TV the pixels are definitely noticeable, but for the $200 I paid for it, the quality is beyond acceptable. The remote is really good, despite what other reviews may say. You absolutely will notice a lag when you press a button on the remote, as well as it being finicky registering keys if you do not pair it to the tv!!! The remote will work out of the box with the TV using the IR sensor on the TV but to pair it you have to go into the TV settings on the top right and go into remotes and accessories. Once there hold the button with 3 lines on the remote which is above the arrow buttons to the left for about 10 seconds and the remote will show up on the tv. Select the remote and it will be paired. After pairing you can point the remote in pretty much any direction and it registers instantly! The tv can be slow to respond sometimes even after the remote is paired but keep in mind the price you paid for the TV and it’s a very small inconvenience in comparison and I consider myself picky. This tv has 2 hdmi ports and it is easy to switch between them using the input button. I can switch between my Nintendo Switch and Xbox with little issue.I am unsure if it just doesn’t support it, but I was unable to connect the tv via WiFi to our 5Ghz network and had to use the 2.4Ghz network. I think it doesn’t support the 5Ghz band but I’m not sure.Overall, for the price and advertised features, I give it a 5 start review. As a TV in general, I give it 3 stars due to it being a bit slow to respond sometimes and the fact you must pair the Bluetooth out of the box.

No, there isn’t a whole bunch to this tv, alright? But wow, this is what $229 does for you? There’s so much for this price point. It’s a smart tv, with wifi, an app store for downloading quite a few apps, bluetooth capability for remote and Bluetooth speakers, I tested my JBL Xtremes, amazing sound quality, the 3D sound setting is more immersive than I expected, you can hear sounds popping out of the tv quite well. The highs aren’t perfect tho I’ve noticed, and the bass does reach very low, but it’s not very loud, yet no tv has been able to compare to any of my music products, other than a magnavox tv I once had for 7 years. The sound is outstanding for the price still, for sure, but it’s not all as flexible to be messed with as I expected. The picture quality is quite nice, but contrast is definitely strong, I turned it down all the way from default 50 to10. The max is 100. Extremely flexible settings for the picture quality. Okay now the remote, it’s not all that great, it’s extremely and I mean extremely slow at first when starting up the tv. It takes the remote time to calibrate with the tv, and you want to connect it using bluetooth, all of this will make it permanently faster, so fast that everything is quite instant, like a regular old tv remote, so long as you don’t factory reset the tv. There’s two HDMI ports. Component/AV ports. Optical port. Headphone jack. Antenna port/cable port. Tested them all, and they all seem to work great. Headphone jack is built real good and not cheap. This is a great tv for the price, I’m glad I got it. If this breaks over the years, I’ll most likely buy another one just like it, or aim at a lazer kind, I’m really liking Hisense TVs over Samsung and even LG, even tho they are definitely better made, it’s all just too pricey and not really worth it as much unfortunately, like this TV!

This is my first smart tv and I’m quite happy with my purchase! I was able to login my Google, YouTube, and Hulu accounts using my Android phone which was amazingly convenient. I’m able to cast videos from my phone and iPad. I use my ipad for my workout app, obé and just use the regular casting method. I’m still trying to figure out voice control, so I can’t speak on that. The only thing I don’t love is the sound. The speakers are in the back and make it sound muffled bouncing off the wall behind it. I definitely recommend and will likely purchase a sound bar for clearer audio. It is very loud though, and I find myself keeping it at an 1/8th of the possible volume in most apps. I use Amazon prime, YouTube, and Hulu as our tv choices. I love that the remote has prime video, YouTube and Google play store on it. I don’t use Netflix and wish I could change that button to open Hulu. Maybe I can, but I haven’t looked into it yet. It has an apps button to take me directly to the app screen which is super convenient. It has a Bluetooth pairing button, but I wish it had a voice command button too. The Bluetooth button is great for pairing my headphones, which is super useful after the kids go to sleep since I live in an apartment. I like the air console app to play games using my phone as a controller, but it doesn’t work outside the app. There seems to be a way to make it work, but all the videos are in Hindi and I’d rather just buy a gamepad. The Open Browser app allowed me to connect to the web quite easily. I like that it suggests free movie and tv apps like Pluto tv and vudu in the play store. Take note of your model number and serial number On the back of the tv before setting up so that it’s easier to register the product. I wish that had been listed on the box or instructions since I set mine up on a high shelf and had to take it back down to find the code. Overall, it’s a great purchase and I can’t wait to explore the gaming features!

I bought this to replace my bedroom tv, and dreaded having to set up another one. Well I ordered this set two days ago; it arrived today and the hardest part of the set up was putting the feet on. Turned it on and just did what the instructions told me. I’ll update if I have problems, but right now I’m happy with the quality and price.

Picture quality is great it is very easy to set up and it was very light when carrying it

This is very nice. Picture, sound, is great. The only negative are the stands…horrible. Black screws into black stand…the screws are cheap, stripped already! and they are not all the way placed. Manufacturer needs to send to quality control to fix the issue.

I got this on flash sale for just $200 – and it’s a great product at this price point. 2 HDMI ports aren’t enough for you? Boo-boo, grow up and buy an HDMI switch. I don’t care about 4K (I don’t have anything else that high-res), I just needed more screen real estate – Full HD is plenty good enough. I would’ve given it 5 stars if it was a non-“smart” TV, the android tv stuff is just a GIGANTIC bonus to me (I had a Chromecast on my old TV, and use Google Home quite a lot, so the built-in Chromecast on this TV is pretty sweet). The voice commands don’t work on the remote that came with mine, but I really don’t care. Only one of the 2 USB ports on the TV works, also not a problem for me. I can plug a keyboard into the working slot to control playback and type in search boxes, and HDMI-CEC lets me use not only the TV remote for my PS4, but my keyboard, too! It seems to only work on main menus and not in games, but I’m still impressed (If you set the HDMI-CEC to have them turn each other on, make sure you leave the TV on the home screen or a different input before you turn it off, otherwise the other device will turn on/off when you just want to use the TV, or vice-versa). I don’t use built-in speakers, but the amplifier they have built-in has some serious juice. I barely have the TV and stereo volumes up at all, and it gets MORE than loud enough. The only actual complaint I have is that, when streaming spotify, the sound quality is not good. It might only be noticeable if you’re an audiophile too, but it matters to me. Also you have to format any USB storage you try to plug in so that it only works on that TV? Never heard of that kind of crap, but my computer is hooked up right to the TV so it’s only annoying in principle. If they tried to sell me this for even twice as much, I’d be a nay-sayer. But to do all this at just $200? I’ve been bragging about this TV to anyone that will listen!

This TV has some quirks. First, I suspect the 32 inch model doesn’t have all the features in the downloadable manual. No individual picture or sound adjustments. I guess the DTS sound isn’t switchable and the sound is diffuse on voice. Got an Anker Soundflare for great sound. No external buttons on TV so need remote. Already had a Firestick so I can’t comment on the WiFi. Decent picture without adjustments. Easy setup.I must upgrade my review. While looking thru the menu, I found picture and other adjustments I was complaining about not having. They were buried in the Settings-Device Preferences sub menu. Not under the picture or sound menus you would expect. Working great with Firestick.
