I am LOVING my new TV! I had previously purchased one back around when they first came out with the curved screen and they cost roughly $1.5-$2K (and also weighed a frikin ton). This newer model is SO much better. The picture quality is amazing and they seem to have worked out most if not all of the little glitches and bugs from earlier models. It was very simple to set up and position; I used the feet as apposed to wall mounting. It paired well with my Sony Blu-Ray player and without even going through a setup, the remote controls that as well. I don’t understand the people that complain about the positioning of the apps on the lower part of the screen or the adds that play (they are called commercials and they only start for me if I am watching the Samsung TV Plus channels. Remember when commercials were a thing?); it’s a non-issue as it’s really not that difficult to hit the over button an extra time or two if one of your apps is a little further over to the right. In all, if you are like me and just want a really nice TV that doesn’t cost more than a month’s rent (or two months…), then I would HIGHLY recommend this one!

I use this to telecommute to my computer at work. When I’m at work I have a 50″ Samsung Curved monitor at a Display Resolution of 3840 x 2160 with the Scale set to 100%. This provides me a screen size of about four 24″ monitors made into a square. Lot’s of “Real Estate” to spread out my work. The 55″ Samsung Curved monitor at home needs to be about 5 inches further away than the one at work so I have it wall mounted in front of my desk. At this distance it provides the same view/ look proportionally that the one at work does. I didn’t think the curved was that important so I bought a 50″ non-curved monitor. It looked bulged out in the middle so I had to send it back. The curved monitor at the distance I’m sitting from it makes a big difference. The screen looks flat and square like it should, no bulged out middle. With the setup as it is, there is no difference with me sitting at home or work (which is about half the time at each right now). You can use this tv as a monitor and it would make a great tv as well. It has smart options to get Amazon Fire TV and Netflix right from the remote with a single push of a button. I like the wiFi connectivity as well as the built in ethernet connection (as I have both). I don’t really use this tv as a tv since I have a 65″ OLED tv close by in my family room. One thing I have noticed with the OLED, It’s so vivid and clear that you can see the actor’s makeup. Kind of ruins the show sometimes.

So first thing is I went from a Hisense 4k to this Samsung 55 inch curved 4k tv. the shipping was super fast. So this tv is amazing. The picture quality is awesome. The sound for this tv is very nice. I couldn’t believe how easy the setup was, I have a Samsung smart phone and it set my TV for me. I am glad I made the switch.

This display is a fantastic quality picture. When connected to a computer, it works fantastically as a monitor. It looks amazing in 4K gaming at 60hz, though you probably wouldn’t take this to a pro gaming tournament.Coupled with some window management/snapping software, you can resize your windows any way you like.Upsides:* The real estate of four 28″ screens but without the bezels* Less than the cost of one 28″ display* 4K 60 hz gaming and video looks great even up close* Comfortable from a 30″ viewing distance* No annoying corner/edge dimmingDownsides:* Could be slightly more curved for desktop use* If you want the monitor to automatically power up when your PC turns on, you’ll need a USB HDMI-CEC adapter* Haters are going to give you jealous side-eye and tell you a TV is not a monitor* You’ll have to find someplace else to spend all the money you saved not buying multiple monitors and a mounting system

Second time’s a charm for me . First one showed up a day before expected delivery , DOA with a broken screen . Amazon’s return process was the least painful I’ve ever experienced ! UPS picked up the busted one the next day , (yesterday) and the replacement arrived today ! The display is crisp , clear , and captivating ! The sound from this is better than my RCA ’55 with a sound bar , using just the TV’s speakers . I am using this as a computer monitor and just love it ! … And Amazon !

The picture is so good its distracting from the show. The depth of the colors and the quality are awesome. If you are on the fence about getting this TV,…just buy it.

We’ve been watching the TV since June 1st. Set up was a breeze; just make sure all your components are connected and powered up.The Samsung UN55RU7300FXZA Curved 55-Inch 4K UHD worked great with the USX MOUNT Universal Swivel TV Stand for 26-55 Inch LCD LED Flat Screen TVs.This TV replaced an ancient Panasonic Plasma 42 inch. Oddly enough, the Samsung works better with the Panasonic Home Theater sound system w/Blu-Ray player. The off button on the Samsung TV remote turns off the TV and sound system. The Panasonic did not do that. We’ve got a TiVo for “smart” features like streaming, so we skipped agreeing to the “app” smart feature agreements for the TV. The picture is great (we reset to “natural” display), the TV gets along well with our other components, and the remote is fairly well designed. One note about the HDMI copy protection protocol. I like to rip my TV show DVDs to a USB drive and watch them that way instead of fumbling with DVDs. I made the mistake of plugging the USB drive into my HD Blu-Ray player (LG UBK80 4K Ultra-HD). One night I played a couple of episodes. The next day, the Blu-Ray player did not display video on the TV. After much troubleshooting, I determined that the copy protection protocol of HDMI had locked the HDMI port on the TV. The Blu-Ray player was just fine. After resetting the TV back to factory settings and running set up again, everything worked fine. Lesson learned: plug any ripped videos into the TV USB port to avoid HDMI copy protection locking out a component.Overall, we are extremely happy with the television.

I am very happy with this purchase; after a lot of shopping I knew I wanted the curved Samsung and glad that I made this purchase. I had a horrible experience with a 55″ RCA that failed in less than 10-mos and dealing with mfg for service I knew I did not want a RCA, Sylvania etc…Curtis International products. The picture quality is theatre quality, there is no problem with the sound – great. Now, I feel like I have a reliable product. Would recommend to others….

I would give this one star for the fact that the first TV received had damage at the top part of the screen. For some reason I expected it. However, as always…Amazon pulled through and corrected the problem. I recieved my replacement TV in 2 days. I can’t even be mad.Now to the tv….I LOVE IT! For the price it’s well worth it. The setup is simple, the picture quality is nice and crisp and the speakers on this thing is shockingly pleasing! I am so impressed with the sound on this tv.It has different sound settings to adjust to your liking. The curve style is nice and stylish. At the moment, sometimes I forget it curves at all lol. But I am loving it. Money well spent, I hope this TV lasts me a good amount of years.
