This replaces a 12-13 year old Samsung DLP tv which I really liked. But a recent fan issue (again) which really was frustrating lead me to believe was time to replace. To say there are many choices is an understatement but I settled on the Sony. I can say I am not disappointed. The leap from my old 72 inch to the 75 inch isn’t a great size jump but the picture quality is so far above what I was used to and I’ve not even utilized 4K. Hopefully this set will last as long as my old Samsung but I’m very very happy. Despite a delivery issue I had to resolve myself I’m very pleased. I won’t use the smart apps much as I already have them on my DVD player but they seem to work well. Color saturation is beautiful and on my 75 inch the black colors are very deep and accurate. I’m sure there are sets that might be better but for the price I’m very excited. It’s like discovering my movies all over again

As with many other reviewers, the first television that was shipped to me arrived with a broken screen. Amazon replaced it of course and I had a new one 4 days later. Upgrading from an old 42 inch plasma was long overdue, and I think I made a good choice. I am NOT an Android person, so that feature isn’t something I can comment on. This was clearly designed more to be mounted on a wall, but that’s not an option for me. So…Things I really HATE about this (and you probably will too):- The base stands really suck. Aside from feeling cheap (half plastic, half metal…WTF?!?), the television tilts slightly backwards. It’s really odd and no sure why Sony did this. I’m replacing with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N4KI7RJ- The remote is a brick from 1992 and you have to really mash the buttons down to get them to function.- Power cord is pretty short. Again, if you mount it on a wall, this won’t be an issue.- Shipping was slow and receiving the broken one was a bit frustrating. Amazon was cool about it though and even sped up the shipping on the replacement. (Bit of advice…CALL customer service, don’t chat)Things I really LIKE about this:- Setup was pretty easy and not overwhelming (unpack it carefully – the metal base stands come in two parts each and are not packaged together in the box)- Picture quality is amazing. I use the new 4K Firestick with it and everything is clear and crisp.- My two cats never paid any attention to the old plasma television, but this one…they were fixated when NatGeo Wild was on…it was hilarious, but also says something about the quality and size.Overall, I am pleased with this item and would recommend it. Yeah, there are better options out there, but this one is a good value for the price from a well-known brand.-

Received the TV quickly by UPS and it was very well packed. Arrived in excellent condition. Only in operation for 3 days, but I would say this TV has outstanding quality for the price. I am extremely happy. No problems of any kind including viewing at an angle.I would have preferred a hard-copy detailed users manual, but have to settle for one online.Be careful with reviews that clearly are not for this TV which just came out a few months ago.

Have gone through many TV’s and manufacturers over the years and Sony has always been the best. Especially the Bravia line. This TV is on point with my experience with the company. When you stroll down Walmart “4K” TV isles and really look at the screens you’ll see text with blurred edges, washed out colors and small motion blur. Not here. It really is superior image quality with crisp lines, no motion blur and sharp colors with true blacks. Though a couple hundred more than WM tv’s its still by far the best can you get for the money.

This is a great 43″ smart TV, which I use in my upstairs bedroom. Contrary to some reviewers on this site, when I first plugged it in and set my network credentials, it updated (after prompting) to Android 8.0 (Oreo) online over my home network (NOT via a USB device). Since my phone, tablet, and main 55″ Sony downstairs TV are all Android devices, this is just perfect for me. I should note that this 43″ TV was manufactured in June 2019; I don’t know if the recent date it was manufactured has anything to do with the ease of updating the system software to Android 8.0. Anyway, I’m very pleased with this TV — although it is a bit pricey!

I normally am reluctant to buy a TV online but seeing a Sony TV at this price I thought I would give it try. ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED! What stands out the most is the perfect colors. I watch everything from movies, news and sports so seeing people look like “real” people and not weird skin colors was a plus. I just finished watching a basketball game and I’m definitely convinced I made the right decision.

I’ve always been a fan of Sony TV’s and this one absolutely did not disappoint. I do a lot of streaming through Netflix and Amazon so having a good TV processor is very important; which is why I like Sony. The overall picture quality out of the box was stunning. After setting up the TV, I re-watched a few recorded basketball games and a few avengers movies and was super impressed with the stunning picture, colors, and especially the motion. A few weeks ago I ventured off and got a Samsung Q60 which wasn’t quit what I expected so I’m returning it. Someone recommended that I upgrade from the Samsung to this Sony x800 and I’m glad they did. It’s Sony Quality at it’s best and I highly recommend this model!

Quality 65 inch 4k UHD. Great clarity, color, easy to operate. Works well with Sony sound bar. Get it. I used Amazon 5 payment plan. Perfect. Didn’t break the bank

**** Update , This TV was not released until 9/2019. A ton of these reviews are not for the correct TV , look at the date of the review . Amazon needs to do a better job making sure reviews get up in the right product I have always been a fan on Sony products and especially there TVs , I have owned Samsung , Vizio, LG all newer smart TVs , I purchased a new home and was in the market for a 65 inch , after doing a lot of research. I choose to take a chance on an inexpensive TV , after paying double for both Samsung and LG models. Less then 3 years old This TV is amazing. The few concerns I read regarding Black levels , and old Android operating systems. I have had no issues. Black levels in dark room are great , TV updated the second it had an internet connection. The Picture is top notch , the picture is fast , does not blur with motion. In my opinion this TV out performs its competition by far , especially for price point. If your in the market buy this TV. You will not be disappointed

My dog was playing with a heavy rope toy and it grabbed another toy which was whipped into the screen of my TV. Screen broken, TV destroyed, bad doggie. So I replaced it with one of these X800Gs. When I hung it I noticed that the screen was pulling away from the frame at the top, leaving a small narrow space with bright light coming through. Whatever caused that damage also put an anomaly in the picture so when the picture was very white, you could see dark images in the picture. So I called Sony thinking that they would apologize and send a replacement, or at least send someone from a service center near me to investigate. Instead they told me they would do nothing and that I most likely did it when I hung it (I’m in AV – I know how to hang a TV…) I asked to speak to a supervisor and the guy said there was nobody who would give me a different response. When I asked if they were ready to lose a customer for life for under a grand, he said sorry nothing I can do… So I hung up, got on Amazon’s site, looked up the order, and of course they made the replacement as easy as pie. Makes me want to buy everything through Amazon, and I guess that’s the point. Anyway, as bad as Sony’s customer service is, their TVs are pretty good and this one is no exception. Great picture, nice user interface.
