This is probably the cheapest 5G phone available in the market right now. I use it for every use imaginable for me: surfing, research, hotspot, photo and videography, remote control, paperweight. I am an addiction counselor and I use this when I need internet connection to my Powerpoint presentations and PDF files on cloud. Of course I use my Chromebook to open the files but my Redmi Note 9T provide the tether with more than adequate bandwidth to make the connection stable for the duration of the sessions, usually about 2-3 hours. Afterwards I typically still have juice on my phone to last for another day without recharging. The display to my eyes is about the same sharpness as my Redmi Note 6Pro and the image capture comes out average and uninspiring. But when the photos and videos I captured on this Redmi Note 9T are moved and viewed to my desktop with FHD the details come out amazing. This makes sense to me because I do photo editing on my desktop, not the phone. Think of the phone as the cabinet that has enough capacity to capture, compress and store the information that my desktop will bring out to its full vibrance and life. The sound is above average. Thanks to its stereo-speakers. Unlike my Redmi Note 6Pro, the 9T brings out depth in audio that is close to bass-enriched 3d sound. Connect it wirelessly or 3.5mm jack to a full-sized speaker – voila!!! I’m not a gaming person but I was able to work smoothly on some of the FPS games I had in the past including COD-Mobile, Robot Warfare, NOVA, etc.Personally, I can say that Redmi Note 9T is an undervalued cellphone that packs with capabilities and features. It is not top of the line, but it functions like one. I end up buying one for my wife, and now for my two grown-up kids.I highly recommend Redmi Note 9T!!!

Location: USA Carrier: T-Mobile 5G: Works on T-MobileWhether or not 5G works on this device for T-Mobile is likely to depend on exactly where you live. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T (International Version) has only one 5G band, n41 (2500), among the bands that T-Mobile runs its 5G service on and this so happens to be the band that T-Mobile acquired with its merger with Sprint, and where there was lots of “unused space.” They are rolling out the use of that band as their “super” 5G, and if your area has it then 5G will work. If they haven’t, yet, then it won’t.So far I love everything about this phone, and the OTA support for updates. My household was previously using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Plus and Redmi Note 6 Pro, and both were supported with OTA MIUI updates for at least 2 years after we got them, and they were not as recently introduced as the Note 9T is when I purchased them. Even though the 9T ships with Android 10 underpinning MIUI 12, within two days I first got an update to MIUI 12 that still used Android 10, followed one day later with a huge update that pushed to a version of MIUI 12 running over Android 11, with the May 2021 security patch. I fully expect that I’ll continue to see updates for several years, and this level of OS support is superior even to the Samsung device (I had a Galaxy S7 – purchased through T-Mobile) I once used. The consistency of Xiaomi in supporting Android updates and/or security patch updates to the Android version underlying MIUI is impressive, and important if you are concerned about ongoing security. One thing that disappoints me about Xiaomi (and it’s not limited to them) is that they do not provide a true Owner’s Manual with the devices, nor do they produce one that you can download online. Most of setting up Android, for someone who’s done it, is relatively easy, but things do change. They do not even document the really excellent Mi Mover app they produce that allows you to migrate the content of the current Xiaomi device you may be using to your new one without any involvement of the cloud at all. It does a transfer using WiFi on the devices themselves, so you don’t even need a separate WiFi network to use it.Another thing that disappointed me, but that’s easy to fix once you know how, is that the VoLTE and VoWiFi capabilities of the Note 9T are *disabled* by default on the international version, but it has both of these capabilities. Here’s how you activate those if you’re using a carrier that supports VoLTE or if you want to use VoWiFi (which, by the way, will work on any Xiaomi device running MIUI 10 or later):In the MAIN PHONE app’s dialer, enter:VoLTE: *#*#86583#*#*VoWiFi: *#*#869434#*#*As soon as you enter the last star in those activation sequences, you will get a quick message that the feature had been disabled (which means it’s now enabled – and in the case of VoLTE, will actually be turned on by default, too. You have to manually turn on VoWiFi if you intend to use it in your SIM card settings.)The fingerprint reader, which is now a part of the power button, was something I was very skeptical about. I’ve had plenty of issues with conventional “full circle” fingerprint reader pads and thought this was likely to be worse, much worse. I could not have been more wrong. The process for setting up your fingerprint is a bit more tedious, with more presses needed for it to get a “complete picture,” but once it has it the device’s ability to recognize the fingerprint from just the small portion that touches the area of the power button is amazing.Facial recognition was simple to set up and worked flawlessly. The device was fast (for what I use it for, which includes as my primary internet access at home via the hotspot feature) straight out of the box. Once the last MIUI 12 update was applied, which introduced Android 11 as its underpinning, it got faster in regard to the UI responsiveness.I’ve been using the Redmi Note 9T for less than a week so far, but unless some major unforeseen issue were to occur, I couldn’t be more happy with it. I really can’t see spending well over a thousand dollars on devices whose processing power I would never come close to exploiting. This is a budget phone that behaves like a flagship for the things I routinely use, and that’s all that matters.

Good phone. The seller is not managing the tracking process (bad experience with the seller). But I’m happy that the phone is working great

This phone is far superior to any Samsung or Motorola phone that I have ever owned. This is my Xiaomi that I have owned in many years and I am pleasantly surprised on the finger print reader and many other far superior comparable selling points of this phone.

Highly recommend it – make sure your phone provider is a good match (mine is AT&T and it works great). I usually charge it every other day or every two days (and it charges really quickly). A lot of space too. Fast and convenient. Great price for excellent product. I bought a glass cover for it and it’s perfect now.
