I’ve been searching for a lap desk to use on the couch for some time, but after trying one of the standard giant models a few years ago and hating the bulk, I figured I was SOL. I was super excited to find this – all I really want is somewhere for my mouse! So this is perfect for me! It’s thin and lightweight, but sturdy and stable. It doesn’t add bulk and stays in place securely. The lip on the mouse tray has so far been effective in preventing my mouse from falling off as I move around. It is slightly too small for both my laptops – both 15.6″, HP envy x360 and Alienware m15 r2. I was worried this would be an issue but it’s not at all for me.

I really liked this product a lot — so much that I am willing to take time out to write a review. :)Here’s the run down:Overall:* I don’t know why some of the other review says that this product is only good with 11 or 13″ laptop. My 15″ laptop fits on it perfectly, like edge to edge* I was a little uneasy to rest my wrist on the mouse slap portion of it, but it’s sturdiness quickly convinced me otherwise.* The mouse area is very generous and works like a champBest / most impressive feature (devil is in the details):* the “bottom” edge of the mouse slap has a minor ridge on it. Not a distraction at all when you rest your wrist on it, but works wonder to stop the mouse from flying right off when your lap desk is tiltedOther mentions:* the mouse slap can come out from either side, making it handy for both right-handed or left-handed individualsWhat I still have yet to figure out:* Why was it necessary for the slap to come up from both side when you can just flip the entire thing around?* I love the ridge (mentioned about) but it was only one one of the edges. It does not happen very often, but if you tile the desk the other direction (i.e. forward) you will risk the mouse slipping offConclusion:It is hands down an amazing product if you enjoy working with you mouse AND from the couch or bed!

I recently bought this laptop pad to allow me to watch movies on my laptop while lounging in bed or on the sofa without cooking either myself or the laptop. It fit the bill perfectly. The pad is strong, light weight and portable with “grippy” rubber surfaces both top and bottom. Today, however, I discovered how handy it is as a lap desk! Perfect fit for either our HP 2540P (12″ diagonal screen), or Dell Inspiron 14″. While the mouse pad area may seem small at first it handles a standard sized wireless mouse with room to spare. The left or right-handed sliding mouse pad option is a bonus. No mouse? No problem. It makes a convenient tray for your CD or DVD case avoiding loss in the folds of the sofa or getting crunched when either of our too large dogs (we have three) decide they want to cuddle up on the bed and watch too! NOT good as a beverage holder, however! Even my old Toshiba Satellite 17″ laptop fits well enough (hangs about an inch off either side) to allow the feet to grip the pad and provide proper ventilation. Heat?? Yep, a coupla hours with the old Toshiba soaks through the pad. Solution?? A stadium seat cushion works best, but a thick folded towel or even a pillow takes care of that problem. Gonna buy another one of these to avoid potential household fights over who gets to use this one!! Highly recommend this “pad” for its versatility, compactness (fits right in your laptop bag) and sturdy construction. A bargain at $19 US!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I love it. I did a video to show you guys everything, and showed you how great the grip is when I was moving it around. It doesn’t slide from side to side. Although you may wanna get a mouse pad for slide out mouse pad area.

Update Dec. 11: Still loving my trays. Given some of the issues others have raised, I just wanted to comment that my 13″ MacBook Pro fits fine on this tray. I tend to use my trays flat, but if you significantly tilt the tray the laptop will slide and there’s no lip to keep it on the tray. But the rubber does hold the laptop in place at a shallower angle. Same goes for the mouse–just be sure you have the tray with the logo right-side up, as the mouse tray has a lip only on one side.————I bought this to use on top of my padded lap desk that doesn’t have a mouse tray, for when I feel like working in the living room. This works great–exactly what I needed! I like to switch my mouse between left and right sides periodically, so the sliding mouse tray is perfect. I like that I don’t have to remove it to switch sides, just slide it through. And the textured rubbery surface holds my 13″ MacBook Pro in place as I work.I like it so much, I bought a second one to use at my desk. I have a dual monitor stand with a keyboard tray that has an attached mouse tray. But the keyboard tray doesn’t move. I have neck problems and can’t twist my neck to the side for very long without pain. When I want to face a specific monitor, I have to move my keyboard, but then it’s hard to use my mouse because the tray doesn’t move. So I’m going to put this on the keyboard tray so I can angle the keyboard to face the monitor and still have a mouse pad.

Both myself and my husband LOVE so much this portable, lightweight yet sturdy lap desk! My Macbook 15″ and his Zenbook 13.3″ fit perfectly on the durable anti-slip lap tray surface (about 14″ x 10″). By using the lapdesk ours laptops are so secure in place whenever browsing internet or writing documents. The mouse pad area is pretty big, around 7.5″ x 6.5″ in size with small lip around the edge to stop mouse from falling off, good for either left hand or right hand use. After several days use indoors and outdoors, this is absolutely the best gadget/acessorary I bought in 2017!From my experience, this is a very well designed ergonomic device every laptop user should use, because of many unique features:- Not too light, not too heavy, not too big, not too small, around 2 lb weight and 0.6″ thickness offer great balance between stability and portability. Use it on bed, sofa, couch, chair, recliener, in car or just sit on floor/ground, with rubber strips on bottom, you can quickly get a solid, steady notebook computer working desk platform. With extra wired or wireless mouse, I feel immediately doubled my working effiency;- Support widely from my small old MBA 11″ to 13″ ASUS Windows laptop and to my macbook pro 15 inch, however you can still easily put it into carry bag, carry it with your trip to school or library;- It can efficiently block the heat flow coming from laptop to lap, I don’t know how it works (probably through the circle indentations) but it keeps the notebook’s hot air off my legs. very comfortable to use my macbook for hours on bed or on sofa while watching TV;The lapdesk comes with well protected package, great job done by abovetek. will buy one again as gift for my sister, but wish they can have other vive color theme coming out.

This is perfect for me. I have a 13″ Macbook Air and the other laptop desks I’ve seen are too big. I use this sitting in chairs or on the sofa. The computer doesn’t slide at all. This lap desk is a very elegant design. The left or right mouse tray is in one piece and you just push it in the direction you want. If you’re not using it, it’s completely hidden under the tray. I don’t use a mouse but the side tray is fine for a small notepad and pen, too.

Wish it was just a quarter inch smaller in length so it would fit better in my laptop bags, but I love it. Its smaller then my old one, but still just a hair too long. I have an 11″ laptop and travel quite a bit. I really like a separate mouse, these types of boards are a must. Not only does it keep things steady on any surface, it extends airplane table just enough to be more useful… and I don’t mind laying this down on surfaces that might be bit too dirty or damp (I teach sailing) for my laptop and mouse. Using it right now! Feels a little more hollow since the tray slides both ways… wish it didn’t. No need to slide both ways, just turn it around if need be. But it does. I got about 5 years of use out of my logictech one, but this one seems even better built, so have hopes it will last just as long. The logitech feels stronger because it isn’t hollow, but I think this one is really made better. There really are not many options out there — just this style and the logitech. I think the more expensive logitech version would be better for larger laptops.

I love this thing! The silicone is a bit tacky to prevent the laptop from slipping when tilted or bumped. The pop out mouse pad is an awesome feature, retracting for storage and transport. It’s sturdy and we’ll put together. The lap desk has a bit of weight to it so it doesnt feel like some light weight piece of crap, you have something that was put together with some thought. My laptop is a bit bigger than the lap desk, but no issues. I would 100% recommend this product.

This smaller sized computer laptop table is a very versatile item. I have actually been buying this item for years. They are almost indestructible and don’t have any extra pillows or add ons that many larger portable tables have; plus this is one of the smaller of this sort of item. I have several different styles of portable lap tables for holding my iPad and laptop and also: drawing pads, food dishes and for any job that needs a hard surface. My laptop is on top of a rolling bedside style (very heavy and not portable): so I have found that this size and style of portable table or holder is more my choice for it’s super useful nature. Also many of my larger seated computer tables have the padding underneath and even a small bendable light and sometimes even a cooling fan. There are many different versions of this type of product. So for my daughters who use their laptops while sitting up in bed… this would probably not be their choice. But for maximum functionality and minimal quality design… this is a proven winner.
