I bought this for my completely over-engineered “web cam” setup, which consists of a Sony a6100 and an Angler CI-LR21 Circo 19″ High-Power LED Ring Light. I had this on a tripod before but wanted it to sit behind my monitor, so I got this to see if it would work. So far, so good. The setup probably weighs about as much as DSLR with a battery pack, if not more, and has kept its position so far. Super simple, super sturdy. Would highly recommend!

I’ve been through quite a few of these over the past year. I must say, I should have purchased this one first. Unparalleled strength and the craftsmanship and design are out of this world. The entire contraption (even the joints are made of metal). The clamp is designed to fit a tables edged or a pipe or tree branch… It’s not budging for anything but you. I really am glad about this purchase. I wish it had a $35 coupon when I bought mine… You’re so lucky! Enjoy your purchase

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have enjoyed using this item and it works out great for my set up. I actually have several of them and use one as holder for my web cam which is a DSLR camera and it fits just above the monitor. Otherwise it is great for taking close up pictures on a desk as it holds the camera in place and pivots in just about any direction.

I have a fair number of cheap metal clamps and arms, this is not one of them, this thing is built like professional gear. Once the arms are in position, and locked/clamped, they STAY. I suppose a “downside” is that it doesn’t have the wiggle/nudging/bounce of other arms, so if you’re using this for a microphone, you’ll want a shock mount, and if you’re on an unsteady surface (like a cheap standing desk), all the movement will transfer… because it’s just that rigid.

So far, I’ve used this as a camera stand, with a light box, to make copies of 120, 620 and disk film. It holds my Pentax camera and macro lens steady for repeated high quality images. This is the only way that I’ve been able to get quality digital images from disk film, (in house).

I had been using a traditional Logitech webcam for professional meetings, etc. Even though that camera touts 4K image quality, the lenses on webcams just end up turning out a rough image.I wanted to leverage my digital camera to get a better quality image. I needed a mount that could attach to my desk and mount my camera of the top of my monitor. I have a large monitor (38″ ultra wide LG), so I need something that could be positioned over that. This mount does it very well. The mount is very configurable, so it can position your camera in lots and lots of different positions. The tightening of joints is great. No slippage, even with a large payload extended out far. Everything is high quality and is very durable.

I never leave reviews but this mount is very well built. It’s much lighter than I expected but has zero issues holding up my Canon 80D with a chunky Sigma zoom lens. The desk clamp is well designed. It requires a minimal space behind the desk for installation – 1/4″ at most. I was able to slide it into position from one end of the desk then tighten it down without having to pull the desk away from the wall. Fully extended, it places the bottom of the camera at around 24″ off the desk which is perfect. You can see in my photo that it just peeks over the top of my monitor. Once everything is tight, nothing moves. As long as your desk is sturdy, you shouldn’t have any wobbling issues. Ball head is super handy as well. Tightening levers/knobs are easy to use and even allow you to reposition them if you run out of space to tighten – just pull out on them. I was hesitant to buy because of the high price tag but I’m glad I did. Highly recommended!

We are fiber artists who travel to events teaching hand sewing, crochet, and knitting techniques. We used to travel with our full-size tripod and extension but this set up works even better. The clamp does not work loose throughout the day and the joints stay in place without our video equipment making it sag. We hook up an iPad or iPhone in an iOgrapher case to the arm and are able to get into tighter spots and don’t have the bulk of traveling with a tripod.

I’ve purchased four different brand table clamps including the name brand Manfrotto and this item as thought of it all and delivered exceptionally in every respect. I was getting frustrated thinking a table top mount didn’t exist that was quality. The Manfrotto broke, others did knobs sput and spun but did not tight. This is a solid piece of gear. I as soon as I saw the packaging I knew it was better than what I had been buying. It comes nicely boxed up, but that whatever about the boxing – the actual item is exactly what you’ve been looking for. If you need an adjustable arm, do not buy another brand just buy this one. Bonus points for the adjustable 1/4 dial plate that allows me to fine tune where the unit tights onto the speakers I have mounted. Every other unit I had to crank down on and risk breaking my speaker or leave it too loose. The turnkeys to tighten the knobs are a good size and easy to turn. Arkscan – please make more of these in different sizes! I’d like one slightly smaller (about 10-12″ span) and one slightly larger (30″ span). Thank you.

Did you ever buy something that turned out to be the thing you never thought you would have ever needed all that much, but somehow becomes that essential tool in your arsenal that you end up using all the time? This is one of those things!!!I’ve used this arm already a dozen times in the month I’ve had it, so much so that it’s quickly earned a place in my “go bag” of video gear that I keep in my trunk. It’s built like a tank, locks into position very quickly and solidly, and can be repositioned in seconds.I’m definitely planning on buying a second one very soon!
