This is my initial review of the product, as I just got it yesterday. It’s simple and easy to use. I love that in a product. No having to read the instruction manual if you’ve used BT devices before. It even had a good 80% charge on it when I got it so I was immediately able to use it.This thing is loud and has very clear audio. I’m surprised at how much volume this thing puts out without distorting. Especially for it’s size. It’s like a football that’s slightly larger. I actually thought I had it on full blast, but the speaker was on like 75% and my phone’s volume was 100%. So there was more room for volume. I tried various audio sources and the only time the audio wasn’t good…was when the source wasn’t good. So it’s not the speaker.I’m not a fan of the “outdoor” EQ mode. It literally just strips the bass and makes the highs and mids clearer. People complaining that this thing needs an EQ…just download one for your phone, computer, or device. I would like to see an app that allows control of this for the speaker, but for the price and what this thing can do…I’m not complaining. The Bluetooth 5 works well even at a distance. I tested it, and it’s more than anyone should ever need distance wise. It also didn’t cut out during the few hours of testing. The weight is nice. It’s not heavy, but doesn’t feel at all cheap. It even has a “seatbelt” material for the carry strap which is niceThis is my first BT speaker, but I’m super impressed. Maybe an audiophile can pick it apart…but I haven’t found anything that upsets me or makes me feel like I didn’t get my money worth.

I sold my JBL Xtreme and kept the W-King X10. I will tell you that this company makes an amazing speaker! The bass is nice & powerful but balanced very well with the mids & highs.I was looking for something LOUD and POWERFUL sounding that I could use outdoors at gatherings and would have more than enough sound for any occasion but also a speaker that sounded good at lower volumes too for indoors that doesn’t sound tiny. THIS is the speaker to get!The battery life is very good and charge’s respectively fast for being such a large battery. The light up buttons & ports are a very nice feature and helpful at night. If you plan on connecting this speaker to your TV you will not be disappointed, it’s almost like being at the theaters! The W-King X10 really delivers, it get very loud, much louder than any JBL Xtreme currently available, and the bass doesn’t start to disappear as the volume goes up, the bass is still fully there even at max volume! unlike most other Bluetooth speakers. Btw I don’t hear any distortion at max volume either.*This speaker really comes alive if you use an equalizer on your phone, I use WAVELET for Android and it wakes the speaker right up!W-king gained me a new customer! I’m so impressed with there product and customer service!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Design:I got my speaker today May 1, 2021. First impression was nice design different than others wking speakers with led lights on top and ports and comes with detachable strap.Sound:This wking X10 comes with 2 sound modes indoor (bass heavy) and Outdoor (poor Bass and not even Louder than the indoor Just a bit more emphasis on the highs). Why would you have outdoor mode when all it does takes away bass making it sound thin (my personal opinion). I own 2 Wking D8’s which I took one D8 and tested side by side with X10. First test was indoor Mode the X10 was about 15 to 20 percent louder and kept upperbass and low bass at Max vol. better than D8, X10 Volume with mínimal distorsión but vocal were behind on X10 maybe for emphasis on bass.Outdoor Mode:The X10 in outdoor Mode was awful all it does is disable that good bass and no volume improvement Just a bit better on the highs. So whats is the point of having two sound modes? The D8 in outdoor Mode was as loud as the X10 but more distorted on D8 but with that good bass and emphesis in highs.. which for me the X10 is great dissapointment. So Wking, why not have the same outdoor Mode like the Wking D8 keeping the bass? I hope a software update will be available soon.. for People that like bass on outdoor Mode on the X10.Also… I díd some test with songs with low frecuency bass. The X10 is handles it very good compare to the D8.Did another test with eq and tested the low frecuency on the X10 and its was very good but you probably wont notice it too much without eq because the upper bass is also there.Wking you need an app with EQ for your speakers. Here is an update 5/9/21 …. after having contacted WKING requesting an improvement in the bass of the outdoor mode which they gave me in a matter of days (firmware update), I was able to install it and test the outdoor mode and yes …. there was an improvement of the bass. The sound is focused on the highs but now with more pronounced bass.Well now I will give you 5 stars for your good customer service, willing to listen and please your customers … and one more thing … thanks WKing for not taking away ports like 3.5mm aux and making this speaker versatile.👍

Better then jbl extreme 3 this w King has 3 passive radiators I thought it only had two on the side but it has 3 sounds amazing good bass w King did it again coming out with an amazing speaker must have

This speaker is awesome, LOUD, CLEAR, and plenty of bass on EQ1 setting which is perfect.the outdoor EQ setting reduces the bass and boosts treble slightly so you can play it louder outside where bass is lost…..but in reality this is ridiculously loud already so I feel no need to push to its absolute limit at the expense of the bass. On a positive, They will send a firmware update on request to boost bass in both modes…..but out of the box I am quite happy with it on EQ1 and can adjust the sound via spotify or phone EQ if there is a need.Regarding sound quality….I lean in this direction over looks/volume. Its got to sound good on all types of music. I use it mainly for rock, but also listen to jazz, blues, and a little pop…. am extremely impressed by the sound quality, right up there with JBL and the larger partyboxes. Was expecting this to be a bass heavy box with poor mids, but the mids/highs hold up well and have dedicated tweeters unlike many others. All my existing BT speakers sound like are toys now…..just like the old 1080P TV!!!!!Have been looking models by the king for a few months, but was put off by the ugly look despite the rave reviews. Then finally the X10 speaker appears including the premium build, looks/feels great and has a HUGE powerbank. Even works as a speakerphone. At $100 this destroys the name brands. Just ordered another one to be able to pair for parties….gotta throw my old UE booms to the curb…never realized how much bass could come from such a small package

I researched bluetooth speakers for a long time before purchasing this one. I watched all the youtube reviews of various brands and price points. Since this is a newer W-King there wasn’t much to go off so I decided to take a gamble and return it if it was no good. When I recieved it I was immedietely impressed with the build quality for the price. After fully charging it (took overnight using a samsung S9 phone charger; I purchased the recommended 30w USB-C fast wall plug to speed it up in future) I played various types of music to test the sound quality and was not that impressed; especially in EQ 2 mode. I was ready to return it and spend a lot more money on a Sonos but decided first I would email W-King asking for a firmware update to address the sound quality issue. They responded very quickly that evening with a link to the update software. Awesome customer service! I think the reason they don’t make it readily available is because it’s not an intuitive process; Less tech savvy people may have an issue. You have to unzip a folder from the link, install updater software, then point the software to the firmware file all while holding down various buttons on the speaker. I think you also have to be using a windows based system. Once it was updated the sound is much improved. For my listening preference EQ 2 now sounds better with a fuller rounded out sound than EQ 1. The firmware update brought back the bass and lower range in EQ2. EQ 1 is super bass forward and muddier sounding in comparison but still ok. Some people may like that sound as it’s a subjective preference. Now the sound quality is very good especially at this $100 price point. Another thing that surprised me is how loud this thing gets with no distortion. The bass is excellent especially when put in a corner near a wall. You can’t tell but besides the 2 on the sides there is also a passive bass radiator on the back above the input ports which reflects off the wall. All in all now it’s a great sounding speaker, a bargain for the price, from a company with excellent customer service.

Went from jbl extreme 2 to soundcore motion plus then a motion boom then aiwa exos 3 then harmon kardon onyx studio 6 then w king d9 then a second d9 love those speakers to t9 which I returned as there was no ip rating and now the x10!!! The x10 is my favorite of all these and to me has the best sound, best build, and best features!! If a person has android and can go into sound setttings.. hit adapt sound then the under 30 yrs old option which boosts the highs and then keep this speaker on the indoor mode which has an insane amt of bass for speaker this size you will find this thing is the meanest most beautiful bt speaker made!! Where this speaker shines is at that 70 to 100 percent volume level!! The others at 80 percent or more would begin to distort and sound would go downhill….. these w king speakers are all different in that they just get better…. zero distortion at those volumes!!!! Really a person cannot go wrong with any of the 3 I’ve had from w king…. but the x10 to me is hands down the best of the best and that is especially true if you have an android phone!!!! No matter what phone tho a person cannot go wrong!!!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This speaker sounds great. I’m shocked by the amount of volume this little thing puts out. It’s very loud with very decent bass, for its size. It easily connects to Bluetooth (and stays connected) every time, with no issue. The strap and its clips look nice and seem to be good quality. I also have the D9. Their volume is about the same (the D9 may be a tiny bit louder), but the X10 has a nicer, richer sound, which I prefer. I’ve tested it it with various styles of music, from acoustic to electronic, and they all sound good coming out of this thing. I even plugged it into my TV as a little sound bar and it sounded great. It really brought the movie alive. This speaker is so versatile. I have different speakers for different purposes, and I bought this one for one very specific use, but I find myself reaching for this one over and over.If I had to find something to complain about, I would like the option to disable some of the speaker’s features. For example, when you long press the Volume buttons (a very popular way to adjust volume, in my experience), it skips to the next or previous track. I could also do without the loud chimes on powering on/off and connecting/disconnecting. I’m also not crazy about the lights on the buttons staying on all the time. I don’t think that these are inherently bad features, just ones that I personally could do without.Overall, I’m very happy with this speaker. I’m sure it will see plenty of mileage this summer.

The W-KING X10 is a crisp sounding speaker. Out of the 3 W-KING speakers I own (D9, T9, & X10) this speaker I think is a good choice if you’re looking to take your speaker outdoors. It comes with a strap, similar to the older D8 which makes it look and feel very portable. This speaker sounds like it was made for an outdoor party experience. It favors clarity than bass. I compared the sound with my D9 and there was a noticeable difference. Here’s my suggestion -If you want super loud BASS and don’t care about portability and waterproof then get the T9. If you want a little more bass than the X10 then the D9 is an excellent choice, though I think it’s more INDOOR friendly because of its design.Overall this is a nice speaker and I think I’ll be using this only for outdoor events because of its clarity and portability.

  10. Looking for best value

Updated 8/28/21:As mentioned below in my original review, I ordered the T9-1 and have done a pretty thorough comparison of features and sound quality between the X10 and T9-1. Heaviest emphasis is on sound quality. The verdict: The X10 wins. Yes, the T9-1 has an ever-so-slightly deeper bass than the X10. But for you bass lovers, the difference is barely discernible. And the T9-1 bass has a weird, kind of unpleasant hollow sound to it that I do not notice with the X10. The bass on the T9-1 just doesn’t sound as crisp and clear as the X10. Maybe the larger casing with the T9-1 causes that hollow sound? Not sure. Anyway, the T9-1 does get a little bit…again, only a little bit…louder than the X10. Again, barely discernible. Overall, I just think the X10 sounds better and combine that with the fact that the X10 is IPX6 rated, the X10 is an overall better speaker. (I do like the lighting effects on the T9-1 and that it auto-shuts off after a while if there’s no music input. But for me, sound quality is most important.)Original review:I’ve become a bluetooth speaker junky. I’ve owned about a dozen of them over the years and currently have 4, with a 5th one (a W-King T9) on the way.I purchased this W-King X10 a couple of weeks ago and it sounds great. I also have several Doss speakers including 2 Doss Soundbox XL’s that are probably the best bang for the buck as far as getting really good sounding speakers at a low price. Paired together, the 2 Doss XL’s sound fantastic with their sub-woofers providing low bass, but (a) they are for indoor use only and (b) the W-King X10 is louder with even deeper bass. So, now that I’ve had the W-King X10 for a couple of weeks, here are the pros and cons:PROS> Excellent sound. I’m a bass lover and this speaker does not disappoint.> Solidly built. This speaker is put together like a tank. Good looking too.> Very resistant to water damage, but not submersible.> Good value for the price.CONS> I wish bluetooth speaker manufacturers/resellers wouldn’t exaggerate the battery duration in their product descriptions. For example, W-King says the X10 can last 45 hours on one charge. Well that may be true, but read the caveat carefully in the description. It says 45 hours if it’s on the lowest volume setting. Heck…you can hardly hear anything on the lowest volume setting. So no way does this battery last as long as it’s hyped if you intend to use it as most people would, i.e. at 50% – 75% volume. At those higher volume settings, I’d say you’ll get between 5-8 hours of playtime.> I like using the TF/SD card feature. But I wish the unit would automatically shuffle the files instead of playing them in sequence. I contacted the reseller and they said there’s no firmware update available to shuffle the TF/SD card playlist. (The Doss XL does have a firmware update that shuffles music files being played from a TF/SD card.)> There’s no auto-off feature that turns off the speaker if there’s no incoming bluetooth signal after…say…10 minutes.Lastly, to those who have given lower ratings because the X10 does not come with a power adapter/charger, you’re certainly entitled to do so. But the description clearly states, multiple times, that this speaker does not come with an adapter/charger. So it’s not like they didn’t tell you! And besides, probably 90% of us already have adapters/chargers that we can use for the X10. It can handle up to a 30 watt adapter/charger for the quickest charging time (3.5 hrs). I don’t have one, so I just use an existing 10 watt adapter/charger. Yeah…it takes longer to charge, but I just plug it in at bedtime and it’s fully charged by morning. So, I can’t wait for the T9 to arrive and then I’ll compare the two and update this review. Stay tuned!!
