Amazon Customer –
I got my T9 today and was so excited to blast some tunes out in the backyard and then tomorrow for a party we are having, sadly I received a non-working speaker, more or less a shiny cinder block. it looks great, everything appears to be in fine condition, but the speaker will not power on and does not change when plugged in. it’s got a QC sticker on it, I’m guessing that means quality control, so the speaker must’ve worked at some point if that sticker is to be believed.I will update this review when I get the replacement. kind of crappy that it’s not expected to reach me until Tuesday when they should be overnighting me one.UPDATE – What started as a really frustrating experience was greatly alleviated by the quality customer service team at W-King. These things happen and they got me the replacement fast and I can’t really complain about Amazon taking an extra day to deliver it.As for the speaker, it sounds amazing. We just started blasting it in the kitchen and it thumps, with crystal clear audio. really good work went into the sound of this speaker, which maintains that crisp sound at high volume. I got really lucky in finding this speaker and almost got the Anker. More people should know about W-King.I imagine a lot of people will be shocked when I use it for a wedding reception and I tell them the price. thank you W-King team! I will try to add some pics and vids later.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This speaker is a beast, and sounds amazing. I already had the W-King D-9. 4 of them to be exact. I just ordered my second one of these. I hate I live in apartments, but you wasting time if you haven’t ordered yet. Point blank!!! Thank you W-King for your craftsmanship.

You want to impress your friends? THIS is the speaker to get! I’ve tested a bunch of different Bluetooth speakers the T9 is my favorite. The W-King T9 will crank up very loud and the bass on this thing sounds SO damn good!I’ve tested many Bluetooth speakers, this is the best bang for your buck! It blows away the big named brands that are stupidity overpriced and can hold it’s own against other larger party boxes at much higher price tags. The T9 has REAL bass and very good highs as well as mids. The lights are a cool feature that goes with the beat and the pattern can be changed or turned off completely. The handle is a very nice leather like material and can be tucked back out of the way or removed. 24hr battery life and USB type C charge port, I can charge it anywhere I can charge my phone even in the car.I personally don’t care that there’s no waterproof rating because i don’t play it out in the rain or on the edge of a pool, you really don’t need this speaker right next to you to hear it well, it can be placed a good distance away and will still blast amazing sound.I recommend turning the volume knob to max then using the volume on your phone to control how loud you like it because it doesn’t sync the volumes together. Also if you really want this speaker to shine I highly recommend using an equalizer or download an EQ app and test out a few different settings until you get the sound stage you like, I have an Android phone (Pixel 3a) and use WAVELET from the play store, after a few adjustments the speaker sounds even better! It’s nice too because when I’m in my apartment and don’t want to disturb my neighbors with the bass I can easily adjust the bass down. You could also double tap the play button on the speaker and that will change it from indoor mode (with bass) or outdoor mode (no bass) as well.If you’re looking for a party blasting speaker with bass that has plenty of volume this is the one to get, it’s amazing value for the money. If you looking for something smaller but still very loud with respectable bass and waterproofing, the W-King X10 is my second choice. The T9 just has a bigger sound with louder bass but the X10 is similarly loud in volume.W-king makes some impressive speakers and stands behind their products from my experience.

I have ordered 2 of these. I knew going in that this was not the same and had no mic, no remote, water rating etc. It’s ported so it can’t be water rated. Ported enclosures give a different kind of base response like a studio pair of monitors. The Asian version is more of a Karaoke focus rather than a partybox. The US version has a larger battery too. The US version is more like a partybox, less Karaoke and cheaper I suspect as that cordless mic with LED looks expensive. It might have other spec differences as well like the battery. It’s very possible the US version sounds better too.Update: I tested one side by side with the D9. I removed the grills and measured both woofers. The D9 measures 3 4/12 inches. The T9 measures 3 7/12 inches so it’s only 1/4 inch larger measuring from the outside of the foam surround on each. See photos. They appear very similar. I think both sounded great but the larger enclosure and ported housing sounds slightly better on the T9. I’m pretty sure the tweeters are identical. The T9 goes a little louder but keep in mind the ratio of loudness in dbs to watts is only about 1/3rd. 20 additional T9 watts is only 6 or 7 dbs louder. I didn’t notice any distortion at max volume on either speaker. The packaging claims it has a bass boost called “live mode” which it does not specifically but it has something called indoor & outdoor modes per the instructions. The default mode has more bass and the pressing the button probably focuses more energy toward the highs and mids and gets brighter. The default mode is better. It says something about “Bass Up” technology but I think this refers to the ported enclosure (one reason it can’t be water proof) which will make bass somewhat less punchy (as with passive radiator on the D9) and tends to make it sound deeper. It didn’t seem too boomy IMO but was a bit deeper than my D9.5/11/21 Update: I opened up the unit (see photos) and added some pillow fiber filling to dampen it. It doesn’t come with any inside as you can see. You’ll need a long Allen wrench to remove the 12 screws. The internal components, wiring etc. all was very solid and professional looking. I actually received a “defective” unit that would charge but had no controls working. The red light stayed on continually and did not power up. I opened it up and the ribbon into the control module was not seated squarely. I unplugged it and inserted it back squarely. Works perfectly now or so far.I’ve been breaking these in using TWS and they are really impressive. It’s not a boom box or a party box but a nice HiFi sounding in home stereo system. No single enclosure speaker, even if it has L/R stereo drivers, provides a good stereo field unless it’s within 24 inches of your face. The T9 has nestled its tweeters in close proximity and in the center which doesn’t help matters. Probably because they want it to sit upright most of the time. When it’s on the side the tweeter separation is zero or on a vertical axis while the mid-low drivers are on a horizontal axis. Said all of that to say that (2) in TWS is the way to go with the T9. They are well worth a trial period in TWS especially. Probably nothing comes close for a more flat and even response in the party box market. Big booming bass and boosted upper range is initially very attention grabbing but after 20 minutes your ears and head hurt. (2) T9s are a more professional sounding system and true even at lower volumes.I pasted a sketch of a cabinet kit (almost a perfect fit) which I’m going to convert the T9 into bookshelf speakers. I’ll post the final result when I’m done. I might front port them, haven’t decided yet. See my U-tube videos called “W-King T9 Transformation” if you’re interested.

I am really enjoying my speaker right out the box. The sound is similar to what you would hear in an audio store where they play limited sounds geared to that speaker. I am really impressed with not only the quality of the speaker, but the sound as well. One thing on this model the power supply cord for the speaker merely uses a USB adapter for the wall. You don’t need to buy a special adapter. Also, I was surprised to see the light system display which will really look nice when I play the speaker outside at night near the hot tub. I am really pleased with this purchase. In addition to all of the great features on the speaker, the price is great. My experience is so great, I can say that all of my future speakers will be W-King.
A Reviewer –
The T9 “bass party speaker” is the newest speaker from an established, respected company that consistently gets great reviews on their other speakers like the D8 and D9.This T9 speaker is pretty similar to those speakers, only better — around 50% louder and bigger. The other smaller speakers like D8 and D9 do have a few advantages over the T9 — they’re waterproof / water resistant, and they can be used to charge phones and other USB devices. But I’m fine with that. I’d rather have louder, better sound. As another reviewer said, making the speaker waterproof impacts the sound.I *really* like this speaker. I’ve tried a lot of portable speakers. This one is my favorite by far. It’s one of only two speakers I liked enough to keep. It’s louder and has more bass than the smaller waterproof speakers I tried in the 30-50 watt range. This speaker will adequately fill up a large 25 foot square room with loud party music (I noticed my ears were ringing after just 10 minutes of max volume). The music is still at enjoyable volumes in the connecting rooms on every side — loud enough that some of you might turn down the music or move to a further room to talk.PROS:The price is lower than most every other party speaker of comparable size and quality. The sound is quite good — the best of all I’ve tried. Sound is clearer, with more bass and a sound EQ profile closer to a real stereo system. This speaker has two EQ modes that should satisfy people who like more bass and those who prefer more treble. Most other directional speakers tend to have the sound change noticeably as you move around the room. Especially the loudness and the EQ / sound profile. This is the first one that doesn’t.Many other speakers have had noticeable intermittent rises and falls in volume during some songs. I suspect the speakers being so close to each other leads to undesirable accidental noise cancellation, where opposite or out of sync sound waves cancel each other out. This one doesn’t.Usually I distrust and avoid products on Amazon that have only a few reviews. Too many of them are scams. Rest assured, this speaker has few reviews right now because it’s so new.W-King has honestly really impressed me as being a great company, for the reasons below.I *love* that W-King speakers (like the D8 and D9, and hopefully this new T9) have updatable firmware. This allows speaker features to be changed, fixed, and improved. Features like sound quality and equalization profile. I don’t know any other speaker manufacturer that does that.Their support is great. They quickly replied to my tech support questions by email. When they saw I had left a review of one of their other speakers that wasn’t all 5 stars, they immediately took the time to reach out to me and made recommendations that helped. They really went the extra mile and seemed to care about their customers being satisfied. What other company does that?W-King headquarters are outside the US — like practically every other speaker company. But you’d never know it. Unlike other speaker companies, their English in their user manual and support emails is impeccable, so no worries there. Their manuals, support emails and web sites are clear and easier to understand than most.USAGE TIPS:If you should ever need to contact W-along support, be sure to use their email address for Amazon customers. That email address contains “Amazon.” It’s in the user manual. Skip their web site and the email address listed there. They’re not intended for US or Amazon customer support.I’d guess the best setup for this type of speaker to spread the volume evenly would probably be one speaker in the middle of the room, or two identical speakers paired together and spread apart.Personally I like putting this speaker on its side. This makes it more stable and less likely to fall or be knocked over. (Though it appears to have fairly solid protection from falls.)Personally, I wish the sound didn’t cut out with a loud beep when you reach the max volume. I wish there was an indicator to show the volume level. I wish the flashing lights (which are pretty) were off by default. But these are not disadvantages of the T9, because *every* portable speaker I know also does these thingsI can definitely recommend you try out this speaker. There’s really no risk. If this speaker doesn’t “wow” you like it did me, Amazon will let you return it as usual at no cost to you.

First off. Reviewer Squishie. Don’t negatively review a product you didn’t purchase or use. Your opinion not needed. The T9 has the same tweeters as the D9 but has slightly bigger woofers and is ported. It also is an 80 watt speaker vs the D9s 60 watts. It is a little louder than the D9 with much deeper bass. There are new comparison videos on you tube. Search w king t9 review and look for the most recent reviews.I have 2 D-8s and love them but the T-9 blows them away. Amazing bass and extremely loud! I highly recommend this speaker! 100% authentic W-King. The King of all W-Kings

4.5 stars rounded up to 5…I have had W-King’s older model D8 speaker for several months now. I love the D8! It sounds very good, has sufficient bass for my taste, and gets plenty loud for my needs. I like its design and functionality. My only gripe with the D8 is the repeating low battery signal that starts chiming every 90 seconds at 20% battery.I skipped the D9 but am trying out the new T9 party speaker based on my love of the high quality D8.For straight-up value, you can’t beat the D8, but the T9 is remarkable! It is a good-looking, hefty speaker. I estimate it is twice as large as the D8. It sits tall with the controls on the top. I prefer to lay it on its side, and it has discreet rubber pads on one side for this. The T9 sounds fantastic! The bass is even improved from the very good bass of the D8. It gets plenty loud for my use and can shake the walls of my bedroom. I really like that this unit has a dial for the volume. It also has a simple, effective, and removable handle, which I appreciate; although it tucks away easily, I don’t think I’ll ever remove it. It comes with very nice, braided cords for USB and 3.5 mm auxiliary input. I have to use an aux input when watching videos on Hulu, for instance, with the older D8, due to sound latency, but I have not noticed sound latency on the T9.The W-King wizards addressed the low-battery signal! Now only one chime is emitted at 20%, one at 10%, and one before it shuts down. Hallelujah!I’m not a “party” guy, but the lights are fun , they have several settings, and I can turn them off when I want. I do wish the unit would remember the light setting. Once it is restarted the light setting is back to the original. I would generally prefer no lights, and I need to cycle through 5 presses to turn them off. Another small complaint (and it may be user error/iPhone error) is that my phone will not tell me the T9 battery percentage like it does for my D8. It has no waterproof rating, likely due to the method that enables the awesome-sounding bass, with an open port on the back, so take some precaution. The battery is pretty good, maybe slightly less effective than the D8’s.Great speaker. Awesome functionality. If you pair 2 together, you could rock any party (but that’s more volume than I’ll ever need). One is more than enough for my uses. I am very pleased with both the W-King speakers I have purchased and I recommend them to all music lovers.

I spent hours and hours reading reviews and watching YouTube reviews on different speakers. I was looking for anything that could drop the bass. My intention for this speaker was for my boat. Just something I can bring with nothing I would leave in my boat permanently. This is not a waterproof speaker. I opened the box and turned it on and was like woah this is wanted I wanted! I purchased the D9 by w-king and thought it was nice but nothing to make me get excited. This speaker blows the D9 out of the water in sound. I’m probably going to buy another one as soon as I’m done with this review because it’s just that good. Just for fun I put it under my seat in boat and cranked it and the floor was vibrating. I have yet to see an audio review on this speaker that actually comes close to showing off how good it sounds. A phone camera or video camera just isn’t going to let you “feel” how good it sounds. I’m excited to be able to whip around in a boat and be able to drop the bass over a loud engine. Lucky for me I can keep it protected from water. Just buy it!

So I have had this speaker for about 2 months now and it has to be the most incredible bluetooth speaker on the market. First of all the battery last all day and all night. But what makes this speaker unique is the sound quality. The clarity is constant even when at peak volume. And speaking of volume it is loud, very loud with plenty of treble and bass. The bass from this speaker is unreal and I could not believe a speaker of this size produced a bass output almost like it is a 12″ woofer. Well the bottom line is that I am very happy with this unit. 7 of my friends have gone out and bought one so far after hearing mine. So that should say a lot about this amazing speaker. Plus it has a great light show that can be set to your choice of display. The indoor and outdoor mode is great too. It does no come with a mic input, but I found a way to to make it work using the AUX input byway of a battery power mixer with and echo and a wireless mic and receiver. it bypasses the bluetooth process but works great and gets more power out of the speaker which maintaining the sound clarity. Loving it loudly.
