Let me first start out with that I am not new to higher end gaming headsets, previous owner of Sennhiesers gsp600s, astro a50s/a40s. *This review is for the SE virtuosos*At first I wasn’t entirely to happy with these headsets. I knew going into it that peoples ears dont fit that well inside the cups, this is true but after wearing them and breaking them in my ears now fit fine inside of them. I do have a pretty large head and as much as I hate to admit I did sit down for about 8 hours gaming one day and never felt like these were uncomfortable. But in reality I feel like wearing anything for that long, something will start to feel uncomfortable ya know?Sound: This is what bugged me the most, the sound profiles (for me atleast) are atrocious to say the least and after 3 hours of going from the game to the eq adjusters I got these things absolutely dialed and I will say that they are better in sound than any of the headsets I have previously listed. And the noise cancelling is actually insane, I cant hear a thing around me.Software: The software for the headsets is pretty basic but it gets the job done, it adjusts the eq and lets you change the rgb, simple but it works.Mic: From what my friends over discord tell me, it is crisp and clear.

First off, packaging by Corsair has always been of high quality and this is another product that shows that. Now, headset comfortability is nearly impossible to review since everyones fitment and head/ear size varies. That being said, I have a relatively round head and slightly larger than average ears. The ear muffs of these headsets aren’t firm nor soft, and are a few mm. from covering my entire ear. No big deal, but would feel a lot more comfy if they did. Onto sound and mic quality, it is superb. Friends/family have noted that my mic quality is crisp and clear, but this mic does pick up a lot more background noise compared to the Corsair Void Pros, though that could be fixed with a software setting. Had no issues with iCue software that others may have mentioned. They are on the more pricy side, but overall, I still think the price is worth it.Sound: 8/10Comfortability: 7/10Microphone: 9/10Price vs. Quality: 8/10

Needed a new gaming headset and these came out just at the right time. Having had 5 different pairs over the past 3 years, I am extremely picky about my headset and customization options for any headset I have bought. These beat out every one of my gaming headset by far for . USB type C THANK YOU JESUS! and they are extremely comfortable and have a good bit of eq options I can choice from. have amazing Audio and the MIC is probably they best out of all I have every tried on a headset. Worth the price and worth the wait!

I normally don’t review but these gaming headphones from Corsair was fantastic! I just got them a few days ago and was able to use them for just about over 10 hours.[I will update when I use them for a longer period of time.]Build Quality : Well made and has some weight on it. Nothing was left cheaply made specially the body.Comfort : They are comfortable but my only drawback was my ears do go inside of the cushions and touches the inside. No biggie really…But the fit on my head was perfect and my ears did feel fine after a few hours of use .Sound : I have nothing to say bad on the sound. It’s perfectly clear and the surround sound works well. However, there’s only one way to change it from stereo to 7.1 audio within the software. This is a gaming headset so on music it’s not up to par but way better than most headphones. Can’t really compare apples to apples on say..Sony or Bose headphones but those are mainly for music. When you put it on, you can barely hear ambient sound but just enough for you to hear someone calling you nameMic: It’s pretty clear according to my friend who I had to on the other side of the room. I like how it’s flexible and let you know it’s on or off. I haven’t use this feature much yet but I’ll update when I can. It is also removable.Features : Wireless headphones are great with the usb dongle. I like how you can turn the volume underneath the headphones. There is also a wired mode (to charge it) so if you don’t want wireless you can plug it in with a USB C or the 3.5mm. There’s also a cool special lighting on the side with the corsair logo on it that you can change the lights. Just a cool perk I guess..Wireless : It’s great but just enough to go into the next room nothing further. Not really a drawback. Conclusion : I have no regret purchasing this gaming headphone! I think it has the best bang for you buck compared to others.

This is my personal perspectiveI’m happy with the headsetPros1. clear sound2. Powerful3. Fits my head4. Good range5. Long battery life6. It holds it’s settings in when not connected to an icue device (I use it for my gaming computer and work computer)7. It’s bling blingCons1. Heavy ( dah it’s mostly metal)2. Earpads could be thicker3. Not Bluetooth, so you can’t connect to other devices like phone or tablet without a wire.4. If used as a phone headset you need to disable sleep mode in icue because factory settings are 10 minutes (didn’t realize this at work and dropped 2 calls)

I was a big fan of the g933 headset by logitech, until my second one had the same fate as my first. The power button bent after a year of use and the logitech headset was terrible and their customer service was worse. These Corsair Virtuoso RGB are great. They have an accelerometer inside so they stay on even when there is no sound input. If you leave them on a headset stand or on a desktop, they will turn off by themselves when they dont detect movement!Their ICUE UI needs a little TLC and more cusomization but it is pretty good. The sound quality is great when I set it on FPS or bass mode, depending if I am gaming or listening to music.I love that the mic has a mute button on it, AND you can also just remove it easily when you dont want it attached, and put it back on easily when you want to use it.The range is about 15 feet longer than my old logitech g933, and there is less distortion, except when within 3 feet of a microwave that is in use. They are very comfortable, but they could use about a 1/8th to a 1/4 inch more padding. They dont make my ears feel so hot like the g933s did, but the g933s had just a smidgen more padding which was marginally better than these.I really just like that they work better than the g933s! I am recommending them to everyone that I know that sits in front of a computer for long periods of time and games, watches movies, or listens to music on them.

This is a review coming from an average gamer and music listener. After upgrading my PC, I wanted to upgrade from my $30 Sades 902 headset. I wanted something wireless to avoid extra wires without compromising quality of sound on the mic end and audio end. Below I breakdown pros and cons mostly from a wireless perspective.Price: After watching review after review of Yotubers comparing these to other headsets that are significantly more expensive, I had a feeling these would be worth it. And so far they are. The “Premium” version is worth it for the build and audio quality obtained considering it is wireless.Build: Quality build. Sturdy while looking really clean and cool. The RGB is a plus considering I already use Corsair’s iCue software for my PC fans and keyboard.Audio: Great sound but lacks punchy bass. iCue has some customization options but doesn’t help the bass much.Mic: Solid mic quality. Being completely detachable is a huge plus as it allows the headset to then double as an aesthetically pleasing pair of headphones.Wireless: The dongle provided is built strong and looks good. Functionally awesome too considering I can walk around my apartment without losing audio or mic connection.Comfort: Comfy but a bit too snug. The snugness does help with sound isolation though. Conclusion: A quality wireless headset that is worth the price point. If you’re picky about your bass, this may be lacking for you.

I have owned the Corsair Virtuoso headset for over 6 months. Previously, I owned a G935 and made a G935 review after having many issues with it. However, I was left feeling like I wanted more, and I decided to double down on my efforts for finding a headset that suits me. Anything the G935 did, it just feels like the Corsair Virtuoso did better. And I’ve owned many wireless headsets, including, but not limited to: Steelseries Arctis 7, G935, Stealth 520, Sony Gold, Elite 800, and some other wired headsets. Before I officially start this review, I want to say this headset beats all of them. For now, I will be comparing the Virtuoso to more relevant competition like the Arctis 7 and the G935.First of all, I want to target what I do NOT like about the headset, as I find that is usually more useful to most people than hearing about how good it is. This headset deserves the 5 star review I gave it, despite the problems I’ve had.Software and the iCue service: iCue is the software Corsair uses for all of their products, and it’s… better than most softwares, I suppose. Certainly better than G-Hub. I find that in very specific cases the software does not meet my needs and almost always the answer to fixing the problem is to restart my PC. I’m sure you can understand how frustrating that can be.A full list of problems I’ve encountered:If the headset runs out of charge, the software will not recognize the headset’s wireless feature again until you restart the PC. Sorry, there is no fix for this, however it is not a consistent problem.Discord doesn’t play nice with this headset, despite being a Discord verified headset. Ironic, however I have found that the discord app noises (ex, joining a call, or muting yourself through discord) all have a distinct delay to the sound ques they make. Also, when reconnecting the device, Discord also doesn’t recognize the device and switch to it, you must do that manually. (this is an ongoing issue)If you go out of range, there is no guarantee the headset will reconnect unless you reset the headset.Sometimes, while charging the headset and using the wireless function, the device will randomly tell you it is charging, sometimes twice in a row. I do not disconnect the charging cable and it isn’t loose. The mute button sometimes does not work. And sometimes I have muted myself, the light on the microphone turned red, and people could still hear me.Now onto good things.Sound: The sound on this headset is, without a doubt, among the best. And I get the clearest and fullest sounds from my games. I’d say this more neutral sounding than the G935 (G935 is more bass heavy) and on par with how good the Arctis 7 sounds. The surround sound is full, and is what I use day to day as I have become accustomed to how surround sound sounds from other headsets. The presets of sound profiles make a difference, and I appreciate them, however I do not use them and keep the default sound on, as it sounds the most natural.Battery: I do not use the RGB on the headset, so the battery easily lasts over 20 hours. The charge times are quick, too, using a USB-C cable you also don’t have to worry about which way the USB is plugging in and you can easily plug in the headset while it’s on your head. I do find the charge port to be in a bit of a peculiar position, as it is more facing your left shoulder than straight down. Unsure if that was an oversight or there wasn’t enough room on the headset to accommodate the charging port to be there. Either way, a very minor issue.Comfort: This is the biggest indicator for myself of whether or not I like a headset, as I do not find this to be the absolute best comfort headphones, those would have to go for the G935, I do have to say they are quite comfortable, and seemingly can fit a lot of head sizes with the adjustable earmuffs. The leatherette feels good, and has yet to see any sign of deterioration yet. I do have to say, on occasion I do have to adjust them on my head as it can get a bit awkward on the same place of my ears, but I do not find it annoying by any means. I would suggest these over the older models of the Arctis 7.Microphone: Easily one of the best sounding headset microphones. I have had people ask me if I was using something like a Blue Yeti or another type of high end microphone. For the price point, I would expect a good microphone, and the Virtuoso delivers. The microphone sidetone is handled well, for those who like to hear themselves when they talk. It can be adjusted and turned off and on. Also, the microphone is removable, and as a non gaming headset, this headset looks like it would fit the bill. The microphone is also very good at removing any unwanted sound while also consistently delivering what you want it to communicate. Very impressive, I’ve yet to see it done this well by any other headset.Durability: Metal, finally a headset that uses metal in places where the headset is most prone to fail. I’m not just talking metal in the bands, I’m talking metal where the bands meet the cups, too. The headset feels premium, like it’s meant to last many, many years. And with this type of durability and a removable microphone in case your current microphone breaks, this headset definitely seems to have been built with some longevity in mind. If you want a headset just for durability alone, I cannot recommend this headset enough.Controls: There is a switch that isn’t exactly like an on and off switch. It’s a USB or Wireless switch. You can imagine how sometimes this might be annoying, but it works very well, surprisingly. There is a 3.5mm jack, for when you need that. USB-C charging port. Volume scroller that feels very secure. And a mute button on the removable microphone itself. The headset is also adjustable to fit your head. Conclusion: I do my research on headsets, and I can say the Corsair Virtuoso is among the best. In the upper echelon of gaming headsets, the competition gets fierce, and the prices get high. I want to call this headset no compromise, but the software would need to be better for it to be called that in my book. And maybe the battery could be longer. But this headset carries the torch for many other headsets to strive to be as good as it. If you’re thinking about spending this much money on a headset, you already know you want a headset that is going to do everything, and this is there.

What can i say, i love my full metal corsair products, the RGB is really cool how they have the ring around the mic!The audio is great when its in the wireless mode and its even better when you use the Aux cord. The pressure on my ears isn’t a problem because of the soft foam insideThe headset fits great tho its not the softest head paddingYeeeeeeee yeeeeOver all i would say you cant go wrong here, a must buy!Edit: after using it for awhile i would it needs some softer head padding

Pros:* Top Tier sound quality AND mic quality, even on wireless.* Price is reasonable compared to other upper end gaming headsets.* Noise reduction is significant (and it’s NOT a noise cancelling set, crazy).* Range on the wireless is surprisingly good (I can listen to music downstairs in my kitchen from my PC upstairs).* Self Shut-off and motion Turn-On work great and I didn’t even know it did the turn-on part.* Lots of other details…Cons:* Only one I could think of – the headband is mostly comfy, but it does sit a little heavy, so it gets uncomfortable if you don’t move it around a little occasionally. If you want ultra-comfy, I recommend the Steel series headsets that have the ‘strap’ headband.Overall, I can’t say enough good things about this headset. I did a lot of research before buying, and I’ve had a corsair headset previously (VOID 7.1 older model) that held up very well (I still use it with my XBox) and sounds great, so I figured at worst, this one would sound great and have wireless, plus some other stuff. I charged it before using, it got to full pretty quickly running off my 3.0 output off the back of my PC, and once connected the slipstream connection become immediately noticeable – if there is any latency, it’s so little that I can’t detect it, and the quality of sound from both the speakers and the mic are unbelievably good for a headset under $200. I’ve had the opportunity to test out some $500-$700 headsets that were similar quality, but at this price, there’s no comparison that I’m aware of.After using for a bit, I set it down, and it shut itself off after a few seconds – that seemed odd to me, usually ‘idle’ takes a minute or two, so I picked it back up and watched as it turned itself on again immediately. I laughed out loud because I hadn’t realized it had some kind of motion detection built in (probably a little gyro inside), which is great. Most of the other features are similar to other upper end headsets (multiple connection types available, etc.), but worth noting that the RGB, while subtle, is a very nice addition especially if you’re using other Corsair peripherals (I’ve got a K95 and M65), so the ‘flow of color’ is really consistent and fun to play with. Also worth noting is that while this is not a noise cancelling headset, I’d say it reduces outside noise just from the quality of the ear covers and such.Only thing worth mentioning that is negative I noted above, but I figured I’d go into more detail. I have a ‘slightly’ sensitive scalp, so for me, when I wear this for 2+ hours, I have to make sure and adjust it an inch forward or back or it starts getting a little uncomfortable right at the top. The ears never get uncomfortable, as a combination of being circumaural and having very nice padding takes care of that – I will say though that my ears get a tad sweaty though, this thing seals really well.
