We didn’t need a gaming laptop. This laptop is fine for our applications of business software, photo editing, graphics, i. The bigger screen size was important to have multiple windows open. Really like this laptop and the price was very reasonable in comparison to other 17 in laptops

It has been 12 years since I bought anything new. I was prepared for a fight to get this laptop up and running for me. To my surprise, I had absolutely NO problems! Amazing, and the laptop came double boxed and ready to work. I am buying the same laptop again because I have a 10-year-old notebook that is having problems. I am so very happy with this laptop.

A laptop that can be repaired, upgraded, modified. And with a DVD drive. This is the real deal. Big, burly, solid.In the past I have had several Acer laptops and I have been happy with them. The last models though are just too wimpy and locked down. So I went to Dell. It has a real Bios! You can change things around! Yes, it is heavy compared to those thin and light laptops that are in vogue. However, if you want a trustworthy everyday laptop to do work on, this one will fit the bill nicely. First thing I did was to jettison W10 and put GNU/Linux on it…of course. This Dell sells laptops preloaded with Ubuntu, they are basically Linux friendly laptops. There is a little bit of light spillage at the bottom of the screen, so not perfect, but good enough for me. Works very well with large external monitors such as 65″ classroom screens. One of my primary uses for this laptop is in the classroom.

I was aware this laptop did not have a touchscreen. Clarity is great and so far it runs fast and was very easy to set up. Very happy with Brown Box so far. Pretty quick shipping.

I bought the dell on the left in 2013, and as a CPA, you can see the ink worn off, keys popped off etc. How about that computer earned its look of being worn. I thought I wanted to try a different brand and I bought one and last week I sent it back. The other brand locked up in a week! I said, I want my dell back. I was delighted when it came today. I have expansion for dual monitors, a dvd drive , I can put my sd card slot in, usb ports etc and I bought a 17 inch. Now if you have it on your lap like I do, need a bigger lap table which is on order but still fits on my old one too. I love the computer.

I consider myself a mid-grade power user of computers. At first I was skeptical about purchasing this particular model because of the negative reviews. However, i took the chance and this turned out to be the best computer purchase I have ever made. I held on to my Toshiba for 12 years only having to upgrade its memory, replace the keyboard and the hard drive. But since I am in to producing videos I needed something with a bit more kick. I tell you this is the one! Super fast, boots up quickly, recognizes peripheral devices instantly and mega space for storage although I will purchase an external drive for that. Thank you Dell for putting together a FANTASTIC MACHINE.

This product arrived early and the packaging was excellent. I have always liked Dell products and this is no exception. The picture on screen is very bright and clear and it is very quick. I highly recommend it! The only draw back is the weight. It’s kind of heavy.

I ordered this laptop on Sunday along with a 4TB external hard drive and it said it would arrive Friday, but here it is on Wednesday afternoon. I am thrilled with the fast delivery and the laptop looks as great as it does in the pictures. I compared it to my old Dell Latitude; it’s magnificent how big this new one is. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a laptop this large and hopefully I’ll keep it in good shape for a long while. I owned a 17.3″ HP laptop back when I was a freshman in high school (2009), and, I obviously couldn’t handle such a large sized piece of hardware back then – it definitely had some damage done. But now that I’m older and have had experience with many different laptops, I think I’m ready for this larger sized one. I’ve just set it up, which was fast and efficient – I’m in love with this new laptop already. I am very glad I made the choice to purchase this. I’ve been looking for a good brand that will last me a while. I wanted something with a lot of space but also a good amount of RAM so I can do some minor gaming (I play the sims 3). I know this isn’t a gaming laptop per say, but, for the sims 3, I think this will do. It’s definitely an upgrade from my previous Dell Latitude. So far, I’m very pleased with my purchase and would for sure recommend this laptop to anyone looking for something new.

So far it works perfect. I had a small problem with setup but the customer service Department helped me with that and stayed on the line to make sure it was working to my satisfaction. The Screen is bright with very crisp picture.It The keys feel good smooth and it’s not too heavy even though it has the 17.3 in screen.Even with a weaker WIFI signal it still runs faster than my old setup. I am happy with my purchase.
