I took everything out of the box (controller, dongle, tiny booklet, feedback paper), and inserted the dongle into the USB port. Once I added batteries (not included), I pressed the home button (the big circle in the middle) for several seconds, and it connected instantly. I tested it on GRID 2, a favorite Steam game of mine, and it worked flawlessly with no lag.The construction is solid. It has weight, and feels well made. The controls aren’t finicky, either. A slight turn of the left stick is a slight turn in the game. Light presses on the right trigger will create slow accelerations in the game. In other words, it works exactly as it should. I haven’t owned it long enough to give you a review on the battery life (the little booklet says 20 hours for vibration feedback games, 90 hours without), but if it’s not good, I’ll certainly update this review. As it stands, I can safely recommend this controller for all of its other pros. So it gets a tentative 5 stars. We’ll see how the battery life works out over the course of this week, as I’m using cheap batteries, and want to see what it can do on those.

I had to search through a lot of controllers to filter through all the paid reviews trying to look like paid reviews but doing a terrible job of it. I’ve been using this for about a week and a half and I really like it. No noticeable latency when playing, great range, feels like it’s made of good material, very comfortable (more comfortable than the Switch Pro Controller in my opinion as a comparison). It takes 2 double A’s that don’t come with it, just buy a set of rechargeable ones for like 20 bucks. I like it through and through. I don’t expect any wear and tear issues, it doesn’t feel like cheap BS material. If I do have any complaints down the road, I’ll update this review but as of now I have none.

So far I am impressed with this controller. The initial one we received had problems, and the company sent a replacement with no hassle. We have been able to connect to the PC and the PS3 with no issues. The batteries last about 2 days with continuous play. We invested in rechargeable batteries and just switch them out when needed. At first, I was disappointed in it having to take batteries, but the it’s actually been easier then having to recharge using a cord. We all know over time, the charging port stops working on a lot of devices. This bypasses all of that. The rechargeable batteries make it very cost effective (highly recommend). The controller itself has performed flawlessly and is well made- sturdy.

I recently acquired a PS3. Initially, It did not come with original controllers. I purchased a number of aftermarket controllers (Apower, Bek, and a PS4 Controller). The first two had dead spots on the thumb sticks (i.e. a little movement yielded no movement, and moderate movement caused dramatic movement). This made FPS game very difficult. The PS4 controller had no vibration capabilities, but it worked slightly better than the other two. However, it still had a slight lag to the thumb sticks. The EasySMX controller worked MUCH better than the other three. No dead spots, and the latency was barely noticeable. I eventually got an original PS3 controller, and the difference is negligible.I did plug the controller into my PC (Windows 10) to play Steam Games. It works fine

This is the first and best generic Xbox gaming controller for PC I’ve ever owned. At first, I was gonna go with GameSir but then I saw this and I had to give it a try. Best investment I’ve made. It’s very durable, has a nice grip, textures, and the controls feel so good to use. It does not feel cheap either. It’s very easy to use once you got set up. Just put batteries in, plug the USB in (no drivers needed), power on and play! The indicator light shows you when it’s on as well and it’s nice to look at night. One of the best features I like about this controller is being able to use and customize the controls using the free software “JoyToKey” which you can download and it’ll detect your key mappings for you to configure for different games. Another key feature is the turbo button included on the gamepad which lets you use rapid fire on any button you held the turbo button with. This is extremely useful for shooting games or mouse clicking simulators if you’re into that as well. It has really helped me get an edge in the competition of PC gaming.

I now have two of these controllers that were purchased roughly six months apart and can say without a doubt they are a very well made copy of an Xbox 360 controller. I have purchased Microsoft controllers in the past and have had issues where, new out of the box, one button was slightly unresponsive, or there was play in the joysticks. The buttons on the two SMX that I have purchased are identical in pressure when new, and when broken in they are still very responsive. Good reception and battery life as well. The only controller that is better performing are the $100+ Microsoft Pro controllers or the PS4 controllers, the latter of which is often a pain to connect to non-Steam games. At $20 the SMX one fifth the cost of a Microsoft pro, or half the cost of a PS4 controller, so I don’t worry about taking it on a plane or letting my 7 yr. old nephew hammer on it when playing a game.

I purchased these two controllers to replace an old controller I had, and didn’t want to spent the money on another “name brand.” I have been very pleased with these controllers, though if I am to offer some criticism, I will say that if they were just a tiny bit larger, they’d be perfect. But I have larger hands than the average person, so I imagine that most people will be fine with these. Finally, Amazon is asking me to rate 3 categories for this product: 1) Value for Money, 2) Sheerness, and 3) Thickness. What does sheerness and thickness have to do with a PC gamepad?!?

I purchased this for the sole purpose of using it on my Raspberry PI with Retropie installed and I am not disappointed. So much that I bought my brother one for his PI! I originally tried a bluetooth controller but it did not work properly so I decided to give this a try and it works great. Initially it works out of the box. Besides the regular configuration (Start->Configure Input), you also have to configure via retropie config and map the buttons. You are also able to add a few lines of code in the config file to enable the analog thumb sticks in all games. Open /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg in vi and add the following lines to the bottom of the file:input_player1_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player2_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player3_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player4_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player5_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player6_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player7_analog_dpad_mode = “1”input_player8_analog_dpad_mode = “1”I have the Nespi Case+ (Small Nintendo looking case) and was able to put the USB stick for the controller inside of the case so that I don’t have to worry about it and it fits great. I used one of these to make it fit in the case – https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DPQ84R2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This controller comes in a nice box. It reminded me of a XBox 360 controller when I first saw it. I’m not the big gamer in the family. I originally purchased this for my husband but I think I may use it as well! He has been wanting to play video games on the pc. I was able to set it up fairly easy and it connected with no issue to my pc. My husband was like a young boy again playing his racing game! The controller has a nice feel to it. We love the design and colors as well!

Look i’m not a professional gamer or anything but i wanted a cheap alternative to an xbox 360 controller for PC gaming and this thing delivers fully. I have 2 other official xbox controllers from different eras (one with grey trim, one all black) and this might actually be my favorite of the 3. While playing there is absolutely nothing to remind you this is not a full on 360 controller. no bugs or problems, just works, plug and play, feels great. No i’m not related to this company at all, it’s just that good for a generic product, or for a brand name product for that matter. Paused my current game of “Tokyo Xanadu” to write this review when i realized i had been using this for months and it has been reliable and satisfying to use. I’m sure I have a few hundred hours on this thing already, and it’s working like the day i received it in the mail.
