Sounds great. Good quality for the price. Solid low end. Co workers say it sounds like a club in the office. As with any speaker, positioning, placement and reflective surfaces significantly affect the audio frequencies we hear. Multi room feature connects multiple Harman Kardon speakers, in sync with no delay. This feature even allows me to connect my HK Onyx speaker with my JBL Charge 3! (HK & JBL brands are both owned by the same company)

The sound quality of this thing is incredible. I work in a kitchen and there is always music playing on personal Bluetooth speakers. Most are standard quality so you can tell when certain people bring the good ones. One day I heard deep bass coming from across the kitchen as if someone was driving by with a serious sound system in their car. I walked toward the sound to investigate and I was floored when I walked in and saw one of these creating bass you could feel, and in was not plugged in to anything. I immediately looked for it on Amazon and bought it and I have not been disappointed. I play old school bass tracks on it and everyone who experiences it is also blown away.

I’ve had my Onyx for about 3 weeks and use it daily. This is the most dynamic sound I’ve ever heard from a Bluetooth speaker. I have a JBL and an Oontz that are far more potable, but most of the portability I need is limited to my house, garage and pack patio.Although the JBL and Oontz are great speakers, I really found myself craving something with more dimension, crispness and clarity (15 years in the car audio business. I’m definitely an audiofile).The Studio 4 blew away my expectations. The bass is absolutely amazing. Some might think it’s a little too deep upon first sampling it, but don’t sweat it. Most of my music is streamed from Spotify, via my iPhone. If that’s your case, don’t be afraid to get into the app’s equalizer and tune it to your preferences.Wish I would’ve gotten this Harman Kardon years ago!

A musician friend turned me onto this bluetooth speaker. I was stunned by the presence of the sound and the way it can fill a room. The bass response is excellent. It is in a different class from most of the portable bluetooth speakers out there. It pairs easily with iPhone, iPad, Samsung TV and MacBook (can you tell I have paired it with everything in my house?). I own this speaker in generation 2, 3 and 4. All are great, with minor improvements as it evolves. You will not be disappointed….

I was skeptical after reading reviews that people were send a used speaker but since we have Prime and it was free shipping and return I took a chance. I had an original HK speaker and dropped it when I took it to work for an office party years ago. It still worked but over time it started to cut out while streaming music from my phone.I received and brand new HK Studio 4 speaker and what a difference in the sound! I was amazed how clear it was and I even had to turn the volume down it was way louder than my older one. Since we started working from home I have moved it into our makeshift office and it has been the best speaker for listening to streaming radio, Spotify, or just music from my phone.

Well, Bose just lost a customer! HK Onyx 4 sounds just as good as the old SoundLink (1,2 & 3) portable BT speakers!For the price the HK is a no brainier. It has the warm, clear, sharp sound of quality speakers. I got two, paired them with the HK connect app, all I can say is outstanding! I listen to 80’s-90’s country at low to mid volumes. Get this speaker, you wont regret it. Yes, I paid full price for both, no contact with HK.

I’ve had mine for about 8 months now and while I have had HK Onyxs before they were all the minis not the studio. The studio delivers great sound quality and enough bass to disturb my whole house. Its pretty loud so I never have to turn up the music beyond half way. I rarely use this in public because of how big and loud it is but on the occasions where it was appropriate to bring it everyone was impressed with the sound quality and battery life. The speakers bass is increased when its plugged in, a fun trick.

I thought the first one was great (which after 3 years still works great), but OMG, this one sounds so good, it makes you want to walk inside the speaker and EXPERIENCE the sound in real life. The BASS is REDICULOUS! They outdid themselves on this one. The price is actually cheaper than the first one was when it initially came out. I highly recommend it. I say go on an buy a pair because you can join them to play music simultaneously inside and out from ONE device. I am going to sell my #1 to buy a new one so I can do just that!. It also has an AUX jack which I needed for my OLD Apple Ipod which does not have blue tooth capabilities . Its awesome.

The sound is excellent! I used to be loyal to JBL, but their portables just don’t compare to the sound. Yea theses are not waterproof and the battery life isn’t as good, but I’m huge on Quality clear sound and HC Onyx delivered. Two of these connected through the App in stereo mode sound amazing. Nice deep bass with crisp clear highs. Super happy with these portable speakers. They sound awesome on my deck or around my fire pit. Linking them together is simple too. The speakers have a high quality solid construction to them. Even one on its own sounds great!
