I am in college and my parents wanted me to help them pick out a new, larger TV since they were having trouble seeing their 45″ TV from across the room. I told them I definitely wanted them to get a Roku OS because I have one and I feel like it would be easy for their first smart TV. I hadn’t really heard much about Hisense TV’s but it was for a good price. Now, two months later, They love it! The size is great for their issue seeing the screen and the Roku system was so easy for them to use.I recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a larger smart TV that is easy to use!

I bought TV from another source (not amazon) online.My existing TV was Sharp acquous 1080p that I purchased in 2008 for about $1800/- and it provided flawless service till date. I had always been double minded whether to replace it or not because it’s performance had been so satisfactory then I felt that it will be just a waste of money to replace it, however 10 years had passed so I wanted some change too in order to keep up to date with technology. During my search for next TV main criteria was best return for my investment, I wanted to spend minimum and get maximum out of it. Bigger screen then existing, 4K, HDR, TV tuner for over the air antenna, full array back-lit led, smart tv so that I don’t have to plug in external devices like roku, amazon fire stick etc. After all the reviews and research I zeroed down to two TVs a) Hisense 65R6D and TCL 65 P series. Both TVs have exact same technical features but later I learned that TCL canceled the manufacturing of 65 P series and was offering C series (with edge lit) and that too at couple of hundred higher price to this TV. It was like buying less for paying more so this lead to the choice of just this one TV only.After zeroing down on this TV my second criteria was reliability and I had no exposure to this company’s products so far. During my research on net I found about 30 complaints logged by various customers of past model but not a single complaint on this model. On the contrary there were several good reviews for this model which increased my confidence to take a risk and see how it goes.At this point I made my decision and placed the order. It took about two weeks for TV to arrive at my home. It was well packed in original box with everything in nice good condition. I unhooked the older TV from wall and install this one with only attachment of HDMI cable and RF antenna (since I have a roof top antenna installed in attic of my house). Installation was quick and simple. TV updated it’s software when powered on and then went through all Roku applications install as well as searched for over the air signals from antenna without any issue. It took some time for all of these updates (like about 30 minutes overall).On completion of setup I started testing contents of 4k and 1080P on Netflix, Youtube etc. as well as over the air channels and I was really stunned with amazing clarity and quality of the display. This TV technically may not be at same level as some of the premium TV in market like LG, SAMSUNG or Sony but I guess you need highly sophisticated machines to figure out those differences since to my naked eyes quality of the display was at par with the premium brands. It was a day and night difference in contents quality comparing it with the old Sharp TV it replaced. I could find really nothing wrong or lacking in any area whether it was picture quality or sound. Felt amazingly good over my investment, though my wife did not like that it was not paper thin. I felt it difficult to explain that full array backlit TVs cannot be paper thin but for her it was kind of deal breaker. Anyway except this one point rest everything on this TV turned out to be best in class.Overall if it continues to perform like the way it is performing now for atleast 3 years then I will consider I got the best ROI and will be ready to replace it with OLED (hoping they will be able to fix the screen burn out issues by then) or whatever technology is current at that time.I believe this company is purposely keeping the prices so low for such a high quality and feature rich product so that it can enter the market and crush the competitors quickly. I could think of any other reason on why the price will be so low on this TV.Anyway these are some of my initial observations so far. I am planning to keep this TV’s box safe in basement for about 1 year just in case it fails and I need to pack and return it back but I hope that does not happen to it. If it happens I will be returning back on this review for sure.

Love this TV great deal I love the pause over the air live tv all you need is a 16 GB USB drive and a good antenna and you’re all set and the Roku operating system is the best and looks amazing and very happy my purchase, this company is getting better and they even make their own phone. The delivery was great and they call you before they deliver it and it was double boxed it was packaged very well I was nervous because this is my first time buying a TV online but I’m glad I did
