This little speaker packs a punch!! I drive a truck over the road and some of the different company trucks get crap signal. This thing has been a lifesaver for music!!! It’s loud even with the windows down in the rig. Wheather you listen to country music or rock, this thing plays with amazing quality.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I have not tested the waterproof aspect of the speaker yet but I’m so impressed with the sound quality/battery life that i gave it a 5 star across the board.

Bought this for $100 when it came out; I have no regrets even though it’s $90 at the time I’m writing this. I never thought such a small bluetooth speaker can put out such great volume. It’s incredibly simple to use. The buttons are very responsive — a huge improvement to its predecessor, the Flip 4. No headphone jack sadly, but the improved sound tradeoff is worth it, in my opinion. If you insist on keeping the jack, the Flip 4 is still a very good option. I’ve put the battery to the test and I indeed hit about 11 hours before it looked like the battery was on the low and needed a recharge. This little beast is fitting for work or as replacement desktop speakers, which is what I’m currently using them for half the time 🙂 In any case, you can’t go wrong with this option.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  So far I love it. Have the flip 4 and charge 3 and this one out does both. It’s a bit bigger then the flip 4, but not much and has great balanced sound.

After reading a handful of reviews that were based on people upset about emotional aspects of the speaker… ie it won’t connect to their flip 4 speakers. Whatever. I looked past that and am glad I went with the 5. The sound quality is superb. The bass response is indeed superior to the 4 as well as the battery life. At the same price point of 100 dollars its a no brainer. The Flip 5 is a superior model in all aspects. This speaker far, far exceeded my expectations. This speaker is stupid loud – and crisp at that. I work in an automotive shop and I keep my volume at 25% in my station. Phenomenal sound, phenomenal quality, could not be happier. I highly recommend.

I had a Flip 2 for about 7 years and decided to upgrade. The sound and quality on the 5 is far superior. The sound is clear, crisp, and clean. The quality is not lost at max volume which is LOUD. I keep it at about a quarter volume and it vibrates my desk. My favorite feature on the 5 is the idle shut off. I’m notorious for forgetting to turn the power off. So, this helps save battery life! The charging bar is also much easier to see on the 5. A solid window has replaced the 5 little blinking lights. The battery holds for at least 12 hours. I go my whole eight hour work day plus evenings as I fall asleep. If you are looking for high quality look no more. JBL is one of the best speakers on the market and their Flip Bluetooth speakers are no different!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Â The speaker itself is really loud. As you can see in the video, I barely have this turned up and the speakers on the side are bouncing. Changing the song forward is really easy, just push the play button twice (double tap). The only thing you can’t do is change it back. I can have my phone away and I’m still able to turn the volume up or down with just pushing the buttons of the speaker. You’ll see that I have a case on my speaker, it’s the RichSmile Silicone Carrying Travel Case for JBL FLIP 5 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker. Even with the case on, it doesn’t alter the sound that comes out of this thing. I haven’t tested the waterproof on this however, I have taken this at the beach and in the mountains and the sound on this is amazing. Easy to connect to either types of phones and even tablets. Really am amazed with the sound quality on this speaker.

Really nice little speaker, puts out a good sound for such a small package. Feels durable when carrying it around from place to place. It could be louer, given it’s price., however the quality of the sound makes up for it. Bluetooth connectivity was great and easy to hook up to your phone. Battery life is ok, max volume will eat it up in about 10 hours. I just wish the speaker had the software to allow its battery indicator show up on my notification bar like other cheaper ones have done.

I was skeptical but this little thing exceeded my expectations by far over 1000 percent.Astounding quality, gorgeous color, and the sound quality is extraordinary.If you really want to test thing out, play something by Billie Eilish, the base is incredible. 5/5 stars.

This is my first Bluetooth speaker and I’m really enjoying it. I downloaded the JBL app, it was super easy to connect to my phone, and I use Spotify normally as I would, but I choose the Flip speaker as the sound output. Super easy and a lot of fun.It fits nicely in my bike water bottle cage. I am using the Profile Designs Kage, this bottle cage completely surrounds a bottle (or the speaker).
