I workout in the early morning and have always had a hard time waking up to the point of having a solid workout. Just too early for my body/muscles. I’m very health conscious so it was tough to decide on taking a pre workout supplement but found this to be a good option, with being all natural.. I took 1 scoop 15 minutes before workout and with 30 minutes i felt great! I had the best workout I’ve had in so long. My muscles wanted to workout, not go back to bed! No jitters, didn’t feel abnormal. The only thing i felt were warm tingling/prickly on parts of my body. Im gonna drop down to a half a scoop and see if i can get close to that same pump with less of the tingling. Also it taste great!Highly recommend!

As an advanced lifter (3+ years) I was struggling to move past my plateaus in basically all of my lifts. I lift 5-6 times a week and couldn’t figure out why I was stuck. I came across the Muscle For Life website and read through a bunch of their articles and was blown away by the amount of mistakes I was making in my training. If you are like I was, I would recommend visiting their website as Michael Matthews (the founder) explains training and diet techniques and principles in an easy to grasp, concise manner while staying grounded in REAL, proven science. I have been following his website for about a month and have already broken through my plateaus. Now why am I mentioning all of this in my review for this preworkout? Because it is important to understand that the mastermind behind all of this, Michael Matthews, knows his stuff and will not feed you “bro-science” or give you false promises. His preworkout Legion uses only scientifically proven to work ingredients and gives full (if not more) doses to ensure you are getting enough to benefit.Yes, this product has a premium price, but to me it is worth it because I get great workouts and performance when using this and can definitely notice a difference between this and other preworkouts. I have tried Pre-Jym and while that is a good choice, I will say that after trying this I will not go back. The only thing I would wish for is for Legion to release a version with half or no caffeine, as 350 mg every day will buid your tolerance quickly. Also, do not expect this to be a “miracle” product. It can boost performance and give you a slight edge, but proper training and diet are FAR more important and will make a MUCH bigger difference. Do yourself a favor and start following Muscle For Life and Michael Matthews if you are tired of fake “bro-science”. You will get better results.TL;DR: If you have the money for a premium preworkout, look no further. This simply outclasses anything else out there, with no useless filler ingredients.

Long time NO-Xplode user but the prices just seemed to keep going up so I decided to try something new. The stuff works so why change, right? I listen to Mike Matthews’ podcast which i think is great so i decided to give their pre-workout a try.THE GOOD: – First of all the ingredients list is very simple, straight forward, and easy to read. No “proprietary” blend BS. What you see is what you get. The mix is put together with the most up to date research as posted on their website.- I took one scoop to test the effects and it delivers a solid punch of energy. I am not sure i am going to take the recommended two scoops as it may be over kill. One scoop has 175mg of caffeine so you are getting a good boost from that if nothing else.- Product contains no creatine unlike NO-Xplode. When i take NO-Xplode my stomach will get upset and i believe this is due to the creatine. So far with Pulse no upset stomach feeling which is great.THE BAD- The only bad point so far is the taste is a little bitter (fruit punch). I think this may be due to the high citruline content but honestly i can live with it. NO-Xplode (fruit punch) taste better but the citruline content is basically nonexistent compared to Pulse.

I ordered this pre-workout a month ago, and I am a regular gym goer and am there at least four times a week. When I first went to order this, I wanted to know how it compared to other pre-workouts such as C4 or MP Assualt and other cheaper products. I couldn’t find any reviews with this comparison, so I am going to do it my analysis for people.First off I want to say that I have been using pre-workouts for the last 8-12 months and I have used two of the more common ones. The first one I used was C4 while the second one I used was MP Assualt. Both were excellent products, and I would recommend them to someone that’s on a budget. What I have learned from my experience using pre-workouts is both C4 and MP are good economical choices, but the ingredients are nowhere near as helpful and of quality in this pre-workout. I always feel mentally focused, excited, and most importantly, my body feels good when I drink it. It doesn’t upset my stomach like other pre-workouts such as C4. It gives me incredible energy throughout my entire workout and helps me push my body in a safe, effective way.I have been recommending this product to all of my friends as a primary recommendation. While it is more expensive in my eyes if you are planning to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, you should be spending money on something nice. YOU ARE INVESTING IN YOURSELF, TO IMPROVE YOURSELF AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER. All I can say is spend the money as it only is an extra $20 a month it is worth it.Overall this product is excellent, and I love it, I will be buying all my future products from here as its worth the extra cash. If you are starting out and can stay committed I recommend this because even on days you don’t want to go to the gym all you have to do is drink this, and now you feel ready to go!!!Lastly, the only negative thing I have to say is, I wish I didn’t get the blue raspberry. Honestly, it is not a good flavor, and I wished I had ordered another flavor….. However, lesson learned and I’m hoping someone reads this and doesn’t make the same mistake as me 🙂 Minus the taste of mine 10/10 would recommend!

Most of the complaints i’ve seen regarding Legion Pulse is the high levels of Beta-Alanine (aka- the tingles!). Some people love the tingly/itchy feeling associated with beta-alanine and some people can’t stand it…all about preference I suppose. I’m indifferent really and to me, I definitely get that tingly feeling when taking this pre-workout but its not overpowering or bothersome like I expected once I read some of these reviews. I feel that it is just the right amount honestly. All of my workouts have been great! I’ve had good, sustained energy yet it wasn’t extremely intense and I am still able to sleep just fine at night. I’ve had a few pre-workouts that were so overpowering that I would be super shaky and nasueous. Pulse is nothing like that! My girlfriend tried some of mine and also loved it. We both LOVE the Pink Lemonade flavor! We’ve noticed that since using the product, we’ve been wanting to overstay our welcome at the gym haha and the intensity of our workouts have definitely increased. She actually had to tell me to take some rest because I was going exercise to exercise without resting! Talk about a superset!BONUS: I only need to take one scoop at a time. So, 21 servings actually becomes 42 servings!!! STEAL!Overall, I’m extremely happy with the product!

I like this product. After taking it, wait 15-20 minutes and you’ll feel the urge to jump into the gym. (Literally urge to jump to the gym). And finish all your scheduled work out for the day. I really feel more concentrated when working out. I think it vasodilates vessels in you brain which makes you more focused. I’m pretty sure this will work also when you are reviewing/studying for your boards (with small dose) (I wish I had this back then when I took mine😁).Now after the work out is another important thing you should also consider when taking supplements like this. This PULSE DOES NOT MAKE YOU FEEL DRAINED AFTER WORK OUT. Which is very good. Unlike the others I’ve tried, you don’t have enough energy to continue your day. This one feels like more steady strength physically throughout the day but the urge mentally to do stuff and finish it, is strong.Another thing, after a few weeks of taking it I feel like I need to take more, maybe it’s just my body getting used to it. No big deal.

The taste isn’t the best, but it’s do-able and I didn’t buy it for the flavor, I bought it for the effects. It is a clean “high”. And with this pre-workout I am able to tell the difference; the main thing I notice is that I’m able to endure the ‘burn’ for a longer duration (probably due to the increased oxigen flow to the muscles that this was formulated to do). It also makes be feel like I can move more rapidly, as if the air around me is thinner.I’ve also noticed that although my workouts have been more intense, I seem to be substantially less sore afterwards.I have only used one scoop at a time so far, and that’s just enough for me.Overall, I can tell that this improves my workouts. I would recommend this over the Amino Energy pre-workout (because I have tried that one and I had to return it because I didn’t like how it had artificial components and it didn’t even seem to do anything for me.)One last thing: when I first tried it, I noticed a very slight warm tingling sensation around my neck and lower face about 15 minutes after I took it. This went away once I started my workout.Once again, I would highly recommend this!

Last Saturday was the first time I used Pre-Workout since early 2015. I took about a year off from pre-workout, because I thought it was messing with my sleep cycle. So, they say 90% of Heroin overdoses happen because once a sober addict relapses, they use the typical dosage that used to get them high back when they were chasing the dragon on the reg. Their bodies don’t have quite the tolerance they once had, and a sudden high-dosage rocks the system and they’re on a Mach-3 bullet-train to being dead.Anyhow, that’s pretty much what happened to me this past Saturday. I woke up at 8:00 am sharp, dying to light the fire before my morning fasted-cardio. I grabbed by tub of engine powder (I got green-Apple, which is great because it reminds me of this candy I used to buy from BlockBuster as a kid), and threw a few rounded scoops into my water and chugged it down in front of the mirror.Game time, baby.Except, right there on the label it says not to exceed two scoops of this high-octane jet fuel. Which I think I may have doubled. The drive to the gym was interesting, because I was already sweating and my face felt like it was wrapped around a skull made of boiling magma.I got to the gym around 8:35–or at least I think I did. I’m not sure, because my brain had entered a timeless 4th dimension of consciousness, and the only thing I could see was mile-long treadmills and mountains of weight stations.I figured at this point, I may be in the market of burning off some of this energy before I blasted off into orbit. I chose a treadmill, which I typically hate doing, and began to run.1 mile down. “Humph. That usually makes me tired…”2 miles down. “I should pick up the speed!”4 miles in. “This isn’t hard enough I need a bike.”I jumped off the treadmill and euphorically skipped over to the stationary bikes, where I decided to pedal in the highest resistance until I could hear color and smell sound.I got off the bike and realized that I had burned off enough energy to maybe be ready to de-evolve into a normal person again… But as soon as I caught my breath, I was hungry for what was next.I murdered my leg-day so brutally that Netflix wants to do a mini-series about it.I worked out twice more that day because I had the energy to. I also cleaned my apartment, worked on a jigsaw puzzle, won an argument with my girlfriend, and lost my wallet. Not sure if that last part was relevant, but I took some more of this Pulse preworkout like 15 minutes ago and it kicked in like half way through this.Rating: 9.89/10 heart murmurs

I have never taken pre work out before but have been recently taking my fitness goals serious and decided to try supplements. This product is great. I was able to increase my weights significantly and not even feel a struggle. Although I hate that itchy tingly skin feeling, this is a sign of quality ingredients and that it is working. Also, being someone who deals with anxiety, I was nervous to try any stimulant but I experienced no jittery nervous feelings which makes me a happy customer.

A quick overview of the ingredients:Caffeine – a powerful stimulant for both physical and mental alertness and performanceCitrulline and ornithine – key components in nitric oxide metabolism which decreases fatigue by increasing blood vessel size and flowBeta alanine – reduces lactic acid production (alleviates the burning feeling in muscles during exertion), but creates tingly sensation on your bodyTheanine – alleviates side effects of caffeinebetaine anhydrous – typically used to treat homocystinuria, in here probably used for methionine production for muscle synthesis. Also, a few studies suggest 3~4% increase in peak power when used. Still, considerably a less important ingredient compared to the others.Stevia: for sweet taste to mask otherwise bitter tasting ingredients*3 major ingredients that really matter: Caffeine, citrulline, beta alaninePros:1. Performance: Pulse should work for most people, ranging from weight lifters to runners / cyclists / other cardiovascular workout enthusiasts.2. Dosage: Contains recommended dose (or more) for each ingredient appropriate for workout enhancement purposes, whereas some other pre-workout brands often contain a fraction of the recommended dosages.3. Convenience: You don’t have to buy and mix each and every one of them. You don’t have to calculate or measure micro ingredients.Cons:1. Cost: $39.97 for a 1.25 lbs jar is rather pricey. If you want to sacrifice the convenience, you can buy the ingredients in bulk and make your own pre-workout for much cheaper.2. Caffeine: 350 mg of caffeine per 2 scoops. 175 mg per 1 scoop! That’s almost 4 cans of mountain dew in every scoop! You are going to build up caffeine tolerance if Pulse is taken regularly, and if you feel like Pulse is no longer working for you a while, (or if you think Legion somehow changed Pulse’s formula, etc), it could very well be a caffeine tolerance in reality. You can reverse caffeine tolerance by taking 1~3 weeks of break from caffeine, but that means you can’t take Pulse (and other non-caffeine ingredients in Pulse) during that time. However, I decided to not take a star off because other top two pre-workout competitors have equal or more amounts of caffeine.Neutral:1. Taste: Tastes okay for me. About 8 parts apple juice taste, 1 part ‘medicinal’ taste, and 1 part bitterness. However, Pulse still subjectively tastes better than, say, most whey protein mixes I’ve tried. Also, adding more water helps to make the taste better.2. Tingly sensation: This is due to the presence of beta-alanine. Because people tend to take stars off from this issue, some (less popular) pre-workout manufacturers started to remove beta-alanine from their pre-workouts. The tingling sensation is harmless, and beta-alanine is too good to dismiss just because of the tingling.Edit: turns out even if you mentally/subjectively do not feel the effects of caffeine anymore, it still boosts your performance nontheless;[Gonçalves et al. “Dispelling the myth that habitual caffeine consumption influences the performance response to acute caffeine supplementation” journal of applied physiology 2017.]
