Product was delivered on time, in great shape. This is LG’s flagship 2019 Nanocell model, not an OLED, but a great picture regardless. Set up was fairly easy…its a big TV need two people to safely move, etc., but instructions are clear. I have wide seating (high angle viewing) in a bright room and this TV is perfect. Colors and image look wonderful on Nat’l Geographic Nat’l Park show; looking forward to live sports soon! HDMI 2.1, HDR 10, Dolby Atmos, it has all the bells and whistles. Very happy and got a stunning deal (this TV’s MSRP was $2699 in summer of 2019 and most places still have it at $1999)…its presently only $13 more than the same size SM9000, that’s a no brainer. Jump on this deal for a very nice TV.

I have a 2017 55″ LG Nanocell, so naturally when I was looking to get a larger TV for my living room, this was a my starting spot. Other considerations were the Sony X950G and the Samsung Q70R. The TV sits in the corner, at about a 45 degree angle, with 2 couches off angle…no real good center view from the seating config we have, and it’s a really bright room – lots of naturally light coming from nearby windows. So, good off-angle viewing and good performance in bright room setting were requirements (LG’s IPS panel perform better in this setting than Sony or Samsung’s VA panels). Additionally, the LG TV stand fits on the stand I have, whereas the Sony and the Samsung would not have, and i didn’t want to bother with wall mounting in the location I have the TV – this was another consideration. Being familiar with the webOS and loving the interface made me lean toward the LG too, as well as satisfaction with my prrior LG model (2017 SJ8500). LG TVs are generally reliable as well, and the SM9500 was slightly cheaper than the 2 other options. Obviously I went with the LG. It’s hard to say how the Sony or Samsung would or wouldn’t perform with wide off angle viewing and a bright room, but I’m very satisfied with the LG performance for the price. It’s obviously not LGs base model, or “cheap” but the price on Amazon ($1200) was cheaper than Sony and Samsung and $700 cheaper than LG’s cheapest 65″ OLED. Its a good balance/compromise between cost and performance/features to me. The TV is bright, colors are vivid, and picture is clear. I’m sure you’ll find reviews about poor black levels, and some blooming. The black levels don’t bother me, but it’s probably harder to tell how deep black they are in the bright room setting. Blooming is noticable on certain Netflix menus where white text is on a black background (or any movie/show scene when white text is on black background…which is usually temporary), but I have not noticed it in any real viewing content. So, it doesn’t bother me or detract from any viewing experience. Ill also say that Im not much of a “videophile” and don’t microanalyze specs or bust out demo/test DVDs to find minor flaws in the picture. I have not noticed much dirty screen effect either. If it’s there, it’s so minor that it doesn’t catch my eye The TV just generally looks great, noticeably better than my 2017 55″ Nano (SJ8500), and I’m very satisfied for the price. Note, most of my viewing content is streaming YouTube TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Another note: the TV stand does appear like it wouldn’t quite cut it (I felt the same about the 55″ Nano, too) but it really is not an issue for me. If you bump into the stand, I’m sure the TV will wobble slightly, but it still feels pretty stable. Obvious solution is to wall mount.

Great addition to our tv room. Very large tv for our small office converted to a tv room. My wife has macular degeneration and the sharpness of the large picture on this tv greatly adds to the quality of her life. It may sound insignificant to you but it’s a big deal to her. Thank you LG.

Great TV for what we needed. We have a bright room and this TV looks wonderfully. The WebOS Apps work great ( but is missing HBO?) There is some blooming with white on black scenes but only if you watch in dark rooms. Works great with XBOX One X for gaming. I would choose this over the Samsung Q90 due to a significantly lower price and HDMI 2.1 included.

This TV is awesome. Crystal clear almost 3D picture in a stylish thin package. Smart apps and free LG content built in. Great remote with pointer and side angle viewing is incredible. Apps like Hulu sling etc along with LG content. This is usually a 500 to 800 upgrade from the Sm9000 TV but when I purchased on Amazon, it was only 14 dollars difference for my SM9500, It’s the best led TV LG sells. TV came in perfect condition and packaging. Can’t say enough about this TV, just awesome contrast, color, sharpness, smart features, looks, size, etc highly recommend!
