10 reviews for Marshall Kilburn II Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Black (1002634)

By far my favorite!!!!! Wireless speaker it does the job. I use it at work and this shit!!! Is loud I do like 13:30 hours at work per day and i dont have to Charge it for 2 days (( that’s only if I keep it low volume i get like 21 hours)) now if I play it loud I’m only going to get 10.30 or 11 00 hours that’s it. Overall I love this speaker I also own a Boses speakers as well and I want to say that both speaks sound great and good bass

  2. Roberto

Great sound and quality. Love the guitar-like sounds whenever you pair or unpair a device. Tough and durable. Love it!Update: After 4 uses the speaker stop working and now Marshall is processing my warranty inquire. Too bad it only lasted a monthUpdate: I calles marshalls technical service and in 7 days a new Marshall arrived all the way from Sweden. Really happy abt how they handle my issue. 5 stars!

For $300, you definitely get your money’s worth. I love a lot of bass and thump behind my music and the Kilburn 2 did not disappoint. Right out of the box it had somewhere between 4 to 8 hours of playtime. I usually take this thing to work or my tabletop gaming sessions for background music and it lasts well through the whole work day with plenty of juice left if i want to turn it on at home. This is a massive upgrade for me from the Soundcore Boost 2, which i thought was great but had a lot of issues with music that was moderately heavy on the bass. No problems here and loving it. It could potentially fit in a backpack if youre not packing a lot, but i typically carry it in a separate bag with my lunchbox as my backpack is usually full. Hats off to Marshall for this great little beast of a speaker.Edit: Saw a review that says this thing has no aux input. They clearly did not bother to look at the back fully to see where you can plug in a 3.5mm aux cable to connect to your phone or other device w/o bluetooth…

I am no audiophile so I will skip the tech stuff about woofers, tweeters, etc.I purchased this speaker to use in my home office connected to free music streaming on my cell phone. I was very, very pleased with the quality of the sound. My daughter-in-law referred to it as a “warm” sound. I was listening to soft music, big band backing up crooners.. Sinatra, Crosby, Krall, JD Lang, Bennett, etc. It sounds a lot more powerful than its size would suggest and this is based on the free version of the music streaming. I like the fact that it has a bass and treble control. Some speakers boast about loudness and water resistance, neither of which was important to me. I have not actually timed the battery life, but I suspect it is as advertised, and I’ve had no issues.I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the same uses in mind as I have had. If you want to blow the windows out, or throw it in the pool, you might to look at other speakers.

I have to admit I was skeptical when I took this speaker out of the package. Upon removing it, I was impressed with the solid craftsmanship and it looked tough. The real test was the sound. Pairing it to my phone and iPad was easy and I was able to play music immediately. The sound was perfect! Plenty of bass and no distortion. The treble was good, too. And, if it wasn’t, the bass and treble are easily adjusted. I love the simplicity of the speaker, too. Worth the price and I definitely recommend it.

I initially had a Bose Revolve+ because of the size and expectation it would be loud. The sound was good, but, to me, didn’t compare to the style and amazing sound of Marshall’s Kilburn II. The sound carried in a large room as I taught my Zumba Class. If I forget to charge, 20 minutes gives me a great boost and ability to play for over an hour. That said, this speaker plays long and strong. I love the easy to carry leather handle.

This speaker is amazing! It looks great and sounds great! The build quality is awesome. Overall, very satisfied with the battery life and how loud this thing gets for its size. Well worth the money!

I own both the Kilburn II and the Stockwell II. Both sound really nice. The kilburn II looks and feels to be about twice as large as the Stockwell. The Kilburn has a rich sound and is a bit louder. I do find myself using the Kilburn more often because it does not take up as much space and is easier to move around. I like these speakers because they focus on sound, build and efficiency. I did not want Amazon listening to everything I say or listen to what I play. The sound can be a bit boomy but with the bass and treble controls, you can manage that pretty well. A “bug” is that the volume control is not very sensitive near the bottom and is really sensitive near the top. These have class “D” amplifiers. Very accurate and very efficient, but take a little to get used to. It is a definite feature, but some people may think it is a fault…it isn’tI think that because they focus on making the best sound, that they really do. Highly recommended especially if you need to fill a big space with sound. If you are using in a dorm room or bed room, I would lean toward the Stockwell II.

Well I’ve had a lot of different bluetooth speakers and headphones. I don’t think I can say this is my favorite but it’s the one I’m keeping. Many others are lacking in some way, too big, too quiet, not enough bass, treble is too bright, etc. I know of other louder overall speakers. I know of ones with more bass, longer battery life… Etc. However this is the right amount of sound output, sound quality, battery life, portability, ease of use etc for ME. My lady gets frustrated with buttons and complicated pairing methods. Analog dials are easy for anyone and everyone.Sound it is a nice middle ground on a lot of things. It’s not over boosted anywhere and it sounds warm and natural to me.Loudness it goes just short of 100db. Come on… It’s a portable speaker. If you need more than that then a portable speaker probably isn’t what you really need any how.Distortion is minimal if non existent. Crank it up and let the good times roll. It’s a little expensive compared to other options but I like it’s build quality, I like it’s asthetic, I like its sound. It feels well made to me. It looks cool and a little different. I love how portable it is. 5 pounds is perfect. Grab, go, set, enjoy. Just that simple. I’ve tried all 3 of their bluetooth speakers and this is really the Goldie Locks of the set for me. Not too quiet, not too big, JUST RIGHT!Check it out. Not for you OK no problem all our ears are different but especially as a refurb this was a dealio! Get it. Buy it. Do it now! GET TO THE CHOPPA! DO IT NOW!

I have bought, tested, and returned a lot of bluetooth speakers on Amazon, and this speaker is PERFECT!!!If you are an audiophile, music producer, a perfectionist, or OCD when it comes to music, then you will not want to settle for anything less than this speaker. The bass response is super deep like 15 inch sub-woofers, and the highs are crystal clear with absolutely no distortion whatsoever at any volume. Not even a tiny hint of crackling or anything!!!When I listen to this speaker in my bedroom, I could feel the bass from across the room. And this speaker pushes A LOT of air out of the back bass port. The speaker can get super loud too!!! I hardly ever have to turn the speaker up past the halfway mark because of how loud it is.I mainly use this speaker all day everyday at work, on my forklift (and it fits perfectly on my forklift), in a loud warehouse, and this speaker still sounds perfect. There is no other word to describe it. It is just PERFECT. I am in love with it.The speaker is built like some heavy duty DJ gear. It looks like you are an ultra mobile DJ that is about to rock a party with this bluetooth speaker and some DJ decks. The volume, bass, and treble knobs feels like the knobs on some DJ decks too. And when I am listening to it, and adjusting the volume, bass, and treble knobs, it makes me feel like I am a DJ every time!!!All of my coworkers are always complimenting my speaker too, saying “It sounds really good. How much did you get it for?”, “It sounds beautiful!!!”, “Is that a real Marshall? Or does it just have the Marshall name on it?”, “Marshall is a good brand, they have been around for forever!!! They make guitar amps.”, “I am about to knock you over the head, and take that Marshall speaker from you. I want that speaker!!!”, “Damn!!! He has a Marshall speaker…. That thing is expensive!!!” Hahaha, like everyone loves it!!!I have watched tons of Youtube videos on “Best Bluetooth Speaker”, and read tons of articles on best bluetooth speakers, and I have bought and returned countless speakers that were supposed to be the best. I even bought the Audio Pro Bluetooth Speaker that won WhatHiFi’s award for best bluetooth speaker, and this speaker blows all of them out of the water!!! You could probably even use this speaker as monitors to produce music if you wanted to!!!I haven’t had any experience with Marshall amps before, but I have had Pioneer, and Numark Mixers and Decks and other DJ equipment, and you could tell just from the way this speaker is built, and from how perfect it sounds, that it was made by musicians for musicians…I love this speaker, and I would recommend it to all my family and friends, and everyone on the internet! If you are thinking about getting this, then do it. It is totally worth it.I give this speaker a 10 out of 10.P.S… A USB charging port on the back of the speaker to charge my phone would be nice… And also an SD card slot to play music files…
