Bought this for myself and the basic model for my husband. They arrived May 23, 2017. Work great so far. I much prefer mine since I can tell when the battery is low (red light lights up) and that I can use the different settings to brush. Oh and I also like the sleek look of this model. My husband on the other hand, has no care for fancy functions and doesn’t mind the basic model as long as it doesn’t cost him too much! Hahah. I see amazing improvements on his teeth–he smokes and this removes all the dark stains! So, if price is your concern, the basic model works well on that one mode. But if you’re like me, you’ll like this model :)Hoping we can use them for a long time. Will write another review when they break.

I have been using Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes for as long as 15 years. I don’t remember the exact year or model, although it was very much like a 1000, that I started with then. My first one lasted at least 10 years and still was working fine although some funny noises were coming from the body of the brush. Trying to find the problem, I destroyed the unit. For a short time I tried a battery powered unit but could not stand changing batteries all the time. I bought a 1500 to stay simple and it was on sale. I have used it for over a year now. Then I had a chance to buy an Oral-B smart 3000. This is great and FAST. It must be twice as fast as the 1500. I now use the two of them, one in the morning with a Cross action head and Colgate Optic white and the other one in the evening with a Sensi UltraThin with Colgate Sparkling white. My mouth is very happy!ps– I have not been able to use the Blue Tooth yet because the brush doesn’t seem to make itself findable to my smartphone.

I purchased this as a replacement for my Oral-B Pro 5000. The Oral-B Pro 5000 does a great job brushing teeth, but it lasted only a little more than a year. Since it was a gift, I never registered it nor did I have any proof of purchase so no warranty. The Oral-B Pro 5000 stopped charging, which has been the complaint of others. The Oral-B Pro 3000 came with a 2-year warranty, and I hope it lasts a lot longer than the Oral-B Pro 5000. The upgrade to the Oral-B Pro 5000 did not seem worth it to me. It gives a couple days of extra use between charges (but I leave it charged in) and do not need the extra days very often for travel and if I did bringing the charger is no problem. I never used the 3 different brushing options for the Oral-B Pro 5000 and believe that is more of a marketing gimmick.

I have gum recession from age and brushing too hard over the years. In addition, I have a weird problem called Burning Mouth Syndrome that causes all of the soft tissue in my mouth (gums, roof of the mouth, tongue) to swell and become inflamed. It’s been difficult to find a toothbrush that was gentle enough but still cleaned well. This toothbrush is amazing! I got the extra-soft heads, which added to the gentleness. Putting it on the gentle setting and paying attention to the light when it signals that I’m pressing too hard has been a game changer. My teeth feel professionally cleansed and my BMS is going down. I don’t really use the Bluetooth; don’t know why it’s there, to be honest. The charge lasts about two weeks. It’s important not to store it on the charging base. All-in-all, a fantastic product!

I am very happy with my new Braun Model 3000 electric toothbrush. It has three speeds. The charging base is compact, and *not* permanently attached to the separate white plastic tray that holds 4 tooth brushes. This is handy for families to economically use the same electric toothbrush, with just changing the brush itself. The tooth brushes have difference colored rings, so that family members can remember their own colors. The photograph shows all three units together (toothbrush, charging base, and toothbrush tray), but they are physically separate. That is good news when you travel, because the charging base is cleverly compact, and does not take up extra space in your bathroom travel kit. For a short weekend travel, it is not necessary to have the charging base; just leave it at home. The lithium battery in the handle of the toothbrush will last for several days without recharging.

6 months ago, I had sedation dentistry (at a new and highly rated practice) to correct a mouth full of old fillings, aging cracked crowns, root canals, and gum issues caused by poorly executed crowns that actually promoted pockets and mouth issues. I basically went to sleep early that morning, and woke up later in the day with a totally restored mouth. Last week I went back to my first check-up, and everything was nearly perfect. My hygienist cleaned my teeth and gums, and did not see any issues, but had a suggestion. She asked if was brushing with manual tooth brush, or an electric? Admittedly, I had been using a manual brush for the first few months, but switched to a cheap Oral B disposable battery brush.I also floss regularly with a Phillips Air Flosser, which my dentist recommended prior to the surgery. Doing all of this, I still had some tarter build-up, and could do better beneath the gum-line. My hygienist had two display models of cordless electric brushes; an Oral B model similar to this one, and a Sonicare. She did not recommend one over the other, but she did give the basic pros and cons of each. I verified this through research and settled on the Oral B 3000. I’m unsure if her display model is a 3000, we didn’t get into that, but the deciding factor for me was the shape of the head, oscillations, etc.I’ve used it regularly for about a week, and can attest that the Oral B 3000 is superior to manual brushing and flossing, or the drug store models with replaceable batteries. The short time between my dental cleaning, and using my 3000 for the first time, my teeth had already lost its smooth, slickly polished feel, which I did not notice until immediately after using the 3000. In one use, it was like my hygienist had re-polished my teeth. I also used the 45 degree angle along my gum line, which has tightened my gums even more. It also works well on my tongue, even though this model does not have some special “whoopdie-doo” setting for that.I’ve downloaded the Oral B App, and will play with it some, but I really don’t see the utility in it. The brush self-times each section of our mouth, which is in itself useful for ensuring you have spent enough time on each section. I do like the red pressure indicator light. I’m a firm believer that too much is too much. Some reviewers complain about the brush having a “jack hammering” effect in their mouth, rattling their teeth. I find this only happens if there is an excessive amount of pressure, or the hard plastic is hits your teeth – which almost never happens to me. Bottom line, I will be a lifelong user of cordless electric tooth brushes, and look forward to my next checkup – for the first time in over 30 years.

I could not be happier with this toothbrush! I first bought a sonic type, and it just vibrated. It didn’t feel like it was doing anything. Also, because of the larger size and because I have a small mouth, sometimes it would accidentally bang against my teeth. This one is perfect. I love that it oscillates and rotates instead of just vibrating like a sonic type. I don’t use the bluetooth, never will, don’t care about it. I got the 3000 instead of the 1000 for other features. As far as the reviewer that complained about the gunk collecting on the charger platform, yes it does a little, and you can simply wipe it off now and then–very easy to clean, comes right off with a tissue or whatever. My teeth are definitely whiter and cleaner than they have ever been. I actually love brushing now and can hardly wait for my next check up. The customer service is excellent. They will answer any questions and sent me coupons for discounts on replacement brush heads. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

I bought this to replace my old Oral-B that finally gave up the ghost. I really like the power of this one compared to the old one. They definitely improved the charging base, because now it collects any residual water still on the brush/handle on the base, rather than letting it dump all over the counter and leave nasty build-up. I like that the base is also removable from the brush-head holder tray, in case you don’t really need the holder or have to fit it in a tight spot.I have a Kohler lighted medicine cabinet that has an internal outlet, and the base of this fits just perfectly, even with the brush tray! So glad it fits or that would have defeated the point of the electrified medicine cabinet!Oh, and, by the way, my teeth are super healthy since I started using the Oral-B toothbrushes. The dentist remarks on my gum health, and no cavities or build-up. Definitely feels way cleaner than a manual toothbrush!I haven’t tried the Bluetooth junk. I wish they kept that crap out and just made it cheaper with the same motor/specs.

This is our third or fourth Oral-B. I like them. Their only downside is the battery wears out over time.I like that while this has a few bells and whistles, it is simple and easy to use. Hint to other users: Don’t leave it plugged in all of the time. Let it drain down before charging again and the battery seems to last longer over the months.

Ok. I waited over a month to give an honest review. This is my first “real” electric toothbrush I have owned, I say “real“ because prior to this I earned the quip toothbrush, which is really just in my opinion a starter version of an electric toothbrush. When I ordered my Oral-B Pro, I wasn’t sure that it would live up to its expectations, especially given the amount of negative reviews on here about it. Most of those reviews were predominantly about the battery life. Last week, my area was greatly affected by hurricane Isaias, we lost power for a total of 7 days. Suffice to say, that it was an extremely stressful time. As someone who has had extensive dental work done in the past, I take great pride in taking care of my teeth, and I was very concerned when the power went out, that my Oral-B brush would not last. Let me tell you! This brush held its charge for a total of seven days, and that is with me using it three times a day; once after breakfast, once after lunch, and one before dinner. 7 days! The battery held up, and gave me a fantastic clean. I was finally able to charge it last night, and I am extremely happy with it, and with the battery life. The Bluetooth connectivity seems to work well, although it’s not telling me if I press too hard in certain areas, when I check in the settings it says it’s not connected? But I find that a little strange. I’m not sure what’s happening there, I don’t press hard at all I really let the brush do all the work, it was something wanted to test, but it didn’t seem to show up at all in the brush overview. That would be the only thing I would say is probably not up to par. In terms of using the app and when to move to different quadrants of the mouth, that is fantastic!I like that it also tells you when you need to replace the brush head and that you can, if you want to, set up a replenishment for a new brush head. All in all I would say that if you are considering getting this electric toothbrush, but don’t have the money to fork out for a $200 Oral-B Pro brush. This is a great brush for the money. 🙂
