The Sonicare 1100 is a great toothbrush at a bargain price. It holds a charge for days of brushing so you can leave the charger home for weekend trips. Amazon has a wide variety of replacement heads available.I have used a different type brush for decades so it is taking a few weeks to adjust to the intense vibrations of the Sonicare. I need to remind myself to hold the brush lightly with my fingers and let the vibrations do the work. The vibration timer every 30 seconds is a helpful reminder to move to a new area. I suspect I was never staying in any section 30 seconds with my old brush.Other family members have Sonicare toothbrushes costing over $100. I am happy with my $20 Sonicare 1100.

Developing arthritis in your shoulders can create obstacles to many things you didn’t even think about doing. Some days I can barely get my hand to my face and manually using a toothbrush would not be easily possible. The Sonicare makes it possible to brush my teeth and actually I find it does a better job than I was previously doing. I wish I had tried this years ago. I purchased the cheapest one for two reasons: 1 – I didn’t know if I would like it or use it. 2 – A dentist on line talked about the Philips Sonicare being the best functioning electric toothbrush and all the Sonicare models function in the same way, the more expensive ones just have more bells and whistles. I’m old enough, I don’t need the extras.

The dirty little secret with these SonicCare brushes is the motors are similar in all SonicCare products. This model is a perfect value and the more expensive models ($25+) only have small additional features. I don’t care to tell me the battery life or fancy light up switches. I just need this to vibrate while brushing teeth and last about 14 uses before charging again. This product delivers and is perfect for my needs and the price is right! Buying a 10-pack of additional generic brushing heads is best way to go. They last longer than standard toothbrushes. Overall, I’m saving money and excited about brushing my teeth with a giant vibrating thing in my mouth.

A few months ago I bought an upper model of this toothbrush at about twice the price of this one, and I sure wish I’d noticed availability of this basic model before buying the more expensive one. Functionally it seems identical to the more expensive model, works the same, cleans effectively. It doesn’t have a few features of the upper model, like the small charging light, or the warning tone if you’re pressing too hard while brushing, or the light and tone to alert when it’s time to replace the brush head. To me none of these are important. It does give two beeps when placed on the charger so you know it’s charging, you should know anyway not to press too hard while brushing, and to know when to change the brush head you just look at it–it is has splayed bristles, change it. (I strongly recommend getting the larger brush head, the W3, because it cleans better than the small brush head it comes with.) At $25 this brush was such a bargain that I bought this second one just to keep on another floor of my house to eliminate the need to run upstairs to use the original one (awright, awright…). I believe battery capacity is identical to the upper model. However these Sonicare toothbrushes work so well at the important health aspect of oral hygiene that I consider even the twice-the-price model to be a bargain. I only got it a week ago and so cannot comment on durability, but I’d be surprised if it’s any different than the very good durability of the upper model. I’ve been using these for years and they are a quality product. I bought Sonicare because my dentist recommended it over other brands.

My wife’s Sonicare toothbrush recently gave out after many years of service. Found this replacement at a very low price. Works just as well in every way as the more expensive one it replaced. No reason to pay more unless it dies in 6 months which I don’t expect.

I’ve been using Sonicare toothbrushes for at least 10 years. Every once in awhile I will buy an off-brand for myself or my kids. My Sonicares last 3-5 years. After 1 year my off-brand wouldn’t turn on so I bought this. It works great. When I replace the brushes I scrub out and wash the inside. Maybe this is why the off-brand didn’t work…I run water right into my Sonicare with no problem. I really don’t notice any difference between the 1100 and other styles. I usually get them at Costco and they only sell 1 style (not this one.) This one is newer and takes different brushes than the other 4 of these currently in my household.

This is indispensable for me – I don’t feel half as good without using an effective electronic toothbrush, and my cleanings are always super easy. This new version is sleeker than the old one with no visible cracks to get grimy or for water to get inside the body. I wouldn’t travel with it because I’d have to bring the charger too (I can’t predict when it will run out but it might be a weekly thing? Also it’s pretty heavy and much more expensive than the free toothbrush I get from my dentist so I don’t want to risk it. But other than that I recommend it completely.

This is a replacement for my older sonicaire that always seem to build up funk no matter how often I cleaned it.The batter on this new one lasts more than a week.Brush size is similar small like others. I’d prefer a little bigger brush head but this works great for the price.

Bought this because I just had rotator cuff surgery on my dominant hand and found it very ackward brusingnmy teeth with my other hand. I just couldn’t get my teeth quite clean enough. This thing works great. Wish I would’ve bought one sooner!

I bought almost this exact same toothbrush years ago from my dentist for well over $100 and I loved it. In one of our moves, I lost the charging base and was really disappointed but had never replaced it. When I saw this Sonicare at this price, I jumped on it and ordered it. I’m so happy I did! I still had the toothbrush handle from years ago and they are almost identical. This has great features like the 30 second beeper telling you when to move to another area and the 2 minute auto shut-off which are what’s most important to me personally. It comes with one toothbrush head with soft bristles and is a perfect size for me. I definitely recommend getting this toothbrush because at this price it’s a steal!******I am updating my review nine months after my last review!! I noticed some complained about the brush head size, density and other items. I just wanted to give my thoughts because I’d hate for anyone to pass this up based on those reasons alone. ( I promise I don’t work for Sonicare, lol) I agree the brush head it comes with is extremely small and is soft bristled. This was okay for me as I have sensitive teeth but I totally understand where others would want a stiffer, larger brush. The pole the head sits on is definitely at an odd angle compared to the Sonicare I had before as it’s angled somewhat forward. However, I can honestly say that I have purchased Sonicare and generic replacement heads for this and they’ve all fit just fine. This also addressed the issue of the brush size because the replacements were larger. The other item I wanted to give an update on was the battery life. I always leave it plugged in so I never noticed how long it lasted until recently. (And I certainly didn’t travel this year!!) The outlet fuse where I keep my toothbrush had flipped and I forgot to tell my husband because we were so busy. This was over three weeks ago and my toothbrush just quit this morning after using it for two minutes every morning and night!! I still consider this a great purchase and highly recommend!! **** 1/11/2021
