I generally build my own PC’s, but I bought this system because I needed a new GPU. With the GPU market right now, it was spend $700 or $800 to a scalper for a 2070 or buy a whole brand new PC for $1400. I opted for the latter as it was a general upgrade. It’s the first PC I’ve bought prebuilt in 20 yrs.Yes, there are a few things I’d change. You’d get more USB Ports if you built one yourself as most mobos provide more than this comes with. Most cases have more front USB ports, but I’ll leave out the whole discussion on if it’s better to build your own or not, there. Right now, with GPU prices the way they are, I found this to be a good buy. I’ve had it a few months now and it’s performing well. I’m happy with the speed and it’s worked perfectly.Perhaps of less importance to some, it does look nice. The lights are bight, but not TOO bright. It’s just a real nice looking case and RGB set up.

Update: After being opened Christmas morning we got it all set up and my son has been gaming on it for hours and hours since. I’ve been impressed bwith how quick and snapping the system is, it’s very impressive.We bought this for my son (Style: Ryzen 7 | 512 + 1 | RTX 2070 SUPER) a few days ago. After purchasing I noticed every single review for this model (7 or 8 total) was newer and also stated they couldn’t get it to work with their hdmi/monitor etc.So when it arrived today I was a bit anxious to test it… I took it out of the box, plugged it in and used my Acer monitor I use for work to test it with the HDMI cable I use as well. Perfect, I went through the setup and then shut it down and put it all back until it’s opened again Christmas morning. I’ll update here after the 25th.

I have the 3070 and Ryzen 7 5800x. This machine ariived well packaged and well built. The problem lies in the case and the cooling, and that’s about it. I’ll be ordering a new case that’ll be better suited for cooling as well as buying one of those fancy shmancy 240mm dual fan + CPU Liquid cooler setups to replace the generic CPU cooler that’s non-RGB and less effective.I paid ~$1699 for the tower, and frankly the components in it are worth far more than this given the current crisis around GPUs, chips, etc. So spending an extra $200 to give these components proper cooling and sexy aesthetics? Sold. I’m down.My use: I am a software developer who games here n there. I use my CPU & RAM like mad, so this build immediately received a 3200hz pair of 16gb Corsair RGB Ram sticks. I had to remove a wonky metal plate that was separating the case and blocking big ram sticks from being installed. That was annoying. I’ll be using this to play APEX legends as well, but frankly this is a write-off for work and I needed a powerful tower rig. You can’t beat these components for the price.-Get a new case: This one has awful air flow… it’s literally a single 120mm non-rgb exhaust fan-Get yourself some real RAM. 16gb was a joke-Replace the CPU cooler. Regardless of whether or not you will push the CPU, you’ll wanna protect your investment with a proper cooling device.-Buy this rig and upgrade the setup…you won’t find a comparable price for all these components and frankly it’s the best value at this price point compared to other pre-builts. It’s a beast of a machine.

I bought this PC for work reasons, not for gaming reasons. I am a marketing professional who builds websites, designs print media, and edits video. I have a client which needed 18 videos edited within a week and a half and I knew my current system was already on it’s last legs. I needed a cheap upgrade to not only get me through this project but pay for itself in the long run. This computer fit the bill. Thanks to another reviewer I was able to learn the upgrade capabilities of the tower and hopefully I could help somebody here with some additional information.TL:DR in it’s stock form it’ll work admirably for professional work with Premier, Photoshop, and Browser open simultaneously. 20 minutes of complex edits takes 7 minutes or less to render. If you want to OC the PC to edge more performance there is certainly headroom to do so. Also, use the Plexiglass which comes with it. It’ll allow more ventilation than the metal side panel. You will need to purchase an additional hard drive for storage. SATA power cables are included. Purchase a SATA III data connection.The Noctura 92mm cooler fits easily (as indicated in my photo). I wouldn’t doubt if the Noctura 120 cooler fit with the Plexiglass side. (The Plex increases the width of the chassis a couple mm.Fitting the Noctura lowered my load temps considerably. My CPU idles at 40 C and never goes over 70 C. The board is fitted with an AM4 mount.The rear chassis fan is 92mm in size. It is a 3 pin but is upgradeable to a PWM 4-Pin. You’ll need to enable PWM control in the bios. What you might not know is that there’s a slot in the front portion of the chassis with holes for a 92mm or a 120mm intake fan. If you decide to use this make sure you purchase a SATA to three pin fan connector to connect to one of the million power connections provided by the stock power unit. Over a dozen free connections are stuffed in that secret hideaway in the bottom of the chassis. You’ll need to remove both side panels to do this work but it’s easily done.I cut a couple holes in the front of my unit for increased airflow. With the new fans it certainly uses them. See picture.I’m using MSI Affterburner and Ryzen Master while video editing. I’ve been editing in Premier on “Full” with photoshop and After Effects open with no hesitation. I’m also using a dual monitor setup. The GPU idles at 33 C and the CPU idles at ~40C.According to the BIOS (using command prompt) I found out this motherboard is upgradeable to 128GB RAM. However, it only has two memory card slots. The highest I see upgrading this PC to in the future is 64GB for this reason. No problem.With the fan setup the GPU runs steadily (33C idle) with the following overclock settings in Afterburner: Power Limit +120%, Temp Limit 89C, Core Clock 156MHz, Memory Clock +1000.During benchmark test the GPU tops out at 62C with those settings. I also receive an indication that the primary limiter to increase performance is available power. Another reviewer here upgraded their PC with a 750w power unit although I don’t feel the need.I have tried clocking the GPU to 205 MHz and 1500 Memory however I did not experience appreciable performance gains and since this is a work computer I prefer stability and longevity.The PC has never reached higher than 70C during even the most stressful benchmark tests.This PC will pay for itself in one job and I will be able to use it considerably over the next year or two. I see no immediate need for greater performance.PS: If you’re using Premier, make sure you select the correct rendering engine under your Project Settings -> General -> Renderer -> (CUDA).Also, there is no CD/DVD drive or SD Card Reader. Make sure to purchase those seperately.

I love how it worked with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I can have ultra-settings and really immerse myself in the aviation world on 3 screens thanks to the powerful NVidia card. This model came with the 2070 RTX Super. This is a great computer if you do not build your own and its genuinely nice when everything works out of the box and all the programing is completed. I wish ASUS would have opted in just to give us 32 RAM opposed to the 16. It comes with a 1TB Dard drive and 512 SSD. I immediately purchased RAM to max out at the 32 as this would be needed for the many other games, downloads and photoshop things I do on Second Life. In SL it runs Ultra be default and I now enjoy sun and moon shaders. I am not a dedicated gamer but the things I do enjoy worked ok on my Laptop I purchased in 2018 that worked ok for SL, but it was not enough for MS FLIGHT SIM. This is my first computer with Ryzen opposed to the Intel I have been using on every computer I have purchased. I am happy on how the processor is utilized and it does not seem so bottle necked. I am not a techy to be truthful, I repel it, but I do see a cleaner rendering and a smoother transition. I like the fact that its VR ready since this will be an option, I am extremely interested in visiting. For now, I am greatly confident that I made the correct choice when thinking of a beginners Gaming PC, but I realized there was many perks to having a PC over a laptop. The RBG is neat and that was a plus. Instead of my unit sitting on the floor, I feel I must have it next to my monitors to show it off. The headset holder is a plus and very convenient. The case looks and feels strong and sturdy allowing amazing airflow. For now, I am greatly confident that I made the correct choice when thinking of a beginners Gaming PC, but I realized there was many perks to having a PC over a laptop. The design targets gamers and friendly enough for new gamers. I did a lot of research with other competitors, I checked out all the recommended PCS, did my homework on Intel and Ryzen, looked at the data to ensure this would be a great option for me. In comparison the suggested prices of competitors were around $1399.00 – $1999.00 (inflation due to demand) to the more advanced Ryzen Cards and units and newer cards 3060 for $2500 well into the $3000 range. This comes in at a realistic and affordable price. Asus backs the product with a 12-month warranty and does not offer an extended on this model. Please do not just buy something because it looks cool, do your homework and I assure you; your time and effort will pay off.

We picked this up recently. Unfortunately, there isn’t already a lot of information out there yet. I’ll try to convey as much as I can in this review.First, and most importantly, this is an *awesome* machine. Gaming, I’ve maxed out the video on all the games I’ve installed, and still get over 60fps. There are some limitations though.If you want to plug it in, and play, it’s perfect. Do it. It’s fast and pretty.If you want to add stuff, there are limitations.1) There is only one PCIe slot to expand with. It is occupied by the wifi card. If you’re on a wired network, you could swap it for a M.2 card.[Edit 12-Feb-2020: There are physically two PCIe X1 slots. Slot PCIEX1_1 one is blocked by the video card. PCIEX1_2 has the wifi adapter card. You might be able to use a ribbon cable PCIe extender, if you’re really creative. It doesn’t look like the PCIe M.2 adapter card would work for a SSD. Photos of both added.]2) There’s only one M.2 card slot. If you want to add storage, it’ll be SATA, unless you ditch the wifi card.3) There are 4 SATA ports, and plenty of power connections. The only place to put drives are under the power supply shroud. There are 4 screw holes, but you won’t screw down a mechanical 3.5″ SATA drive there. It would probably work for SATA SSD drives. I wanted bulk storage, so I attached a 2TB black there, and didn’t screw it down. You’ll have to get *really* creative to put 4 drives in.It looks like there are provisions for a removable drive frame to hold 2 or 3 drives, but it doesn’t come with it. I haven’t found a listing for just that item anywhere. It would have been nice if it was included.4) There’s nowhere to put an optical drive. At least not in the case. You’d need to get a USB case for it.5) There are only 2 memory slots. They have two 8GB DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) installed. I’m fine with 16GB right now. You can upgrade to 32GB (2×16) and 3200MHz for pretty cheap. I’d only need more to support VMs, but I’m not doing that right now. Any modern games will play fine within that.[Edit 12-Feb-2020: If you upgrade memory to DDR4 3200, you may have to manually set the speed in the BIOS. We upgraded to Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 2×16 The BIOS set speed needs to be half the advertised speed, because of DDR4 math. It didn’t give a noticeable change in performance, other than having more memory.]There are 4 USB 3.2 gen1 and 2 USB 3.2 gen 2 on the back, and two USB 3.2 gen1 on the front/top. There’s also a combo audio jack on the front/top. There is another USB header inside, so you could (probably) stick a few more in a slot cover slot. Or reconsider some of your life choices, if you need more than 10 USB things going at once.The pretty selling features are all there. ASUS configurable lighting. Metal side, and a replacement Lexan side with offset screws. I like the Lexan, but don’t really care about the lighting.It allegedly has a modified ASUS Prime B450M-K motherboard. The model isn’t actually written anywhere that I can see, but I didn’t pull the motherboard. … yet. I didn’t compare features, but I found it elsewhere, and it looks right.[Edit 12-Feb-2020: The board is branded with the model “GL10DH”, as shown in the added picture.]I’m only not a verified purchase, because we bought it elsewhere for a few bucks more. Oops. I’m not a paid reviewer, but I’ll take any offers if you’re giving away hardware. :)[Edit 12-Feb-2020: I still love this machine. It was totally worth buying. I have no regrets.]

If you are looking to drop some money on a powerful tower and don’t want to build yourself, this is the proper way to do it. I have always had good interactions with Asus products, and this is my favorite so far. The computer runs quietly and it runs all my games (including sim games like Digital Combat Simulator) on max with frames in the triple digits. Please don’t make the mistake of taking the cheap route and getting the 1050, it is an outdated card at this point. The 1660 will power through anything that’s out right now and it’s worth the extra $300.Pros:-Powerful-Quiet-Comes with basic mouse and keyboard-Asus (customer support, tried and true brand)-Windows 10 works well on this model-Handsome tower (includes transparent plate to see internals, comes with full, black paneling)-Easy setup-Many, many inputs for USBs, HDMIs, and audio devices, including 2 easy-to-reach USB ports on the frontCons:-Optional 1050 is not a good choice currently-No CD drive (old-school complaint)-Not as cheap as building

Honestly its a great pc, came ready to play. I’m more of a picky gamer and came from xbox one x and instantly decided ill never go back. In case people are looking for a few benchmarks of what some games run atFortnite got up to 400 fps with comp settings although my monitor is only 144 so I changed it backWarzone got 120fps with drops to 100Overwatch 280fpsPaladins 300fpsAnd thats all I’ve tried. Most games if you tweak settings you should get at least 120.Worth the money for me would absolutely reccomend.

I purchased this pre-built computer for a specific use-case. (I picked this up for my bedroom. It’s paired with a 77″ LG CX OLED and it worked out of the box.)I was looking for a deal on an AMD CPU and a decent graphics card without an inflated price tag. I normally build my PCs, but the current market conditions on AMD CPUs and mid-to-high-tier graphics cards does not make that a a good value proposition.I picked up my unit for $900, which would be a good deal even if prices weren’t inflated. Right now it’s an outright steal. I suspect my unit was returned by one of the customers who left a negative review over power issues.My box was opened (the Asus-branded tape had been cut on the bottom and replaced with generic packing tape), and the PC itself was not wrapped in plastic, so I assume the first buyer had removed it from the box and hooked it up. However, the power-supply switch on the back of the case was set to the OFF position. Someone unfamiliar with desktops might easily overlook that switch and grow frustrated when the button on the front of the case did not engage the system’s power.In my experience most PC issues are related to user-error. Take the time to make sure you are following basic setup instructions on your system during setup, especially if you are a novice PC user.Overall, the system is responding as I expected. If you can’t wait for prices to drop and want a AMD CPU and a decent RTX card, this is an option, but if money is tight, think twice at paying the $1400-$1800 list price. I personally would look for open box or refurbished deals with a decent return policy and limited time warranty before buying this system new at the current prices (as of the end of January, 2021).

Sometimes one has to admit one can be an idiot. I returned the PC because I thought the sound jacks did not work. My bad. I tested with an iHome speaker. I had forgotten there is a switch on the bottom of speaker that has to be set to Aux In or Bluetooth depending on which interface being used. Duh, slap me in the face and wake me up.Everything about the PC was great except the sound jacks, so I thought.So sorry ASUS, love your PC, will reorder once I get my refund.
