The art mode is a gimmick. But I really like the picture, flush mount and one-connect simple connection. Easily connects to modern sound bars or surround systems via eArc. Was easy to program the remote to control everything. It’s a bit thick at nearly 2″. DO NOT buy a bezel. The TV already has a nice black anodized metal bezel. The extra bezels are $200 of cheap, crap plastic, which arrived bent and broken and has been returned. Good riddance.

The picture on this TV is gorgeous. Tested with Return of the Jedi for black levels and contrast in the opening space scene. Wow. The sound is surprisingly room filling! Not sure it it’s wall reflection, but it has a wide soundstage that sounds sound bar like. Also works great with my Wii U, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch in game mode. To make it work with the Switch, you MUST change the RGB setting on the Switch to “Limited”, otherwise the screen will flicker uncontrollably. Technical note: “Limited vs “Full” is only which set of integers between 0 and 255 get used for computers versus televisions. Since this is a TV, it should always be set to “Limited”. There is no loss of color space, clarity, etc.Installation using the included zero gap wall mount is easy. TIP: I installed this in a single stud in a lathe and plaster wall, but used two 1/4 inch by 2 inch lag bolts, with 1/8 inch pilot holes drilled. The included bolts may be adequate for that, but with 100+ year old walls, and a new and expensive TV, not going to risk it. Remaining mouting holes were secured with 1/4 inch toggle bolts.Installing the TV above a fireplace onto the wall mount was *not* so easy. I can pick up the TV overhead, but needed a spotter to latch it onto the wall mount. This has a VERY tight tolerance in terms of lef/right, up/down, and angle to the wall. Took me five tries to get it latched in, but once there all good to go. You can also adjust the horizontal tilt a few degrees if needed, but not by much.I had no idea this comes with free “cable” content. Samsung TV includes ad-sponsored (i.e. commercials) channels like Vevo, America’s Test Kitchen, a 4k nature channel, anime, and Bob Ross’s Joy of Painting (cool right?), among others. Nice feature! Finally art mode. Like many others, this is what influenced our decision to purchase. Keep in mind you need to pick the right medium to use to make this more “art like”. The curated art store has a good selection but lacks some of my faves like Pollack, Rothko, etc. It’s organized by curation (specifc museum), color, artist, medium, subject, and others. As the TV is essentially trying to be a glass picture frame, things like photographs, or other works normally under glass, work well. Oils, not as much. Also, the effect works best in bright light, versus having a “glow in the dark” picture at night.Happy with the purchase and would definitely do it again!

The television is wonderful. It is exactly what we wanted. It is in a room where it is the focal point of the room and we really wanted the ART MODE. We have now had time to explore the ART STORE and it is wonderful! Easy to use and we found so many artworks that we love to display. The television itself is very high quality picture and good sound. We used our own mounting bracket so I can’t comment on the bracket that comes with the television. We used our own because we wanted one that was recessed into the wall (so the television is flush) but pulls out to swivel and pivot. I especially like the ART MODE.The only reason I gave the remote 4 stars instead of 5 is because it so sleek and streamlined that it doesn’t have a lot of buttons. If you want to fast forward to reverse, when you push the button the remote, and then on screen controls are displayed. They are tricky to learn to use and we haven’t mastered it yet. I am sure we will.

I don’t get the negative reviews. This is an incredible tv. It is a tv. I think that’s where the problem is. If you’re not wanting to use this as a tv then don’t buy it!! The art mode feature is great, it really doesn’t look like a tv while in use. The picture quality is so good and the sound is amazing for a flat screen tv. I was worried that I’d have to set up a sound bar with it, but there’s really no need. The one connect cord and box is a great solution to all the corded mess that typically comes with a tv. One review complained about the cord, but how do you expect all the components and power to connect to the tv? This is really the best solution, I still have to hide it but it should be easy. As long as you don’t have crazy expectations for some pretty unrealistic features you’ll love the Frame. $2,000 for a 65 inch tv isn’t a very expensive tv, especially for the quality you get. I’m glad I bought this, and I’ve already recommended it to others!Update:I still stand by my review. I hid the part of the wire that was visible and couldn’t be happier. Tv has been set up for one month and we’ve had no issues. I love the picture and am still surprisingly satisfied with the sound the TV puts out. The picture with the lions shows the wire hidden as well as the black frame on. If you’re wondering where my one connect box is, it’s in the ottoman that you can see in the bottom right corner of my picture. I really love that you can’t see any cords.

Brilliant TV! Looks great in art mode. If your primary goal is to have the tv look less like a tv, I think you’ll be pleased with this one. There are some reviews that point out some downsides (like small amount of local storage), but I’ve had no problems. The pictures make the screen look brighter than it is – but with the right pictures, it looks matte and brilliant in art mode; like a framed print. M

It may not entirely fool you into thinking it’s a piece of framed art and not a TV, but regardless, it looks 100 times better above a fireplace than a big conspicuous wall mounted TV. It was expensive but worth it. I love that it has Apple TV built in as an app too!

I know this TV is about $1k more expensive than its competitors. Yes, it has the same picture quality and functionality to other Samsung & LG TV’s but the differentiator is the ArtMode function and yes, that’s what you’re paying for. Is it worth $1k for a “screensaver” on your TV? Absolutely. Because unlike a screensaver, the ArtMode is completely matte and the quality is impressive. Everyone who has stepped into my living room has said “nice painting” before I told them it’s actually a TV – it’s REALLY fun watching their facial expression as their brain comprehends that what they’re staring at is not a painted picture. I am in love with this TV and would recommend it to anyone who wants a TV that doesnt look like a TV. Our goal was to purchase something that didn’t take away from our stone wall fireplace, and this was just the thing. 5 stars.

Do yourself a favor and ignore the bad reviews. Too many negative Nancys out there not doing their homework. My wife and I had been wanting a frame TV for awhile and finally pulled the trigger due to a prime day deal. Let me start by saying I did a lot of reading prior to the purchase of this TV. I am an artist and my wife is a designer so we didn’t want a big black rectangle on the wall. The bad reviews I read were mostly due to people not reading the product description prior to purchasing the TV. Some of the more common complaints are no storage for personal photos, large one connect box, motion sensor issues, monthly subscription requirement. First of all the storage isn’t a big deal, this isn’t a computer where you store all your photos. If you want to upload a couple pictures it works fine. Otherwise, use the many available online. Regarding the $5/month for several hundred fantastic art pieces, don’t be cheap, you just bout a $1000+ TV. Is $60/year gonna break the bank?It does come with a abnormally large connect box so if it’s going above a fireplace this is something to take into consideration. We have a living room hutch so it was easy to hide this away. Also I ran the small cord in the wall so there are no cords visible. This is a must to make it look even more like a picture.Haven’t had issues with the motion sensor. I leave the TV on all day. When I turn the lights on it displays the art, and when I go to bed and turn the lights off, the screen goes black.Overall, if you read the product description and you buy this TV with the right expectations you won’t be disappointed. It’s got great sound and picture and when off has fooled many people that have came over. Yes there are other TVs with better picture quality for probably the same price, but that’s not why you buy this TV. This TV is absolutely beautiful. I want one in every room in my house I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to avoid a large black rectangle eyesore on their wall.

This TV gets erratic reviews so I didn’t have really high expectations but I was placing it above a fireplace so the frame aspect convinced me it was worth the bet. Much to my surprise this TV is awesome! I expected to have to purchase a sound bar (I have two other 75″ Samsungs) but didn’t need it and the frame ap is really cool. It’s super easy to use, $5/month and looks kind of amazing (tons to choose from). I think it’s worth investing in a thicker after market frame though, so that’s my next purchase. The one it comes with doesn’t look any different than a regular TV.

Beautiful picture — easy to install (according to my handyman) — and the art mode is a game changer. I was nervous about ordering a tv and getting it delivered — I shouldn’t have worried — it was easy!Ended up putting the boxes in the credenza — so nice to have them hidden.
