Activated on Verizon with no issues. Simply swapped the SIM from my old phone and instantly started working. Logged into Verizon and transferred the SIM to the new IMEI. A+

I purchased this phone because AT&T is changing its network to 4G LTE and eliminating its 3G network so even though my old phone used a version of 4G it would not work on the new AT&T network come February 2022. I received the A42 5G (SM-A426U1/DS) about a week ago, it currently work great on the AT&T network and love it!HOWEVER, an AT&T representative told me today that this phone will also NOT work with the new network change in February 2022! I also checked an AT&T list for ‘Supported Unlocked Phones’ come February and it stated: A42 5G (SM-A426U1) NOT A42 5G (SM-A426U1/DS) which is this phone (under SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE).(Note: /DS means it’s a Dual SIM phone which I found to be very strange because this is a single SIM as best as I can tell and, to the best of my knowledge, US phone are single SIM while International phone are Dual SIM yet it’s suppose to be a US version so…I cannot explain this)So, be advised that if one believes AT&T then this phone will no longer work come February 2020. All I can hope for is the representative was wrong or given bad information…otherwise it’s an expensive paperweight. I find it strange but not unlikely that AT&T would force me to purchase a phone directly from them in order to use their network but we’ll see.

This is an awesome phone. I Love it! It’s like having a New Car! I’m still exploring all the possibilities. It’s got great sound. It’s super fast. I can get out from my home, car etc. This is the 4th phone I’ve bought since May of this year. I found one I will stick with. I gave the other 3 to My Husband and Sons. Everybody’s Happy 🙂 This phone is easy to navigate. It’s waterproof, think of That! WOW! Didn’t think that would happen at such a low price. It’s a great phone for the price. I would put it up against any of the $1000 phones out there. It’s got an awesome camera. Love My Pics, People! Plenty of storage and Plus I can get even more. What more could a Girl ask for?! They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Well, I think her phone is these days. They are the Diamonds of today. Especially if they’re as Wonderful as this phone is. Thank you for such a great product. Looking to many great days with this piece of Bling 🙂

I replaced my Samsung A20 phone with this A42 G5. Its been great so far on ATT network. The Samsung phone transfer program worked great, All my apps and passwords moved over to the new phone,A lot of options with the camera to take photos. Plenty of onboard RAM plus I added a 1TB SD card for even more space.
