Years ago, I had a Sony Trinitron console TV. It weighed over 200 pounds. We ended up giving it away to a very happy delivery guy who delivered our new lighter flat screen tv. I have not had another tv with that good of picture until now. This Sony X80J is beautiful. I’m using factory settings!!! I’ve never done that. I always have to change something on the video panel. The sound is great. I replaced a LG tv that whispered. I had to buy a sound system out of necessity for it. I didn’t with this one, although I did attach the sound system which works perfectly with it. Rich sound. My PS4 rocks in 4K. It is beautiful to play games on. It is a Google Tv and the downside is that sometimes I have to unplug it to reset (like a computer) and it behaves again. I’ve never used Alexa with it, but Google Assistant is built in the remote. I’m less than impressed, but I don’t like the voice controls in most things anyway. I have a Texas accent and I think they don’t always understand that. Remote is fine, not backlit but acceptable. Its a great television and 55 inches perfect for my livingroom.

Bought this for our cabin living room. I compared other TV’s with OLED and blah blah blah… this Ultra 4K TV is a value at $850, producing a picture very close or the same as models 3x the price. I’ve always owned Sony TV’s because I’ve always thought they reproduce the most realistic, crisp image. Built in Airplay 2 is awesome. No need for an Apple TV as you can just stream from Apple devices. Chromecast is also built in. Setup and control of other devices using the TV’s remote is awesome. I believe this is the best TV I found for the money. Amazon nailed it with perfect, careful delivery.

This is the best 4K TV compare to my other three 4K TV.I purchased this TV a month ago and they have no problem until now. I am Look like watching a Cinema everytime I have new 4K movies. My only complain in this TV the SLEEP TIMER 😂 only 2 hours max because I drinking beer sometimes and watching movies much better maybe 4 hours max or with Personal timer setting.

I do like Sony TV’s, at least for the ones I have purchased in the last 5 years. This is a beautiful model and the 4K gives beautiful clarity and detail. I did not feel the need to modify the picture settings. It is also easy to use, remote is intuitive. Setting up was very easy including the stand, however I am going to wall mount it to make less clutter. I have not had any problem with it so no negatives to report.

This TV definitely lives up to the Sony name. This is the first Sony TV I have bought, although I have owned Sony Shortwave radios and I am still using an old Sony DVD recorder with a ATSC tuner. I have always consider Sony to be top of the line with receivers. This TV has an awesome picture and for a flat screen great sound. I had to tweak the sound and picture settings. Especially the sound settings, to get the best performance, the factory settings really did not produce very good sound. I was also able to pair a Bluetooth headphone set to the TV. I primary bought this for the Next Gen tuner, although I have not been able test it yet, but I am sure I will. I primarily watch OTA (TV over the air) and live in a marginal area for TV reception, so I am more interested in it as a receiver. I have been watching OTA for over 12 years with a Roku box added in. As far as the receiver, it works as good and marginally better then other TV’s I am using on the same antenna system. In the help menu it has a signal diagnostic feature which gives signal strength and the all important Signal to Noise Ratio. It also lets you add digital channels, so you can turn the antenna and add channels, without having to do a full channel scan.Features I like about Google TV. Sony allows you to install a full feature web browser. Google TV, also allows to add channels from Pluto and Xumo (and actually pick which channels you want to add) to your TV tuner app, allowing you to surf streaming channels with your over the air channels. So far I have nothing negative to say. I would recommend this TV to my friends.

Best TV I’ve seen, for an incredible price (considering it’s features, It’s a steal) can be adjusted to give you absolute black even on a dark room (that been my main concern on a full array back lighting without local dimming), 4K and HDR are amazing, also surprisingly It looks perfect on my older Windows desktop that supports 4K but only at 30 Hz. the fonts look perfect despite that, and with the MacBook Air with the M1 It’s really awesome (you do get 4K at 60Hz).There are so many adjustments on this thing that it would take pages to list them all, the important thing is that you can adjust video and audio in any way imaginable. To conclude I must say that I love this TV.

Tried a couple other 43″ TVs as monitors, a Vizio M and a Samsung TU7000 (Costco 90 day warranty, sue me) and was NOT impressed (grainy and dim, respectively). So, here is the monitor review I was looking for before I took the plunge on this, spoiler, it’s great. I saw on Rtings that this was the”best” PC low cost monitor, so I thought I’d give it a try before having to wait until Black Friday to grab an OLED. Luckily this thing is great with crisp monitor functionality with great brightness. It’s been an excellent computer monitor especial combined with the official Microsoft add-on “fancy zones” (look it up, life changing stuff) and essentially gives me a dual monitor for work, and an “acceptable” monitor for gaming. For half the price of an OLED, it does a great job as long as you aren’t a serious 120 FPS guy or a movie nut. For me, a guy who wants a solid large monitor and decent gaming scgreen (good color and brightness for Xbox Series S and PS4) it’s great. I still play competitive Overwatch and Destiny 2, but it’s fine for me, I’m as cruddy of a player as always, lol. Seriously, if you need the best gaming monitor look elsewhere, but it’s fine for me. Also, if you want to watch a lot of TV or movies the image is ok at best. Not sure why, it just doesn’t hold up. One thing, I wish I had purchased a 50″ since you can do “fancy zones” wherever you want for work and then have a bigger monitor for play. With more working from home I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews like this considering the amount of people working from home, but if you want a big TV for PC productivity and light gaming, just stop here and buy it. The value is stupid good compared to the amount you’ll pay for an OLED.

I’ll start by saying I’m rating this based on my purchase via best buy. I ordered this TV from Amazon and had to send it right back because the screen was cracked upon arrival. The UPS guy told me it could’ve been cracked anywhere in the delivery process so be mindful if you’re thinking of buying from Amazon. Anyway…Great picture, colors really pop out. I haven’t customized the picture settings yet so I can imagine I can make it look even better. It has some pictures modes that changes certain characteristics for a better viewing experience. You can label the inputs, set it to start on a particular input or app, and adjusting the sound quality is very easy. The down-firing speakers sound ok but I recommend pairing it with a sound bar and subwoofer. The menu is smooth and easy to navigate. The remote control feels premium and the layout makes sense. It has 4 hdmi inputs and two USB ports. It’s a Google TV and integrating it with Google Home is a breeze. It works with Alexa too as I had that setup before switching back to Google Home. I have mine wall mounted and it looks great. It’s worth the price and quality of Sony.

I ordered this to replace a three year old Samsung that had a LED panel starting to fade or burnout. I’ve always liked Sony products and was willing to pay a bit more for this set. It arrived with no issues to the box or TV. It set up reasonably well. I was a bit dubious of the Google TV interface, but got used to it reasonably fast. My only nit is that the it seems to occasionally lose connectivity to my WiFi even though it sits next to the router and no other device on my network has similar one-off drops. Otherwise, the picture and sound quality are both great. The remote is a bit large, especially coming a FireTV remote, but it’s pretty easy to navigate.

The best thing about this television is Amazon, it’s customer service is unbelievably fantastic. Story: within 30 minutes of arrival the television was up on the wall and my daughter was playing video games. Oops, nasty line appeared on the screen. (Things happen), I called Amazo. Customer service will send out a new one. The next day at 8 AM Amazon was knocking on my door with my new replacement. The TV Is everything that it should be. Bottom line: this is why I shop at Amazon! I can trust them.
