I am loving this tv. We have had it since last year in our off grid cabin. A quality television that operates on 12 volt dc is hard to find. The color and picture are amazing. My only complaint is that the sound doesnt get very loud. I fixed that with a usb powered set of computer speakers. Did I mention the usb input on the tv powers usb devices too? Awesome for my needs.

I purchased this as a Gift for my Father in Law for when he goes hunting. I did not take pictures of the TV for that reason but I asked a bunch of questionsHe says the pictures is really nice. It isn’t to bad on non HD channels eitherThe DVD player loads fast and is easy to use and access.Setup was fast and easy even for a non tech guy. Also I believe he said the the Unit (TV and DVD player) only use 30 Watts or so of Power I am pretty sure that wasn’t listed in the description, but it is on the box the TV is packaged in.I did see people complaining when I was reading the reviews before I purchased the TV about the picture quality being low. Please keep in mind that DVD’s only have a 420P Max quality. So it isn’t going to be a HD picture while you are watching a DVD. It is the same if not less if you are watching non HD TV channels also.

Just bought the SuperSonic SC-2412 from Amazon. Everything thus far is working GREAT… EXCEPT when I insert either a SD card or USB drive into the USB 2 slots (the ones along the DVD housing) they are not recognize – “No Device” USB 1 does work, however this input does not play movies. Also, not sure is this has anything to do with it, but the remote that came with the unit is different from the directions, see photo.I hate to start a return with Amazon and will just try another one is this unit is defective.Any input good / bad on the USB 2 ports? Thanks!Update – After talking with a SuperSonic Support Rep…Per the SuperSonic Support person, THIS INFORMATION IS NOT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. I ask if he could set me what he as reading… “NO his information is only for SuperSonic support.”Per the SuperSonic support – the remote I have is the newest model and the instructions have not been updated, online or with the TV instructions. To use USB or Card slots – Source> DVD> Insert USB or Card> On my remote (photo attached) – Press D.USB/SD> Select movie to play.Important – again this information is not provide in the instructions:Compatible File FormatsAVI – 720 x 480 max! There maybe other, but this is the only one I’ve tried that works and suggested by the support tech.I use Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate to convert DVD’s or other files to an AVI file for the TV.Tip – Use Xvid format if using the above program, the file size is MUCH smaller on most movies and the the quality is the same, maybe better. And make sure you don’t exceed 720×480.What I found out by using the USB / Card slot- Maximum File Name Size to display properly on the TV – 20 CharactersI’m a happy camper now, the TV is working great so far, still need to do more testing on all the features. I hope this helps other. Thanks!

This is a lightweight TV with a great picture. I have it plugged into an external speaker so the sound is great, too. Even without that, the sound isn’t too bad. I found out you need to select “source” and then “DVD” in order for the DVD player to accept the disc you insert. It worked great and uses very little power. I have an RV and it’s nice to not have to start up the generator to watch TV.

It’s an LED HDTV for under $200! I’m amazed that for that price I could get such an amazing picture, a DVD player and it’s 12 volt for the camper trailer. I have it installed on a ceiling mounted swivel so that we can watch it from the bedroom or from the living room and it will be wired into our stereo for much better sound quality. The 12 volt feature is what I was looking for and was actually looking into installing on of the 14 inch screen TV’s for SUV’s, but when I found this one (even cheaper than I could get a built in for) I had to have it. It’s small enough for the camper trailer and big enough that we can see it clearly from both ends of the trailer. I’m still building the trailer, but installed this for wiring and trial purposes. (gotta know where the plugs go, had to reinforce mount surface to hold it) The downsides: It’s LED so viewing angle matters. You will have to angle it for best viewing (got that covered with a swivel/tilt/folding ceiling mount ) The speakers are small and it does not get loud enough to hear (I have a stereo that is being installed and it has input features just for this type installation) While installing it, I found that the screw holes in the back (for the mount) are very shallow. I can cut off the screws, so to me it’s not a big deal but the screws that came with the mount are too long for it. They need to be 8mm long or 5/16 of an inch. Easy fix for me. For you RVers: This TV draws very little power at all! In our 23foot Holiday Rambler this is a bigscreen! You will need to put a 12 volt power outlet close to it and be ready to put a 3.5mm speaker output wire in as well so that you can wire it to your sound system. I can hear it as-is over the Air Conditioner, but just barely. I’ll update this as time goes by… Stay tuned! Well after 6 months of use in our camper (as we’re still working on it as well) I’m very happy with it. We had a few really severe storms that came though and we had a lightning strike. I figured that the TV was toast as we no longer had a nice crisp clean picture. With a little investigation I found that the power cord and the antenna cable were burned. I replaced them both and we’re back up and watching an amazing picture. One problem though; every now and then the picture seems to pixilate and freeze. It’s easily remedied by changing the channel and going back, but it’s still bothersome. If I have to buy another, I’ll still buy this same one!

So far this tv is all that I expected . The last one I bought through Amazon only lasted a few months after the warranty. It was called Axcess and was exactly like this one. I bought an extended warranty with this one so that doesn’t happen again.

This TV gets a great picture. I use it in my horse trailer living quarters. Some people say the sound on it could be louder. But I think itโ€™s fine for what Iโ€™m using it for. For the price I would definitely recommend it again

Installed it in my RV. I cut off the “cigarette lighter” 12 volt adapter after determining the + and – wires and hard wired it into the electrical system. Since it’s in the RV (aka, my full-time home wandering the country), absolutely no viewing angle problem. Incredibly light. Sitting 8 to 10 feet away, there is no quality issue with the image. The sound does suck, but that’s true for all flat panel TVs. There is a headphone jack out, so route the sound to some stereo system. Just make sure you have all the sound settings on the TV set to “normal” or “flat”. Let the stereo system do any enhancements. We have an Amazon stick stuck into the HDMI port and it works flawlessly. The Google stick also worked perfectly when I had it in. “Perfectly” means the image quality was as good as I had in apartments and the connection with the remotes through the TV body worked. If you’re looking for a home theater system, look elsewhere. But if you want a great system at a great price for you RV or boat, this will work.

In my search for a TV for my camper, I discovered the SuperSonic HDTV 19″ with DVD player. It turned out to be the perfect match for our needs. It offers a variety of uses. With a portable flat antenna it picks up local over the air channels, it connects to cable TV in RV parks, it displays pictures from our SD card (with a USB adapter), it connects to our FireStick, and it plays our DVDs. Using a mount from Amazon to attach it to a cabinet (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KBW29P8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), we’re able to view the TV from the bed or the dinette and it locks against the cabinet for travel down the road. When we are not on the road, it is easy to move the TV back to the house for use with our security cameras where it does a brilliant job.

I don’t always give 5 stars, because I often only read 4 and 2 star reviews. But this tv/dvd is great, especially for the price! We bought it for our RV, and I’ve tested everything except the smart card input. Everything works perfectly, including the 12 volt power. When I tested it in the house it found the same number of OTA channels as my expensive Samsung TV. In the RV it found more channels than I expected with the ‘portable’ antenna. Pros: 12 volt input for RV, built in dvd, decent remote, numerous inputs so we can use it as a second laptop monitor in the RV. Two minor cons: the 120 volt cord does not disconnect. We only use it in our RV as a TV, then move it to the table as a monitor, so it would be nice if we could disconnect the 120 volt cord. And you have to change the Source to DVD before the disk will go in, unusual but I saw this in other reviews. Neither is a worth a star, I’d buy it again.
