We needed a new kitchen TV that would fit a tight spot. It’s used by my wife when she’s preparing food, so the 9″ inch screen size is a good fit. The screen is bright and picture clarity is good. It comes with 3 different antennae options, the one we chose gives good reception for a dozen or so stations. The only major channel that comes in choppy did so for the prior TV as well (it’s known to have poor reception in our part of town). We have not tested the battery life and probably never will. Assembling the stand was quick and easy. All in all, we are quite pleased with it.

For a small tv it’s actually really good. Color is good and sound is good. I think a couple of reviews don’t take into consideration that it is a “Portable tv ” and compare it against their larger family tv.PICTURE QUALITY: The picture is clear and color is good (and is adjustable of course). Viewing angle is ok for it’s size.SOUND QUALITY: Volume is ample and not tinny or boxy. And has front firing stereo speakers.REMOTE: The remote has more than enough controls. You can even control video media ran into it or off the card slot.RECEPTION: Reception is actually very good. Of course it depends your location. In an urban environment you may be pressed for reception due to tall buildings though. It comes with 3 antennas, one of which is the slide on telescoping antenna. The other 2 are magnetized vehicle antennas. You can also run your home cable into it.Overall, for the money, you would be hard pressed to find anything else with as many inputs and picture/video options as well as quality.

The TV is terrific, giving me sharp, clear pictures. My only complaint is in the design and implementation of the base. It was not very easy to assemble and the two screws to stabilize the extension into the base were not long enough to keep the TV stable. That was easily corrected with two longer screws from my local hardware store.

Nowadays you can watch television on your phone on a tablet on a computer but if there’s no internet and you’re out in the middle of nowhere this little Tyler HD color TV is absolutely fabulous. I had never heard of Tyler as a television Company manufacturer but my trust in Amazon has never led me astray So based on their recommendations and Research into the smaller televisions I discovered this that came with a lot of extras including three separate antennas for different situations and I didn’t know it then, but the little remote you get with it is also very very practical and necessary for this TV set. I’ve used it in my truck while camping and I take it to work to watch the NBA playoffs on the weekend. I’m not going to get into the technical aspect because I am writing this review about the practicality of this unit, it’s portability but most of all the high quality of the reception and picture and how well these little antennas work to receive an awesome picture. I get many many compliments on the quality of the picture which bottom line, is why we buy these new fancy TVs. I highly and strongly recommended television said if you are looking for something portable and mobile without internet. Already has the digital tuner built in so simply plug it in pick an antenna that works for you in specific applications and enjoy Free TV!!!!!

Love this little TV. wife & I bought it to use in our cellar during tornado season (Oklahoma). Also use it when we loose power–last 4 years our first winter storm has hit in November and they have been nothing but horendus ice storms. Last one (2 Nov 20) some lines had 3 inches of ice on some power lines (about the TV–menus are easy to use and sound is good and volume level will drive you out of the room or you go deaf it will go so loud). Comes with 3 different antennas, we bought an RCA rabbit ear setup because the cellar is 6″ concrete. You can use the FM feature and pickup radio stations. There are also inputs where you can watch pictures/video on it (from an iPhone or computer). I looked it up and found the battery should last 80 to 90 minutes. For power outages we bought a Best Tech (500 watt) inverter on Amazon of course, was 39 bucks. We go out in the garage and hook it to one of the batteries in the cars (won’t run them down, the little Tyler TV only pulls about 12 to 18 watts. It was 73 dollars and some change, beats the Digital Prism we replaced by a mile, Amazon wants almost 300.00 for the Digital Prism TV. Plus the Tyler picks up the channels we need to watch during sever weather (tornados). Hope this gives some insight if your thinking about getting a small TV.

I live on Isle of Palms, SC. Had a very bad storm Thursday, no power for 7 hours, first time in 10 years. Ordered the Tyler TTV 9 the next day. Got it today. The box was very deceiving, I thought to myself this has to go back I’m very very happy I took the time to check it out. There is everything you need in the box, screen, cables,3 different antennas, car charger stand. It took a few mins. to find on/off(on back not front) plugged itthe red light came on put the screw in antenna on instant channels picture sound. Clear as could be all four local TV stations WCBD 2 ,WCW 4WCSW 5,WTAT 24 I have it plugged in now for full charge to check life of batteries but I must say this is a winner I could not be happier so far.

I camp in the back of my small horse trailer and this TV works great for this. When it is too cold to sit outside and have morning coffee, I can put on TV as pictured. Also, if it is raining it gives me something to do when I can’t be outdoors. It doesn’t take up much space and I can run it off of electric or battery. It gets many channels depending on where I am camping. In the Shawnee National Forest, I got good reception, but in Arkdale, WI nothing-but neither did anyone else who had fancy LQ trailers/RVs. I bought a 50 mile additional antenna. I have been testing it in my home north of Chicago and get lots of channels in various rooms and on the patio.

Wow, wanted a backup battery t.v.,there been a few tornados lately, very unusual for my area.usually during bad weather and with direct t.v. if it’s storming no t.v. .Well let me tell you I get 36 local t.v. stations.and the picture is all most better than my smart t.v. it now has a permanent place next to my bed. Some time I watch it when I don’t want to disturb the wife. Just great best $ I’ve spent in a while.

I had read in other reviews that the picture was a bit harsh, and indoors, it can be. It’s not awful, mind you, just a bit harsh: a little too much contrast and color. Outdoors, however, which is where I watch this unit mostly, the picture has a very nice appearance. Battery life is good, and the tuner is as good as other bigger TVs that I own. I use this for over-the-air TV, so a decent tuner is a must. Portable, obviously, and the coax cable adapter that comes with it makes it easy to hook-up to a legit antenna. Has a TV signal strength meter of sorts, it will tell you if the signal is “bad,” “normal,” or “good.” Even with “bad” signal I still often got an uninterrupted picture. Time will tell, but thus far I am happy with this purchase. Only drawback is the “bubble button” type remote control. I just don’t like that sort of button style. Also, the remote will turn on/off other devices in the room that use the same type of remote. Not the biggest problem. I haven’t had any battery outages, but I don’t watch that long at any one time, so your experience may vary. In any case, you can run the TV off a portable power inverter with ease. You will probably need an external speaker for outdoor use. This thing just isn’t very loud.

I don’t write revues often, but this tv is very impressive! The picture is very clear, and the sound is better then expected for a small tv, set up was very easy and quick! I would highly recommend this tv, its a great value, I’m very satisfied!
