UPDATE 07/25/2021: After a change to a different T-Mobile MVNO and re-testing this phone with it, I have discovered VoLTE is working fine. I think my previous MVNO just sucked; I had numerous other problems with them. Apologies to any readers for my previous incorrect claim. I can now wholeheartedly recommend this phone again, and have restored my 5-star rating accordingly.UPDATE 08/02/2020: I have determined that, contrary to what T-Mobile’s IMEI check says, this phone IS NOT compatible with T-Mobile VoLTE. That means that it will no longer work on T-Mobile’s network, including any T-Mobile MVNOs, starting in 2021. Also, due to AT&T’s VoLTE whitelist system, it will not work on AT&T’s network starting in 2022. It’s a shame, because the specs for the price really are amazing, but due to the coming VoLTE requirement I can no longer recommend this phone for use with US GSM carriers.OLD REVIEW:Is the Cubot X19 going to measure favorably against a $1000 flagship? Of course not. However, I feel confident in saying it will beat most similarly-priced models from better-known brands. First: the negatives: the speaker is not very good for games/media, though standard voice calls are just fine. The body is all plastic. Battery life isn’t as good as the Huawei Honor 7X it replaced. The stock camera app is seriously the worst I’ve ever seen. However, none of these downsides are anywhere near dealbreakers. I’m not a big music/movie/game player on my phone, and I use a good pair of headphones when I do, so the weak speaker is no big deal. With a case on, the plastic body isn’t too troubling. Battery life is still pretty good; the 7X’s was just exceptional. Bad camera app? Install Open Camera, problem solved. Where this phone shines is in bang for the buck, and the specs are outstanding for what is a VERY inexpensive piece of hardware. I paid $80 more for the Honor 7X, and the X19 runs rings around it. It runs a very clean version of Android, too, without a lot of manufacturer fluff. Again, this is a cheap phone, not a flagship. Compared to other smartphones in its price range, though… and to many budget phones up to $200 or so… it is truly a standout.

Updated 8/19/20. I love this phone even more than before. It’s way faster than my laptop for research. The other day the fingerprint feature locked up and wouldn’t read my print. After a couple of tries I rebooted the phone (restarted not factory reboot) and voila, fingerprint reader worked fine again. I highly recommend this phone if you want a reasonably priced Android phone. It’s so worth it! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!Update 5/2/20. I still love this phone! The plastic screen protector that came installed on the phone was scratched but thanks to another reviewer, I learned that screen protectors for the iPhone Xs Max also fit this phone. So I ordered a set of 4 which arrived today. Easy installation, perfect fit. Hard, tempered glass so the screen is really protected now. There are also protectors made specifically for the X19 but they are harder to find and shipping is slower.First phone had an issue with the speaker. I couldn’t hear caller but they could hear me. Exchanged for a replacement which arrived a day sooner than expected. Amazon is great about that! Phone was easy to set up and transfer everything from the old one to the new phone. This is so much faster than my Moto e4. And I love the huge amount of storage! The screen is very responsive, phone works well. I love that it supports wifi calling. My old, old BLU did not. Moto does but with only 2 gig it was running out of space. This X19 is a great deal. I would have liked to have gotten the gradient model but it was unavailable. The black back with the case was hard to see against a dark background so I cut a thin piece of mylar to fit the case with the appropriate holes cut out and placed it inside between the case and the phone. Now the phone is easily visible against any background. And if I get tired of the color I can change it anytime.I haven’t used the camera much yet so can’t review it but will update in a few weeks with more information after more use. All in all, I’m very pleased with the phone.

Fingerprint reader is a plus for me to keep my phone private from peering family members, battery life exceptional just stay off it and you’ll be fine! The phone does what I need and glad it doesn’t carry all the excess bloatware that some phones have. It’s fast, responsive, lightweight, and comes with a clear case that seems to be shock proof in which I need…due to drops. Charges fast and no problems so far 👌

Arrived to Mexico quickly. Nice looking phone, and it was easy to install all the apps that I have on my iPhone. I am keeping my iPhone 5SE for a backup, but it’s screen is much smaller. X19 charged fast with the enclosed cable, in about one and a half hours, but when plugged into my laptop, it indicated the charge would be about 5 or 6 hours. Use the quick charge cord provided, but please note the plug will get warm, as well as the phone. Phone itself works great, it fast, and the screen is crisp and clear. Luckily it has the screen cover and free silicone phone cover because NO Gorilla Glass. I haven’t tried to use the headphone jack yet, but I usually use bluetooth anyway, and it works just fine. The only problem I discovered, and not really a problem at all, is when you let the phone battery completely drain, then recharge, you have to reboot the X19, but this only takes about a minute, and all is normal after that. Be sure to turn off bluetooth until needed because this will drain the battery much faster. I get almost 3 days per charge.

Mid tier specs for the price of a budget phone. I’ve been using this non-stop. Handles multiple apps easily, battery lasts 2 days typically, big bright screen (had to turn it down), easy setup. My favorite part was that there was no bloatware. Definitely recommend. If CUBOT keeps up with updates this device would borderline on perfection

I bought two of these to replace my wife’s and my LG Phoenix 3 phones which were purchased through Mint Mobile one and a half years ago. The Phoenix 3 is “OK” if you don’t plan on using many apps due to storage limitations and the speed was acceptable, but browsing the web was a bit sluggish and they also don’t support Wifi calling on Mint’s network. The Cubot X19 specifications are fantastic for what you pay, more than triple the internal storage, 2GB more RAM and 4 more cores of processing power over the Phoenix 3. Not to mention a nice clean install of Android Pie 9 without a trace of additional bloatware. An added bonus is Wifi calling and texting worked out of the box immediately after setting up Mint’s carrier network. The X19 is very responsive and snappy, pretty much equal to my iPhone 6s work cell and the X19 screen is gorgeous. If you’re moving from an earlier version of Android to Pie there’s a slight learning curve, but I pretty much mastered it within a day or two. The X19 comes with a clear silicone case which is a nice touch and helps prevent trivial bumps and scratches to the back casing. If you abuse your phones you’ll want to investigate a more robust case and screen protector. So far battery life has been well above average while the battery saver features are enabled. I’m getting close to 3 days run time with moderate use and before needing charged. If you’re like me and wanting the best value out of an unlocked GSM phone, The Cubot X19 is definitely hard to beat in terms of hardware features, speed, compatibility, clean Android install and no bloatware. Once this needs replacing I’ll definitely be taking a second look at what Cubot has to offer.

My son loves his phone. He’s coming from a Blu phone. He says it snappy and easy to navigate. I love that it doesn’t have bloatware and the cameras are pretty good. Only had it for a few days..will update in a few months

I bought this phone after looking for a unlocked phone under $150 with 4gb of RAM and a decent processer. It took me awhile but this phone came up.I had never heard of this company but read online they are trying to get their name out there by selling phones at a slim profit.Fun is pretty much stock Android so the phone runs pretty quick and doesn’t have much lag in basic use.I’ve played ARK,Fortnite and Pubg.ARK is known to be tough to run on lower end phones but runs well on lower settings. Pubg does have frame dips but runs well. Fortnite had framerate dips down to 20fps on lower settings. Changing settings could help but I don’t care much for Fortnite.Overall a great phone for the price. No bloatware and stock Android makes it a easy and fast experience. I’m really happy with the phone and the price I paid

It is dual 4G sim dual standby, supporting T mobile, can use at some in other countries. The battery life is the best I’ve had from any phone.Nice to have. I will suggest to get one of this
