I plugged this in and it just works. No issues. I bought this to use with Canon’s new beta webcam software. If you’re looking for that reason then I’d say a couple of things. The image you get is awesome; better than my logitech webcam by far AND with depth of field which blurs the background. The biggest negative is that there is a delay in the video processing. But this is not a review of the connection itself, which is good. I just want to make sure that if you had the expectation of using your Canon for a webcam, you better have the processing power behind it to minimize the time delay you see from real-time to streaming video.
