If you already know you stop breathing during your sleep, this could be a life-saver that gets you to a sleep doctor for an official diagnosis. My husband is a snorer and has sleep apnea. This little ring and its accompanying app showed us how severe it is. The app is pre-set to alarm at 88% O2 but it is adjustable. Husband’s breathing stopped between 50-70 times per hour. That’s severe. Now he’s off to the sleep clinic. The ring and app are very simple. The alarm, already pretty loud, can be adjusted with your phone using the app and the vibration level is adjustable through the app. This could be a lifesaver to wake you up when you’re not breathing because sleep apnea can lead to heart and brain damage as well as potentially causing innumerable problems during the day from lack of good, deep sleep. The first ring I got worked perfectly for about a week then it started to go offline from the app in the middle of the night. Returned the first and ordered a new one. This one quit on the first and second night. The company’s communication was good until I told them the second one didn’t work either so they quit responding. Take your chances — if you get one that works, they’re great for sleep apnea.

The Wellue O2Ring Wearable Sleep Monitor is outstanding. It is a very small sleek one piece system that reasonably comfortably fits on a thumb or index finger. It is incredibly well thought out/engineered in my opinion and beyond easy to use. There are no menus on the device, it just works by slipping it on a finger. It then just starts displaying instantaneous data and recording. Using the supplied USB cable it connects with a W10 PC or Mac and the software is ultra-intuitive and easy to use. The printable PDF report and graphics are also excellent. It easily will connect with an iPhone but the PC is needed to save the data and print the reports. I have only had it two days and used it two nights so I do not know about its longevity. Also, you must use the supplied special USB cable or your SOL so don’t lose it! Without the supplied USB cable it still can be charged but it is only good for displaying instantaneous data. Downloading the PC software took such a long time I had to start the download multiple times because it appears their server is very slow.In sharp contrast, I previously used a CMS-50F Plus wrist recording pulse-oximeter. It worked but it was a kludgy two part device consisting of a relatively large rectangular wrist watch type device and a large uncomfortable finger sensor. I went through two of them over the years because both the displays and batteries eventually failed. The software also worked and gave useful reports but was not all that intuitive to use and it was necessary to follow a precise sequence on both the device and PC to download the data. The Wellue device is far superior and especially so in comparison to this other product.

I bought this for my husband…he has had a snoring problem for a long time and sometimes he wakes up because he can’t breathe! I really worry about his lack of oxygen during the nights! I was talking to a friend about this issue and she recommended this monitor to me…I was a little bit skeptical about it and wondered how this small device can help him. Then I read about the ring device properties and decided to have him give it a try. It was easy to set up in the app and use it. He was using it during sleep and it helped him a lot by vibrating to warn him when his oxygen level dropped during sleep. He was able to adjust during his sleep. The app is easy to monitor ur oxygen level, heart rate with every second. Overall, this device is portable, comfortable and very easy to use. Definitely Recommended!!!

I just got this yesterday, but it was greatly anticipated. I did a TON of research. I have dysautonomia and MS. But the dysautonomia is brutal and completely debilitating. With Covid, however, I’m very at risk and cannot go out unless it’s an emergency. My heart rate and oxygen became worrisome, but we didn’t want to go to the hospital to be fitted for a Holter monitor. My doctor agreed and we decided I’d get a continuous monitor on my own and send him the results. That meant I need something really accurate that can track the drastic spikes and drops that I have.I decided on a chest strap, but knew it wouldn’t give me oxygen data, and also would likely be uncomfortable to sleep in. Then I found this ring, and that it’s fda approved, etc. After much thinking, I decided on the ring. The data it provides is fantastic. And I believe it’s more accurate than the pulse ox I was using, because it’s better able to track the spikes and drops. The pulse ox misses them completely sometimes, but I was watching them on the ring (and could feel them). I realize it’s only been less than 24 hours, but I’m so pleased at this point. And the reports are awesome. I highly recommend using the computer to upload the data to because it’s a much more detailed report. If anything changes, I’ll update. But so far, I’m in love.

I use this in conjunction with my fitbit and Snorelab app. I wear it at night. If you look at the results and write down the time intervals of sustained low O2 and compare it to your Snorelab results you will see that the low O2 intervals coincide with stopped breathing (apneas) on your Snorelab results. The Snorelab app records your snoring and is awesome when combined with this and very easy to use. Once I realized how they coincided I used my wifes cell phone to videorecord me sleeping all night. It showed that everytime my Low O2 levels and apneas occurred I was sleeping on my back. Now I wear a device that prevents me from sleeping on my back and my apneas are gone! Im sooo happy. I also wear a mouth device that vastly reduces my snoring. I had a sleep study done before monitoring all of this on my own and it showed moderate sleep apnea on the first night and severe on the second night and prescribed me a cpap machine but I really wanted to avoid that if possible. This worked so well for me that Im not going to get the cpap machine unless for some reason my sleep apnea and snoring return. Btw I had read that drinking alcohol before going to bed increases the severity of your sleep apnea that night and its true. I was amazed at how much worse my snoring and apneas were after drinking. I wouldnt have been able to figure any of this out without this device. My oxygen levels are so much better now and I actually feel rested when I wake up in the morning. Anyway I love this device and its worth every penny.

I am a 52-year-old female with a history of heart issues. I have never had any concerns regarding my breathing and oxygen levels. Ever since I had surgery replacing my pacemaker in December 2019, I have had episodes of awaking in the middle of the night gasping for air. I started looking for something that could track my breathing and heart rate overnight. After much research, I chose the Wellvue O2 Ring. I liked the freedom of not being tied down by any wires, and the ability to download and save the history. Due to infusion treatments, I was able to spot check the accuracy and was quite pleased. It was a few nightly readings that brought a potential life-or-death situation to my attention. The reports showed severe drops in my oxygen saturation (potentially stopped breathing) correlating to drops in my heart rate (actually dropping below my pacemaker’s setting of 60 beats-per-minute, into the 40s).Although I thought these readings possibly were due to the ring moving around on my finger, and it might be nothing to be concerned with, I called my neurologist and sent over a few nights worth of data. She quickly sent me to a sleep study center, where I spent the night hooked up to many wires … AND I wore my Wellvue O2 ring. It amazingly confirmed the data!Although I only had the ring a few weeks (as I lost it yesterday at the hospital after my last infusion), I am grateful for it.Recommendation for an additional feature:allow for it to be programmed to vibrate below a set amount (chosen by the user) AND have an audible alarm for drops below another percentage or drops in heart rate (again, chosen by the user). Because I seem to be in super deep sleep states during many of these drops. This would also be great as it would alert my husband when things could be a potential dangerous situation. I am a willing beta tester :)Highly recommend this O2 Ring. I am impressed. Worthy of the price.

I got this product as a gift for my husband. He has been snoring for years and postponed multiple appointments with his doctor. Recently he complained of headache and felt not refreshed in the morning. It kept me up during the night. I tried to wake him up when there was long time stop of breathing, but I can’t watch him the whole night. I started looking for a simple oximetry online, then I saw this product. It is out of my budget. However, I was thinking that if it can wake him up then it’s worth it. It turned out to be the best gift ever for him. It looks fancy, easy on, easy off. We can see the O2 saturation on the phone easily. We didn’t expect that his saturation was as low as 78% during the night. We set up the alarm level as 80%. The vibration successfully woke him up without bothering me. LOL. I have better sleep and he feels much more refreshed. We also made appointment with doctors asap as we see how bad the problem is. We want to prevent the accident from happening. Thank god, this O2 ring prompted us to take better care of ourselves.

I only write reviews when something or some service is either 5 stars or 1 star, and this O2Ring gets my 5 star vote. Now after a few nights using the O2ring, which vibrates if my blood oxygen goes below 90, it’s helping me to prevent sleeping on my back (and snoring). As a test, I disabled the vibrate alarm and my blood oxygen did indeed suffer (when I am sleeping on my back and snoring).I thought that I would definitely prefer the PC reports and CSV data saving capability, but the iPhone app really does work quite well. It has 30 min., 1 hour, 5 hour and 10 hour zoom windows, and while no zooming (2 finger stretch) is possible, it does support “wiping” quickly through the 30 min. windows to see things closer up.I hope that this review helps you.

I have mild sleep apnea and have found that the reports of the 02 Ring have alerted me when my sp02 level had dropped below 88 and the vibration causes me to shift in my sleep. After a few nights, I decided that I would try to improve my night’s sleep by doing a nasal rinse before retiring. When I do a rinse the incidents of drops of 4% are reduced and alerts are dramatically reduced. This will be a continuing project but I feel that the input from the 02Ring is indispensable and to be frank, much more accurate then the sleep study that only records one evening’s sleep. When I had my sleep study it was the night after a miserable night’s sleep and the night of the sleep study was very good. This gave the impression that my sleep apnea is mild, which it may or may not be.But, with the 02Ring there will be no doubt of the number of events that occur over time.

I’ve used this device for a week. It is easy and comfortable to wear. It is configurable for the alerts if your O2 or heart rate drops too low. The phone app allows you to zoom in and look at the details. The PC software is great as you can export the reports to a PDF or export to a .csv file to see all the data points. It seems to collect information every 4 secs. You will most likely need to charge your device daily if you are getting 8 hrs + sleep. It’s easy and provides you and your doctor with added insights to your sleep stats and can make you aware of them if you have any. Warranty is for a year so I am hoping the battery lasts for a long time since it is not replaceable.
