I love this thing. I slapped on some POM keycaps and it’s really great! The stock keycaps are pretty great too! No goofy font or anything like that. It’s a great looking and feeling keyboard. The only downside I’ve seen so far is just the fact that if you pull your keycaps the switches will come out with them sometimes! But it’s a hot swap pcb so if they come out all you need to do is make sure your switch pins aren’t bent and pop them back in!Beautiful looking and sounding board for the price. The 3 acrylic plates that make up the body of this keeb are not even on the ends though, so just know that there is a chance of the ends not being smooth. Stabilizers on mine do not rattle AT ALL.This thing feels almost custom straight from Amazon so! Hope that helps.

I’m in love with this mechanical keyboard. I got the brown switches and it sounds so smooth and more “thock thock thock” rather than “click click click” (which I prefer). Many people customize their switches by lubing or fixing the stabilizers to give their keyboard the “thock” noise and this one sounds GREAT without any customizations. This keyboard is HOT SWAPPABLE, meaning you can easily change out the switches and keycaps which is a huge plus if I ever decide to customize it later. The acrylic casing is really study and it shines out the RGB so beautifully even in the daytime. Pictures or videos really don’t do this keyboard justice. AND there are so many different modes to change the RGB straight from the keyboard. The only downside is that the keyboard is pretty flat. The risers in the back don’t really tilt it much to an angle so I can see how it would be uncomfortable for some people but I personally don’t mind it, or I could add thicker cushions on the bottom to make it more tilted/raised.10/10 BUY THIS KEYBOARD! You will not be disappointed.

I have used the K87 extensively for work and gaming over the last two months and I recommend it. It is a great value and a good introduction to smaller keyboard form factors. The keyboard has a 60% layout with dedicated arrow keys and a 1U right shift key. It comes with a 1.5M USB-A to USB-C cable, a keycap puller, and a switch puller. The keyboard also comes with additional keycaps (COMMAND, OPTION, CONTROL) to replace the “WIN” key if you happen to be using an operating system other than Windows. Most of the keycaps are stark white with black type. The special function and modifier keys are grey except for the “ESC” key and the delete key, which are red. The dedicated arrow keys will be useful to anyone who interacts with spreadsheets on a regular basis. The keycaps are thick PBT in an XDA-like profile and feel great to type on. I can type very quickly on this keyboard. The keycaps use a Cherry MX stem.I ordered the version of this keyboard with Gateron Optical Browns. My understanding is that these are removable and hot-swappable with other optical switches, but not mechanical switches. It is IP6X rated for water- and dust-proofing. The keycaps are quite clack and provide a good amount of tactile feedback. The keyboard comes with a variety of different preprogrammed lighting modes, but the lighting can be adjusted with great granularity in the associated software suite. My biggest complaint about this keyboard is that the software is not user-friendly and requires time and study to understand. However, there are user-created alternative software suites for this keyboard actively being developed.

Got this K87 with the Gateron Yellow Linear Switch option (the best of the switches, in my opinion) and have been enjoying this keyboard after some modding (changing keycaps, lubing switches and stabilisers)Out of the box it is a decent keyboard. The large keys (spacebar, shift, enter, backspace) can be a bit noisy due to the stabilizers but that was the only real thing i improved. After lubricating and putting some tape to quiten them and then lubricating the switches, it became a great keyboard even without factoring in the great price! The RGB is smooth and bright. Great animations and customizability. The only thing i can think they can realistically do is provide some larger feet for those that prefer an angled typing surface. I had to purchase some rubber feet seperately to give it a small 6 degree angle. The other thing is that you cant dim the brightness of the outer RGB ring – only the interior section.

TL;DR 10/10 amazing value keyboard with undeniably amazing RBG. Well built, solid construction, responsive switches, great feeling OEM profile PBT keycaps with clear legends and great shine-through. Stabilizers aren’t horrible and have some factory lubing, but grab some Krytox 205G0 to lubricate the stabs. Another reviewer mentioned that dielectric grease is a no go as the low profile exposes the stabs to more dust than high profile boards, gumming up the grease, but I have 0 experience. This is my first actual mechanical keyboard aside from my numpad so take this liberally if you’re looking to add this to your mech collection.I have been lurking for months on keyboard subreddits, youtube channels, and price checking every site I could find. Any comparable keyboard to this is over double the price (except 1 KPRepublic board) and you will likely have to wait for things to come in stock. This is ready to go, right now, with 1 day shipping to some people.- KPRepublic ZeeYoo 65% – $78.90 but it’s a 65% so keycaps will be hard to find outside of KPRepublic, and feel a little cramped IMO. Oh and shipping takes 1 month, or 2-3 weeks if you express ship.- Epomaker GK68XS Acrylic (with Bluetooth) – $175 barebones, $115 from Banggood with coupon, $90 case only if you want to do a conversion of your existing GK68 bumping the total price to $195- Tofu65 – $108 just for the case no PCB, $166 barebones from aliexpress, oh and you’ll have to learn how to solder because there’s no hotswap option.- Womier K66 – The 65% little brother to this board is $76, but has ABS keycaps, south-facing switches (good for cherry profile keycaps to prevent interference, but shine-through and RGB brilliance will be affected), and no page up/page down keys. You’ll also have to sacrifice the secondary legends if you replace the keycaps, and personally finding side-lit or even south oriented legends for 65% keycaps drove me up a wall because while there are many color options, none of them are pudding style. There was an option for reverse pudding keycaps (side-lit legends, clear top) but I don’t know about making my keyboard look like a midi controller. With some very standard mods, stabilizer & band-aid modding, then switch lubing & filming if you really felt like it ($20 for supplies), this board could easily sound just as amazing as it looks. The RGB is amazing. No I haven’t figured out how to do solid colors but the effects on this board are enough to keep me content for a lifetime. Reactive modes, non-reactive modes, color patterns and waves, it it really helps me see my desk in my dark apartment and also really brings me joy to use every day. Check out some youtube reviews to get all the functions as the included directions do not have them all.Get this board if you’re looking for something RGB, smaller than a full size, and easily customizable. The keycaps are PBT and will not fade, albeit they are thin and not very THOCC, but enough to hold you over until you get your pudding keycaps in, Gateron switches provide more value than any other switch as Cherry is far too overpriced and Otemus would likely make the hotswap Otemu only, and it doesn’t feel cheaply made at all to where I have concerns about the build quality or durability. I am so amazed, excited, and impressed with this as my first mechanical keyboard after months of checking out group buys, r/mechmarket, and watching from TaeKeyboards to the Dredgen Project, this absolutely provides a great value and great experience. The hotswap PCB and standard key sizes make customization very simple and I could not be happier. I only wished I grabbed a wrist rest as the keyboard sits a little high and the lack of any incline makes the typing angle harder on the wrists.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was never into modding mechanical keyboards and adding all the insane stuff but I am definitely enjoying this keyboard and will never be able to go back! I got the brown switches and the keys type like butter.Very vibrant and beautiful colors with memorizing patterns. The lights disperse great through the clear acrylic base and the floating keys. I even went the extra mile and got the HyperX Pudding key caps because I saw some others online do that and it went from amazing to outstanding! (There was nothing wrong with the original keys, these just look great on this) It’s quite literally a sea of color that you can stare at for hours!Build is of incredible quality with little to no flex in the board. None of the keys make clickity clacky noise that come from the usual lower end keyboards. It’s solid and firm with each press. You’ll seriously just want to type things out of pure enjoyment! Gaming is also great on this. I have no problem with multiple key presses and fast reaction time between them. Even came with a little brush, key cap puller, and switch puller. The software was a little hard to find but only took me maybe 5 minutes. The cable that came with it isn’t anything special but I know most people go crazy with their USB-C cables these days so it’s to be expected. I do miss my number pad as I used that very often for work and just regular every day use. If they ever make this keyboard in full size I’ll be picking that bad boy up so fast! The rubber stands aren’t adjustable but the rear stands are slightly higher than the front stands underneath to give a slight tilt. The keyboard functions like volume up/down etc aren’t obvious either by looking at the board. Tbh I didn’t check the instructions but I did find a list online where someone had posted all the keyboard commands. I’ll probably get a wrist rest for this as well but that’s just a personal preference. I wouldn’t say its that hard to use the keyboard without one though. What else is there to say? It’s a great entry level keyboard for people who like to swap out their key caps, switches, cables, etc. If it breaks someday I’ll probably buy another!TLDRPros:Vibrant beautiful colorsQuality key capsSolid foundationEasily swappable partsFree brush, key puller, and switch pullerUnobstructed USB-C portCons:Software is minimal and a little hard to findKeyboard shortcuts are not obviousHeight is non-adjustableUSB-C cable is non-braided run of the millI miss having a numpad (Personal Preference)

My niece has been eyeing this keyboard for a long while and after her previous keyboard went through some problems I wanted to surprise her. Upon its arrival, I noticed how good quality the keyboard was. Has a thick base and it’s a good size. I have a ducky myself keyboard and this is honestly good for its value. I loved how instantly the RGB lights shined through the key caps and around the base. In the instructional manual, you can find a guide in changing the colors whether it be changing the color rhythm or changing it to a solid color. What I loved the most is that it wasn’t too loud and is precise.

I bought this keyboard because I wanted to switch up my set up and had seen this keyboard on a Youtuber’s recommended list. I bought the key board with the blue switches and they feel just like any other blue switch very clicky but with a pretty premium build. Overall the board seems to be well made and the lighting is insane on this keyboard it is probably the coolest thing about it. I had a minor defect with the lighting on my board but customer service was super friendly and easy to contact and I was able to get a replacement that has fully functioning lights! Overall I’m super stoked about this keyboard and if you’re in the market for a mechanical/ gaming keyboard this is definitely worth checking out!

This keyboard works, is already nice stock, and I personalized it to my preference by replacing the Gateron Blue with Kailh BOX Jade, and the stock OEM shimethru keycaps with XDA “Manekineko” keycap set.I read a review that apparently, due to the hotswap nature, the keys and keyswitches “fall out” of the board if you flip it upside down- this does not at all happen for me. If anything, the keyswitches are to me quite firmly in there- there are some little recesses in the acrylic for the keyswitch hooks to fit into. I suspect the other reviewer may have improperly installed their switches, or used very worn out or misshapen switches.I saw in another reviewer complain the board’s plastic case is flimsy and will flex if you twist it. It does flex a little when I twist it but that’s such a weird and deliberate action- the case’s slight flex is just not an issue at all for daily typing and use. Maybe this is a problem if you bring your keyboard with you in a flexible bag? But I feel the reports of this keyboard being too flexible are very exaggerated.I noticed the stock images show different keycap fonts on the keycaps. I attached a pic of my stock keycaps to show the font used on the version I received in Feb 2021. It is a much cleaner font than the kind of ugly font you see on most cheap shinethrough keycaps.

I love my keyboard—it’s an amazing keyboard for people who are starting out in the keyboard hobby. I got it with gateron yellows and the stock switches are so smooth and thocky, it’s unreal. I might never go back to clicky/blue switches ever again. The stabs came factory lubed, but like the reviews have said, they were very rattle-y, but with some clipping and taping, they weren’t half bad! What WAS bad, were the keycap and switch pullers that came with them. I struggled so much with changing my keycaps, but luckily, i have another keycap puller. I bought some krytox 205g0 to lube the stabs and switches with, and I dread using the switch puller because it’s such a nightmare. If you choose to buy this keyboard, just buy a separate keycap/switch puller and save yourself the migraines. Also, the rubber feet at the bottom were uneven so it left the keyboard wobbling very often. This can be fixed but it’s kinda annoying. All in all though, i’m still thoroughly pleased and very happy with what I got for the amount I paid!
