We are using it with our UCS video conferencing unit and its working like a charm. Very happy to buy this product. I actually purchased one more additional mic daisy chained to existing one.

We purchased the YVC-1000 system and one additional YVC-MIC1000EX to host calls with up to 20 participants in our 24’x20′ conference space. Based on the first few real-world tests, the setup performed satisfactorily and completely in accordance with the specifications, as published by RevoLabs/Yamaha. The reason I am rating its service satisfactory and not great is because our chosen setup has pushed the YVC-1000 to the limit. Nonetheless, even under very unfavorable conditions, the system’s performance deserves a full 5-star rating.The build quality is solid. Both the speaker and the microphones are made of plastic, but they do not look nor feel cheap. They have a very pleasing visual appearance, and their black color will compliment any professional office environment. In terms of operation, the speaker functions flawlessly. The sound coming out of it is loud and clear. The challenge for us came from the fact that our conference room acoustics is bad. There is a continuous and relatively loud noise coming from the AC, combined with the hum generated by the projector’s fan unit. In addition, 15-20 conference participants can generate a fair amount of background noise during the call. We placed the two microphones centrally, in an attempt to evenly cover the entire conference space . Callers who sit between 2 and 4 feet away from the microphone sound crystal clear. Those sitting farther away can still be heard and understood fine. The two microphones can pick up voices from each corner of the room. Maximum distance between a conference participant and a microphone in our setup is about 11 feet. The sound level is high, and the sound clarity also stays acceptable. A perfect arrangement in these conditions would include two additional YVC-MIC1000EX units, but for now, we are happy with what we currently use. Important to note is that the system allows a link of up to five daisy-chained microphones, which are all connected and powered by regular patch cables (CAT5/6). While the $1,200+ tag can certainly appear discouraging to some, the system’s ability to scale up with ease, and the built-in advanced auto-tuning features justify the cost, and make the YVC-1000 an excellent choice for an audio conferencing solution.UPDATE 10/4/2018: We are still very pleased with the system. The performance stays very solid & reliable.UPDATE 10/4/2019: A year later, and still going strong!!! 🙂
