This mouse is both exceptionally functional and a real bargain.After running it on my main Windows 10 system for months, I’m now sharing it by way of a USB KVM switch, between a dual-boot Mac and the same Windows box. I”m so particular about mouse behavior that I run special software on all the OSX instances the Mac boots to. Still, I’ve never quite got the feel I need to be as adept and productive with the mouse as I could on Windows. The Mac has always felt like walking with cement boots. Not any more. With little tweaking, I regularly move clear across a 3440×1440 monitor, and slow down for single-pixel accuracy with the least conceivable effort.I’ve had the ZLOT for quite awhile already, and it’s still working and sliding smoothly as at first. In fact, as I wrote this, I thought to flip it over and see how the underside is doing. Hmmm. Worth a comment.To now, I’ve been a big fan of Logitech Optical models. I must have used them since the mid-90s at least. Keep several spares around. The Logitechs have 4 round buttons that they slide around on. Eventually these go. When I flipped the ZLOT over just now, I had forgotten how huge the same pads are on the ZLOT. They’re not going to wear out before I die.There IS just one very subtle suggestion I have (for ALL mouse manufacturers, actually): A regular preparation I make in my Logitech Optical mice is to remove the detent from the mouse wheel. It isn’t that the detent required excessive force or imposed discomfort. If you work long hours, that tiny little bit of herky-jerkiness does something to the nerves in your pointer finger. As unimportant as it may seem, this effect is almost eliminated by removing the detent.For the same reason, I prefer that the mouse wheel is round and smooth, versus sculpted or textured.I’d love the ZLOT all the more if it had these features. It’s not obvious how to take it apart, at least to remove the detent.In any case, in all the usual respects, this mouse is a winner. No more Logitechs for me.For those who haven’t used a vertical mouse before, the egonomic advantage of the vertical is easily under-estimated. Yes, It’s nice to work with your wrist in a more natural state of rotation. But an additional advantage for fine pointer articulation is, that with the side of your hand resting on the mouse pad, the side of your hand works as an anchor from which you can gently coax the mouse in the finest increments.The ZLOT appears to be made to last. Its feel is perfect. Its action is perfect. And it has a lot of leeway to tweak the latter to just what you want. Windows behavior is better than ever before. And OSX behavior is orders of magnitude better than ever before.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I now own every vertical mouse on Amazon that costs less than $50. Not by choice mind you, it’s because all the other ones broke. The best direct comparison to the ZLOT, is the Anker vertical mouse. I’ve owned two Anker mice, and both broke beyond hope within months.After about 6 weeks of testing, I can tell the build quality is definitely better than the Anker. Battery life is good, and the ergonomics are great for my large hands. The DPI settings on the wireless version seems a bit silly, as a proper gaming mouse should probably be hard wired to reduce latency. Otherwise, what’s there to say? It works, it’s at a great price point, and it looks much better than other wireless vertical mice. I’ll update this review if I encounter any issues in the future.

Pretty comfortable mouse and great for gaming and other applications. I like the joy stick at the top for executing various things in a game but don’t really like it for moving around in a game. For example I programmed when you pull the joystick towards you for crouching in a FPS game; but found trying to move around and look around on the same mouse to be difficult. For example you have to use your thumb to work the joystick which makes gripping the mouse at the same time difficult since now your thumb is on the top of mouse and no longer on the side; it is possible to do so but I just did not like using it that way. If someone did not have the use of their left hand this would be a great option. The advantage of using the joystick on the top for various other functions in a game means that you will not accidentally hit a button for those things assigned to the joystick which is nice since it is on the top and out of the way. It is quite a unique design and I find it fairly comfortable; but the one problem I have is trying to reach both the back and forward button with a relaxed hand since I have smaller hands for a guy and have to stretch for my thumb to reach. Overall if you like vertical mice or looking for something that would be better for the carpal tunnel nerve with additional buttons I would recommend it. There are 10 programmable buttons if you don’t change the dpi buttons. On the downside it doesn’t have a sniper button (which reduces the dpi for more accurate shots) and if you have small hands it can be a little difficult to reach both the back and forward buttons.

It’s true, this position is better. I actually bought the wrong one and still think the up and down thumb buttons would be better rather than two side by side on bottom but I’m not going to hold that against this mouse as it’s what they said it is. Except better.The feel of the material on the sides is lovely. It’s like a very thing neoprene sheet that gives it a sort of softness, a rich feel. The size works for me and I have standard large hands (glove size). Sometimes feels a tad small but this actually allows me to grip it one handed and use the top 5 function thumb button.I’ve got plent of macro keys so I use the programmable buttons mostly as media functions like volume up and down, pause/play, forward, back.I mostly do research, reading and writing stuff. But I switched to and old game for fun (C&C Generals) and forgot I had a different mouse. Then I read the manual so I could assign secondary configuation. Cool.Really it does, does, does, make a diference using a vertical mouse and I’m gonna keep doing it.Oh, the LEDs. I thought I’d turn those off right away but they are actually good looking. I’ve got the multicolor undulating thing going and not annoyed at all. I’m a bit annoyed that I’m not as this is the usual case for me.The Good: Vertical is better, texture is great, lights are not annoying.The Bad: nothin’.

I LOVE this mouse. It has replaced my Evoluent Ergonomic mouse as a daily driver (for work – software developer). It’s almost replaced my Logitech G604/G602 for gaming (World of Warcraft). I expect it to fully replace my gaming mouse once I re-learn all the muscle memory. If you’re a parent looking for a cheap mouse for your kid, you can’t go wrong with this one.I wasn’t expecting much at this price point, but this mouse is a great option for anybody. It feels good in my large hand, doesn’t stress my wrist at all. Cursor tracks great with default settings on lowest sensitivity. Had to download the software from a Chinese website (thank you Google Translate!), but once I got it installed, it’s all in English. I was able to re-map the D-stick to numpad keys, which I then keybind in World of Warcraft. It took all of an hour and replaced my old Logitech G602 when it died at a bad time. I’m currently using this to tank mythic+ WoW dungeons, using the D-stick for many core abilities. Much more than I expected for $30, and still the only ergonomic mouse I can find with enough buttons to be useful for WoW.The Cons:* The directional stick … isn’t actually one. It doesn’t show up in Windows as an actual directional stick (like an Xbox/PS controller would – with an X and Y axis). Rather, it’s just 4 buttons (WASD). For my purposes, this is fine (I want it to just trigger buttons) but still feel I’d be better off with just 5 buttons than the “D stick that isn’t actually a D stick”. Maybe this can be changed in the software and I just didn’t dig deep enough? As other reviewers point out, the “dead zone” of this D stick makes it feel a bit cumbersome.* The RGB color settings are quite limited. Personally, I don’t use any of that. But if you want a super fancy customizable RGB mouse, this isn’t the one for you (also, expect to pay at least double).* The software is definitely not nearly as pretty as the Logitech equivalent. Functionally it’s comparable (macros, key rebinds, change DPI settings), just not quite as polished. Honestly this didn’t bother me at all (I figured it out easy enough), and the mouse will function just fine without the software. You only need the software if you want to customize what each button does. Once that’s done, the settings are actually saved to the mouse’s internal memory, so you never need the software again!* The button right underneath the scroll wheel is a bit tricky to reach. That’s probably by design (the default is for this to change cursor speed/DPI). I have re-bound it to my “Taunt” ability in WoW, and sometimes it’s hard to reach in the heat of the moment. I am slowly re-leaning how to press it with the underside of my middle finger knuckle which is actually very comfortable/ergonomic.

I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now and it works nicely. It does take a bit of getting used to coming from using a regular mouse, but the ergonomic shape has really grown on me. I read and highlight a lot of PDF documents and scrolling and highlighting are very easy with this. The scroll wheel is smooth and the buttons are easy to click. They are NOT silent though, so this is definitely not something you want to be using in a library or other quiet space. The mouse works fine on a plain, wood desktop or other surfaces and tracks cleanly. I keep the blue light around the edge turned off and I haven’t had to charge it once since I took it out of the box and I use it for several hours a day.Setup with my Mac was super easy – just plug in the USB dongle, turn on the mouse, and it’s ready to go. I did adjust the scrolling and tracking speeds in the Mac settings, but that took about thirty seconds.Overall, this is comfortable and easy to use and has an amazing battery life, and I certainly recommend it.

I started using this mouse as soon I got it. I use a computer for 8 – 11 hours/day and had some strain on my wrist as a result. I switched to this mouse and it made a world of difference! I know it will take some time getting use to it at first. How it moves around will feel different because it’s a vertical mouse instead of a flat, horizontal one. Once you learn how to use it, you won’t want to go back to a regular one!

I really like this mouse! This is my first ergonomic mouse and it fits my hand perfectly!! I am not going back to a regular mouse ever again. My normal gaming mouse was a g700s, but not being ergonomic became a pain for my wrist. I tested this device in Windows 10 and all buttons function properly ”left mouse click, right mouse click, forward and back buttons, scroll wheel.” I also tested on a MacBook Air with High Seira and all buttons worked except the forward and back browser buttons. Lastly I like how the dpi settings can be quickly viewed by the color of the LED light. Oh and as a bonus the USB cable, is covered with nylon weave for added durability. This mouse works great and is an incredible value. Another bonus the mouse has a soft grip that feels good to the fingers! 5 stars!!!

Update 5/7/2020: It doesn’t take very long before it becomes more natural, easier, to use the downward button. Still a bit wobbly, but definitely not a deal breaker.Original post: It feels good in the hand. No stress on my wrist. The buttons and switches feel like quality items (I’ve had it a week now, so if it breaks too soon, I’ll update). I’ve got a normal size hand for an average height male, and all the buttons are easy to reach. The only switch that is difficult to operate is the fifth switch in the stick (press down into the mouse housing), which I expected – it’s always going to be difficult pushing a stick straight down. However, I Love that I can program the other four switches on the stick to take care of the things I do most often with keyboard macros (changing tabs in a browser by pushing the stick left or right is my favorite).

THE REVIEW:The light bars of this are of a much nicer quality than I could have expected, the DPI is FAST! So fast that the highest setting may be a bit unusable but that’s all ok because it can be adjusted to a lower DPI of course.The material is smooth to the touch, which feels great, and my hand feels much better after a long time of using a vertical mouse compared to traditional.The Macros work just fine, but if you want macros then you should just use a different mouse with macro assigned buttons.THE CATCH:HOWEVER, the “joystick” on this mouse is complete garbage due to the deadzone being so far you basically have to slam the sucker all the way to the side. I will be looking to remap the stick to be used for menu or inventory settings, etc. However, you can use it to jump if you press it due to it equaling the space bar.Joystick press == SpacebarUsually, these ZELOTES mice are complete garbo, but this one is just a bit ahead of the others.
